Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hello! My name's Ibar! Ibar is a charming little dog with a heart full of love. Despite a challenging start in life from a hoarding situation, he has proven to be resilient and sweet-natured. This adorable canine companion has a special affinity for toys and delights in playtime, especially with other dogs. Due to his past experiences, Ibar may initially appear shy, but underneath that hesitancy lies a gentle and affectionate soul. He is in the process of learning to trust and become more comfortable with people. Patience is key when interacting with Ibar, as he may take some time to warm up to new faces and situations. In the right environment, Ibar has the potential to blossom into a confident and happy pup. A caring and patient owner who understands his need for time and reassurance will be the perfect match for Ibar. With love and support, Ibar is sure to overcome his fears and embrace the joy that life has to offer. *He has had surgery for his cherry eyes twice but they have come back both times.*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Teddy is a 8.5-year-old, 11lb long haired Dachshund Teddy is looking for a quiet home with structure where he can spend lazy days on the couch. Teddy likes to play with dogs his own size but would need dogs with a similar temperament. He can take a little while to warm up to men, so a meet would be beneficial. When Teddy knows he's in a stable environment with a set routine he thrives and is a sweet lovable boy. If you think you can give him a peaceful life, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!May 28, 2024, 11:31 am

Story
Meet Fred! This beautiful blonde brindle boy is a dachshund mix with an enviable coat and physique! Fred is 3 years old and weighs 12lbs. Fred came to us in bad shape, abandoned in an empty house when his previous owners moved out and didn't take him. Luckily, Fred rallied quickly with vet care and some TLC. He is now healthy, energetic, playful, and affectionate. Fred is quiet and sleeps through the night. He is house trained and crate trained. Fred is a sensitive boy who loves physical affection and has a lot of love to give. He will climb onto your lap any chance he gets, nuzzle in, give kisses, and request skritches. Fred will jump for joy when its time to go for a walk, but can get overwhelmed by loud noises once outside - though this is improving every day! Because of this, he is still working on perfecting his leash skills. Fred is friendly with children, other animals, at the vet, in the car, and during excursions to dog-friendly venues. Friendly Fred is just friendly, period. Fred thrives in the company of a playful and confident dog. Fred's ideal home has a fur sibling and a patient human who is understanding of his past and invested in cultivating his confidence. This sweet and smart boy will make a wonderful addition to the right home. Could that home be with you?!

Story
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Wiley! Unlike the coyote, I can relate to dynamite because although I maybe small, I leave a big impression, need to be handled with care, and I like to get down to business! As you hoomans like to say, dynamite comes in a small package! First of all, I have an existing back injury and do not have the use of my back legs, but I have my own set of wheels and am very comfortable using them to go on walks. Second, I need a home without children due to my demeanor, size, and before mentioned injury. Third, my big personality sometimes is me over compensating for being a little nervous. I do best with slow introduction. My love language is ball! I am currently between houses but temporarily I reside with 2 dogs and an ornery cat. I am looking for a permanent home that will advocate for me and take it slow if there are other creatures in the home. I would be an amazing only pet! I am pretty low energy and am really just looking for understanding and companionship. What do you say? ##1944910##
