Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Boo Boo requires an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application. PLEASE submit an application now at:   The link to our application is https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC          Miss Boo Boo is a very friendly and gets along fine with other dogs.  She is fostered with a pack of five other dogs.  While she does not actively interact with them, she acknowledges their presence and will push them aside so that she can receive pats from her humans. She loves her humans!!     She would do fine as an only dog or one of many. Her foster household does not have cats so we are not sure how she will get along with cats.  Her energy is low, she is such a couch potato!  She will lay with her head next to you and her eyes will look longing into yours as you pat her and show her affection.  The youngest child she has been around is 10 years old, but her temperament leads me to believe that she would do fine with children.  Boo Boo is food motivated but does not guard the resource. She does not need to be crated and does fine having free roaming privileges in her foster home. She is used to a fenced yard and would probably do best in a home with a fenced yard.   Boo Boo is an adorable grand lady that is looking for her forever home and would welcome the love and attention she so richly deserves.  EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Sadly, Boo Boo's owner passed away and she ended up in a rural shelter. Best Friend Pet Adoption stepped in knowing that senior dogs are rarely adopted from shelters and she was at risk.  We are now trying to find a good home for her.   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hello! My name's Ibar! Ibar is a charming little dog with a heart full of love. Despite a challenging start in life from a hoarding situation, he has proven to be resilient and sweet-natured. This adorable canine companion has a special affinity for toys and delights in playtime, especially with other dogs. Due to his past experiences, Ibar may initially appear shy, but underneath that hesitancy lies a gentle and affectionate soul. He is in the process of learning to trust and become more comfortable with people. Patience is key when interacting with Ibar, as he may take some time to warm up to new faces and situations. In the right environment, Ibar has the potential to blossom into a confident and happy pup. A caring and patient owner who understands his need for time and reassurance will be the perfect match for Ibar. With love and support, Ibar is sure to overcome his fears and embrace the joy that life has to offer. *He has had surgery for his cherry eyes twice but they have come back both times.*  You can apply to adopt our dogs at: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 19, 2024, 11:33 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Dobby is a 3 year old Dachshund mix that was saved from the shelter. He is around 30lbs. Dobby loves all adults. He has not met any children yet! He is completely house trained! He loves to sleep in the bed with his foster parents!  Dobby loves to be outside! He would love to have a backyard but doesn't need one. He is learning how to walk on a leash. He will bark at dogs and cats. He tries to chase bikes and motorcycles but not cars. He walks around 3 miles a day with his foster family!  Dobby is good with dogs most of the time but would be perfectly happy as an only dog. He would actually prefer to be the only dog. Story
Meet Sadie – Your Next Couch Cuddler & Quiet Companion! Quick Facts: Name: Sadie Breed: Wire-Haired Terrier/Dachshund Mix Age: 5–6 years Weight: 20 lbs House-Trained: Yes! Crate-Trained: Not needed—excellent house manners Other Pets: Would enjoy a calm doggie companion Good with Kids: Best in a quiet home without much hustle and bustle Energy Level: Low to medium—loves the couch life but enjoys playtime in the yard Special Needs: None Why You’ll Love Sadie: A perfect mix of playful curiosity and calm companionship House-trained and trustworthy when left alone A quiet, gentle soul who blossoms with patience Great with other mellow dogs Prefers cozy time over chaos—ideal for relaxed households Ready to be your movie marathon buddy! About Sadie’s Breed Mix: This charming combo of wire-haired terrier and dachshund brings together two spunky personalities in one small, endearing pup. Wire-haired terriers are lively and full of mischief, while dachshunds are determined, affectionate, and totally full of themselves—in the best way. Together, this mix gives you a clever, curious, affectionate little companion who’s as happy burrowing into a blanket as she is investigating a good backyard scent. Sadie’s Story & Personality: Sadie came to us shy and timid after living in a very busy home with many dogs—it just wasn’t her style. Since then, she’s blossomed in her foster home where life is quieter and calmer. She loves being the center of attention for her foster mom and has found her groove as a laid-back lap dog. Sadie doesn’t need a crate—she’s polite and trustworthy—and she’s completely housebroken too. She’s not much of an outdoorsy adventurer but will enjoy a secure yard to explore. She’s still learning leash manners, so a fenced yard is ideal. Sadie’s Perfect Home: Calm, quiet household A fenced yard for safe exploration Possibly another calm dog buddy Someone patient who will let her adjust and shower her with love Ready to Make Sadie Yours? Sadie is fully vetted, house-trained, and waiting for someone to share the quiet joys of life with. If you're looking for a sweet, snuggly best friend who loves the couch as much as you do, Sadie’s your girl. Apply to adopt Sadie today at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!May 14, 2025, 7:24 pm

Story
Meet Sinatra – The Crooner with a Canine Twist **Age:** 5 years **Breed:** Red Double Dapple Dachshund (though he has both vision and hearing intact) **Eyes:** Ol' Dazzling Blue Eyes **Location:** Looking for his forever stage (home)! Do you believe in love at first serenade? Meet **Sinatra**, the dapper dachshund with a voice as smooth as the legendary Frank himself! With his soulful *"a-woooo"* that echoes through the halls, Sinatra has a *special singing voice* that’s sure to steal your heart—and maybe a few neighborhood encores too. Sinatra is partially crate trained (he will go in, won't be happy in it but he will stay until you get home), leash trained, and lives for his daily walks (and the chance to strut his stuff). While he’s still working on mastering house training and crate training, he’s a quick learner and eager to please—especially when rewarded with a little affection and applause. **Socially?** Sinatra is a true artist—warm and devoted to his chosen people, and politely indifferent to strangers. He’s not rude, just more focused on the ones he loves. He gets along well with other dogs, but we’re still unsure about his feline compatibility. Given his expressive vocal talents, **no apartments** please—Sinatra prefers a home where his arias won’t echo through thin walls. Because of his unique needs and sensitive soul, he’s best suited to a family with **children 8 years and older**. If you’re looking for a loyal chairman of the board with charisma, charm, and just the right touch of drama, Sinatra’s ready to hit the high notes of life with you. *Start spreading the news... Sinatra is ready to find his forever home!* ##2380422##
