*** AVAILABLE ONSITE ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY OR BY APPOINTMENT ONLY - email adoptions@savinggracenc.org to schedule *** Meet Willow, a sweet and spirited dog with a heart full of love. Willow does not seem to be able to hear and also has bilateral microphthalmia, which affects her vision as she is likely only able to discern areas of light or dark. With that being said, this little dachshund is able to navigate her world just fine - she eats well, loves treats, likes to ride in the car, can go up and down stairs unassisted, and enjoys chewing on bones without bothering the furniture. Willow is doing well on her housetraining and prefers the freedom to run loose in a securely fenced yard. She manages short leash walks. While in her foster home, she managed well with five dogs of various ages and sizes, but she would probably thrive best as the only dog or with a companion of a similar size. Willow is a relatively quiet gal, but likes to use her voice when playing with other dogs or if she needs your attention. Because she is not highly visual and cannot hear, Willow can be a little toy- and food-possessive at times, and would probably do best in an adult-only home. Willow does well entertaining herself with her toys and afterwards she is ready to snuggle. This gal is hoping for a patient and understanding adopter, as she is truly a sweet dog who is ready to shower her new family with affection and joy!

Story
(11/21/2023) Gregory is ready to meet his paw-fect family!  He is a sweet, silly boy with a lot of panache!  He will win you over quickly because he's just a little social butterfly.  He loves everyone he meets and doesn't know what the word stranger means.  He has the cutest smile that will light up any room! He loves playing with his other furry doggie siblings and well-mannered kiddos!  It would be nice (but is not required) if his new family had 2-legged and 4-legged family members to play with since he is still a young and has a lot of puppy energy to burn off daily.  He loves to play and wants someone who enjoys being silly and goofy with him.  It will be a win-win and bring a smile to your lips and a joy to your hear!  Little Gregory loves to snuggle and cuddle on the sofa with you when he is worn out from playtime.  Make sure you have a little spot ready for him to get comfy in and take a great nap!   If you have a home with a fenced yard, it must be solid or very narrow slats and no gaps at the bottom, etc. With Gregory's small size he could slip through, and we want to make sure he is safe at all times.  With that in mind, little Gregory would be a pup that would be a good fit for an apartment, condo or townhome. Gregory has not been cat tested. Since he is still young, he is still working on potty training and will need someone who is working from home/home a majority of the time to keep him on routine to reinforce his schedule. He is also working on crate training and sleeps in his crate at night. He is just learning about collars and leashes and is not a current fan of being on leash and/or going potty when on leash. This will be something his new family will need to be very patient about and continue to positively work with him especially if there is no solid fencing. Are you now thinking, Gregory sounds like the paw-fect pup for you?  Well, you better fill out that application :)! As part of Gregory’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Gregory, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2065558##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hello! My name's Ibar! Ibar is a charming little dog with a heart full of love. Despite a challenging start in life from a hoarding situation, he has proven to be resilient and sweet-natured. This adorable canine companion has a special affinity for toys and delights in playtime, especially with other dogs. Due to his past experiences, Ibar may initially appear shy, but underneath that hesitancy lies a gentle and affectionate soul. He is in the process of learning to trust and become more comfortable with people. Patience is key when interacting with Ibar, as he may take some time to warm up to new faces and situations. In the right environment, Ibar has the potential to blossom into a confident and happy pup. A caring and patient owner who understands his need for time and reassurance will be the perfect match for Ibar. With love and support, Ibar is sure to overcome his fears and embrace the joy that life has to offer. *He has had surgery for his cherry eyes twice but they have come back both times.*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 19, 2024, 3:47 pm

Story
Meet Tinkerbell, your new partner in coffee dates and cuddles! Tinkerbell may be a senior, but her heart is forever young. This basset mix pup brings a delightful blend of calmness and curiosity to every moment. With a snuggly nature that could warm even the coldest of days, Tinkerbell is the ultimate companion for lazy mornings and cozy evenings. She's not just about relaxation, though - Tinkerbell's curiosity keeps her exploring the world with the wonder of a pup half her age. She's got a taste for adventure and would love nothing more than to join you on leisurely coffee dates, making every outing a memorable experience. Her love for people shines through, making her the perfect partner for companionship. Tink is an alpha-lady girl boss, so would do best in a home with a sibling who is very submissive, or as an only dog! Because she can be so bossy, she would also do best in a home without young children. If you're seeking a loyal and loving friend to share cuddles, and countless heartwarming moments, Tinkerbell is the one. Tink has completed her Heartworm procedures in the rescue, and will need to be re-checked in a year. Embrace the joy of having a forever companion who's as sweet as she is curious, and super playful! Adopt Tinkerbell today and let the delightful journey begin!
