Sadly, instead of having a safe place to grow up together, we were each tied up separately near a mountainside and left there. We were at risk of being sold off to anyone who would take us, without knowing what kind of future was waiting for us. Thankfully, we were rescued and given a second chance. Now I’m safe, growing, and learning that people can mean comfort, affection, and love. I’m ready for the next part of my story—a forever family who will show me what it truly means to be home.   MY HEALTH Neutered Vaccinations up-to-date No known health concerns   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Twix! I’m a sweet, gentle little boy who might act a little shy when we first meet. But I have a not-so-secret weakness: treats! Give me something yummy and a little time to get to know you, and suddenly that shy puppy may turn into your little shadow. Once I realize you’re a friend, I love staying close and soaking up your affection. And I really mean it when I say I love being close to people. I feel so comfortable in someone’s arms that I may even start falling asleep while being held. That’s one of my happiest places to be. Once I trust you, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly. I also have the sweetest round eyes and a bright, expressive gaze that makes it very hard not to fall for me. My soft, longer black coat gives me an extra special look, too. I might need a moment to warm up—but once I do, there’s a very cuddly little boy waiting underneath.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy around someone I’ve just met, but treats help me warm up quickly. Once I feel comfortable, I enjoy being touched, staying close, and receiving affection. I’m comfortable being gently picked up and absolutely love relaxing in someone’s arms. · With Children: I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so we don’t know exactly how I would interact with younger kids. Gentle and supervised introductions would be best. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs. I happily approach both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play. If another dog becomes too pushy or confrontational, I’m more likely to move away than escalate the situation. · With Cats: I haven’t had enough experience around cats yet for us to know how I would behave living with one. A slow and supervised introduction would be important if my future family has a cat.   MY ENERGY LEVEL I have a moderate energy level and a nice balance between activity and relaxation. I enjoy spending time outside, exploring, playing, and experiencing new things. Once I’ve had enough activity, though, I’m able to settle down and enjoy some quiet time. And if that quiet time happens to involve curling up with my person, even better! Since I’m only seven months old, I’m still growing, so my personality and activity needs may continue to develop as I get older.   MY WALKING SKILLS I’m currently learning how to walk nicely on a leash. I may pull sometimes because the outside world is still full of interesting things to explore, but overall, I follow my person well. I’m still young and learning, so continued positive reinforcement, patience, and practice will help me become an even better walking companion.   MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS For such a young pup, I’m already showing some wonderful qualities. I’m generally very quiet and rarely bark, and I settle calmly when I’m in a kennel. I currently use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas. Since I’m still young, I’ll need my future family to continue reinforcing a consistent potty routine as I adjust to my new home. I also show no food guarding toward people or other dogs. I’m still figuring out what life as a family dog is all about, but I already have a sweet and gentle foundation to build on.   WHAT I’M STILL LEARNING At seven months old, there’s still so much of the world that’s new to me. I’m continuing to work on leash manners, potty routines, household expectations, and building confidence around new people and experiences. When I first encounter something unfamiliar, I may need a little time before showing you my true personality. I do best when I’m allowed to approach at my own pace rather than being rushed. A little patience, positive encouragement, and a tasty treat can go a long way with me. And once I feel safe? You might suddenly find that the shy puppy you met is now following you everywhere.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m still young and adaptable, so I could potentially thrive in many different types of homes. I’d love a family who understands that I can be a little reserved at first and is willing to give me the time I need to build trust. I don’t need to be rushed—I just need the chance to learn that I’m safe with you. Since I’m social with other dogs, I could potentially live with a compatible canine sibling as well. My future family should be ready to continue my training, help me experience new things positively, and give me a healthy balance of activity and rest. Most importantly, I’d love people who enjoy affection as much as I do. Because once you become my person, there’s a good chance your arms will become one of my favourite places in the world.   WHY YOU’LL LOVE ME Maybe the first thing you’ll notice is my soft black coat. Even on that first day, he showed no fear of people and was happy to be near them. Since his rescue, he’s been staying at our partner shelter in Korea. He has become more loving and more confident there, and he enjoys people even more now than when he first arrived.PersonalityLeeha is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves people. When someone walks into his kennel in the morning, he’s so happy to see them. One of his favourite habits is to look at you with a long, gentle gaze, and he also likes to tuck himself under a chair to rest. His favourite things are people, treats, and being petted. He loves being held and cuddled, and he’ll stay still and relaxed for as long as you like. There’s no spot on his body he minds being touched. His energy level is low to moderate, and when he’s on his own, he usually sleeps or rests. New people, places, and things don’t worry him. He walks right up to say hello.CompatibilityLeeha loves both men and women. With people he’s just met, he doesn’t make a fuss. He simply walks over quietly to say hello. When young volunteers visit the shelter, he stays calm around them. If he is adopted by a family with children, parents should always supervise interactions to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. He likes to sit quietly next to his dog friends, and he doesn’t guard his food or toys. Knowing his easygoing nature, though, we think it’s possible with a slow, gradual introduction, plenty of patience, and enough space for each of them to have their own retreat while they get used to one another.Behaviours & TrainingLeeha goes to the bathroom outdoors. He walks well on a leash and harness and doesn’t react much to other dogs, cars, or motorcycles. He travels calmly in the car and is good at the vet. He’s easy to bathe and brush. He doesn’t like having his nails trimmed, but he stays patient and lets it happen. He doesn’t chew things he shouldn’t, and he rarely barks. He comes when his name is called. He shows no signs of separation anxiety.Health & DietLeeha is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He takes monthly parasite preventatives. After his rescue, Leeha was diagnosed with heartworm. He completed his treatment and made a full recovery, and his heartworm test came back negative in September, 2026. He also tested negative for Anaplasma by PCR. He has no known allergies and no history of other surgeries or treatments. His teeth are clean. He has passed the veterinary screening and is healthy and ready for a forever home.He eats kibble twice a day and has not shown any food allergies or sensitivities so far. He eats everything well.Ideal HomeLeeha loves people, so he’d be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time, like a big family or a household where someone works from home or is retired. He’d also be a great match for first time dog owners. He’s easy to live with, and we don’t expect him to have any trouble settling in. He just wants to be close to you.Leeha has so much love to give, and he’s ready to share it with a family of his own. She will be probably 10 to 20 lbs as an adult (mom is 30 lbs). She is a energetic pup that loves doggie blankets, toys, dog beds and playing with litter mates. She will be a great companion for an active family with a securely fenced yard, polite/ calm children (over 12 years old) and another energetic/submissive dog (Evie is pretty bossy). Small mixed breed experience is recommended. She is an indoor dog. She likes walks and car rides. She would enjoy dog training classes. No apartments!
