How I ended up there remains a mystery, but thankfully, kindhearted rescuers stepped in and gave me a second chance at a better life. Although I can't tell you much about where I came from, I'm hopeful that my future will be filled with love, happiness, and wonderful memories. Since being rescued, I've been given the opportunity to experience kindness and care, and I'm slowly discovering all the good things life has to offer.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I'm a sweet little girl with beautiful, expressive eyes that always seem to capture everyone's attention! The volunteers and staff compliment me every day on just how expressive my eyes are. They say I have a way of melting hearts with just one look! I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but that's only because so many things are still new to me. I'm growing more confident every day and warm up quickly once I feel comfortable. I genuinely enjoy being around people and get along well with both men and women. I also absolutely love treats, so tasty snacks are definitely the way to my heart! I'm a tiny little girl with an adorable, Dachshund-like body shape, which makes me even cuter in person! Because of my small size, I'll need a little extra supervision when exploring outdoors to make sure I stay safe and don't wander off. With my expressive eyes, sweet personality, and adorable little body, I have so much charm packed into such a tiny package!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but I'm a sweet girl who just needs a little time to feel comfortable. I happily accept gentle pets, and tasty treats are definitely a great way to win my heart! I also allow myself to be picked up and held. With a little patience, kindness, and reassurance, I'm sure we'll become wonderful friends! · With Dogs: I'm a friendly and playful girl who absolutely loves making new doggy friends! I enjoy greeting other dogs and joining in on playtime, which is one of my favorite parts of the day. Being around my dog friends brings me so much happiness and helps me feel more comfortable and confident. I also rely quite a bit on my doggy friends for emotional support, especially when I'm feeling a little unsure. Having another friendly, well-adjusted dog by my side helps me feel safe and reassured. Because of this, I would do especially well in a home with a doggy sibling who can show me the ropes, help me build confidence, and share plenty of fun adventures with me! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm still working on my leash manners and may pull a little at times, but overall, I follow my handler's lead nicely! Loud noises can sometimes startle me, so I feel much calmer and more confident when I have another dog walking by my side. Having a doggy friend nearby gives me that extra reassurance and helps me enjoy my walks even more! I'm also very polite when it comes to mealtime and don't guard my food around people or other dogs. However, when I'm in a new or unfamiliar environment, I can feel a little nervous and may refuse food or treats at first. Interestingly, having another dog nearby makes a big difference! I feel much more comfortable eating when I have a doggy friend with me. Once I've had some time to settle in and feel safe, I'll happily accept tasty treats. When it's time to rest, I settle calmly in my kennel. I'm also comfortable doing my business both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. I'm a sweet girl who's still building her confidence, and having a friendly doggy companion by my side really helps me feel secure. She will be probably 10 to 20 lbs as an adult (mom is 30 lbs). She is a energetic pup that loves doggie blankets, toys, dog beds and playing with litter mates. She will be a great companion for an active family with a securely fenced yard, polite/ calm children (over 12 years old) and another energetic/submissive dog (Evie is pretty bossy). Small mixed breed experience is recommended. She is an indoor dog. She likes walks and car rides. She would enjoy dog training classes. No apartments!

Iggy is a Chiweenie with the absolute best personality. He walks on leash and harness has pretty good. Potty manners is not super barky and is just an awesome boy all around. He’s great with all other animals. Iggy is approximately 6 to 7 years old and weighs 12 pounds short and stout. He just had a dental . Loves his people and gets very attached quickly. Meet Lotus (Lolo)! ❤️ At 10 years young and just 7.5 pounds, Lotus—affectionately known as Lolo—is a tiny sweetheart with a big personality. With her short legs and long body, we think she may be a Chiweenie mix, although she certainly has plenty of Chihuahua charm! Lolo came into rescue through no fault of her own when her loving owner could no longer afford the treatment she needed for seizures. Thanks to proper veterinary care, she is now stable and thriving. She will need lifelong medication, which she happily takes tucked inside a tiny pill pocket. Aside from her well-managed seizures and some mild age-related vision changes, she's in wonderful health. She has also had a dental, been spayed, and had a benign mammary tumour removed. Lolo is equal parts sweet and sassy! She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home and is good with respectful children, though her tiny size makes her better suited to a home without very young kids. She hasn't been tested with cats. This little lady loves life! She enjoys zoomies, playing fetch with soft toys, and proudly removing every squeaker and bit of stuffing she can find. When playtime is over, she's happiest curled up in your lap giving kisses or snuggled under the blankets beside you at bedtime. Lotus loves sunny days, leisurely walks filled with lots of sniffing, and spending time outdoors. She has good emerging leash manners and is fully house-trained in her foster home, using either the yard or pee pads. Like many dogs, she may need a little patience while adjusting to a new home, but she's a quick learner. Lolo can be vocal when she hears noises or visitors arrive—not because she's unfriendly, but because she'd much rather be picked up for cuddles! Because of this, a detached home would likely suit her better than an apartment or townhouse. If you're looking for a loving little companion with plenty of personality, Lotus is ready to fill your home—and your lap—with love.
