Meet Micah, who came to us as an owner surrender. He was recently adopted from us, but just didn't seem to like the male adult in the home and was returned. He has been back with us for a month or so and is doing excellent. He is a 3-year-old Dachshund mix, neutered, fully vetted and gets along with all dogs. He is housebroken and crate trained. Story
Please read ALL of this listing prior to asking questions. If you are interested in Pretzel, and feel that you would be a good match for him, please submit an application as stated towards the end of his listing. After we receive your application we will contact you... thank you! Meet Pretzel... our newest senior Dachshund who is now looking for his forever home since previous guardian passed away. This little guy weighs about 13-lbs.and is about 12-years old. Even though he's a senior, he's still an extremely active boy and loves going for long walks and rides very well in the car. We are looking for a family for him who is active and will take him for walks and on new adventures. He's well behaved, not a barker, and gets along well with people and other dogs, so he is a wonderful companion. Pretzel is housetrained and crate trained, although he'd rather not sleep in his crate. At times he can be stubborn, as are most Dachshunds, but he generally wants to please and is very treat-motivated. Pretzel is neutered, current on his Distemper/Parvo and Rabies vaccines, tested negative for Heartworms, and is microchipped. Pretzel currently needs weekly shampooing to treat his skin issues. The weekly shampooing with a medicated shampoo should be able to keep it under control and keep him comfortable. Fortunately, Pretzel doesn't mind his baths and is very cooperative! Pretzel's adoption fee is $400.00 Pretzel is a loving, active, and smart little boy who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that Pretzel would be a good match for your family, please submit an application by going to our website foreverhomek9rescue.org for an application and email the completed application to us at foreverhomek9rescue@yahoo.com. You can also submit an application by going to: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption/ (cut and paste). Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home! Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

Story
Please read ALL of this listing prior to emailing with questions or inquiries. If you are interested in Deana and feel that you would be a good match for her, you MUST FIRST fill out and submit our application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). After we receive your application and review it, we will contact you. Thank you! Biscuit is a cute little 11-lb. Dachshund/Chihuahua mix who is looking for his forever home and family, along with his buddy, Dixie. We're told he's about 11-years old, but he certainly doesn't act like a senior... he still has plenty of energy and enjoys going for long walks. In his foster home, Biscuit gets along well with the other three small dogs. He is well housetrained, and 'does his business' on a leash since his foster home doesn't have a fenced yard. Biscuit does sleep in a crate at night, but doesn't enjoys it and will complain for a while before he settles down. He does not do well riding in a car, so a family who generally stays close to home and will take him for nice long walks (which he really enjoys) will be best for him. Biscuit especially loves his foster dad, and will cuddle next to or on him whenever possible. We know that he would love to have a male in his new family! Biscuit is neutered, microchipped, current on his Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations, and tested negative for Heartworms. He also received a dental cleaning, so he is fully vetted and ready to go to his forever home. Biscuit's adoption fee is $400.00 if adopted separately. The adoption fee is $600.00 for Biscuit and Dixie together. Biscuit is a loving, sweet, and smart little boy who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that you would like to add Biscuit (or Biscuit and Dixie together) to your family, please submit an application at: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ (copy and paste). Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home!
