Story
QUICK FACTS Name: TwixAge: 7 months oldBreed: Dachshund MixGender: Male, NeuteredWeight: 4.5 kg / 9.9 lbsColor: Black Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My story began in Taean, where my mom gave birth to me and my siblings. Sadly, instead of having a safe place to grow up together, we were each tied up separately near a mountainside and left there. We were at risk of being sold off to anyone who would take us, without knowing what kind of future was waiting for us. Thankfully, we were rescued and given a second chance. Now I’m safe, growing, and learning that people can mean comfort, affection, and love. I’m ready for the next part of my story—a forever family who will show me what it truly means to be home.   MY HEALTH Neutered Vaccinations up-to-date No known health concerns   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Twix! I’m a sweet, gentle little boy who might act a little shy when we first meet. But I have a not-so-secret weakness: treats! Give me something yummy and a little time to get to know you, and suddenly that shy puppy may turn into your little shadow. Once I realize you’re a friend, I love staying close and soaking up your affection. And I really mean it when I say I love being close to people. I feel so comfortable in someone’s arms that I may even start falling asleep while being held. That’s one of my happiest places to be. Once I trust you, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly. I also have the sweetest round eyes and a bright, expressive gaze that makes it very hard not to fall for me. My soft, longer black coat gives me an extra special look, too. I might need a moment to warm up—but once I do, there’s a very cuddly little boy waiting underneath.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy around someone I’ve just met, but treats help me warm up quickly. Once I feel comfortable, I enjoy being touched, staying close, and receiving affection. I’m comfortable being gently picked up and absolutely love relaxing in someone’s arms. · With Children: I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so we don’t know exactly how I would interact with younger kids. Gentle and supervised introductions would be best. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs. I happily approach both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play. If another dog becomes too pushy or confrontational, I’m more likely to move away than escalate the situation. · With Cats: I haven’t had enough experience around cats yet for us to know how I would behave living with one. A slow and supervised introduction would be important if my future family has a cat.   MY ENERGY LEVEL I have a moderate energy level and a nice balance between activity and relaxation. I enjoy spending time outside, exploring, playing, and experiencing new things. Once I’ve had enough activity, though, I’m able to settle down and enjoy some quiet time. And if that quiet time happens to involve curling up with my person, even better! Since I’m only seven months old, I’m still growing, so my personality and activity needs may continue to develop as I get older.   MY WALKING SKILLS I’m currently learning how to walk nicely on a leash. I may pull sometimes because the outside world is still full of interesting things to explore, but overall, I follow my person well. I’m still young and learning, so continued positive reinforcement, patience, and practice will help me become an even better walking companion.   MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS For such a young pup, I’m already showing some wonderful qualities. I’m generally very quiet and rarely bark, and I settle calmly when I’m in a kennel. I currently use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas. Since I’m still young, I’ll need my future family to continue reinforcing a consistent potty routine as I adjust to my new home. I also show no food guarding toward people or other dogs. I’m still figuring out what life as a family dog is all about, but I already have a sweet and gentle foundation to build on.   WHAT I’M STILL LEARNING At seven months old, there’s still so much of the world that’s new to me. I’m continuing to work on leash manners, potty routines, household expectations, and building confidence around new people and experiences. When I first encounter something unfamiliar, I may need a little time before showing you my true personality. I do best when I’m allowed to approach at my own pace rather than being rushed. A little patience, positive encouragement, and a tasty treat can go a long way with me. And once I feel safe? You might suddenly find that the shy puppy you met is now following you everywhere.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m still young and adaptable, so I could potentially thrive in many different types of homes. I’d love a family who understands that I can be a little reserved at first and is willing to give me the time I need to build trust. I don’t need to be rushed—I just need the chance to learn that I’m safe with you. Since I’m social with other dogs, I could potentially live with a compatible canine sibling as well. My future family should be ready to continue my training, help me experience new things positively, and give me a healthy balance of activity and rest. Most importantly, I’d love people who enjoy affection as much as I do. Because once you become my person, there’s a good chance your arms will become one of my favourite places in the world.   WHY YOU’LL LOVE ME Maybe the first thing you’ll notice is my soft black coat. Or maybe it’ll be my big, round eyes and the sweet way I look up at you. But the best part of me takes a little longer to discover. I may act shy when we first meet, but underneath that hesitation is an incredibly sweet and affectionate little boy. Give me a treat, some patience, and a chance to trust you, and soon I’ll be following you around and asking to stay close. And when you pick me up and hold me? I might just relax so completely that I start drifting off to sleep in your arms. My beginning may have been uncertain, but I’m learning that life can be gentle. Now I’m looking for the person whose arms can finally feel like home.   TWIX’S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt:  https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com   ##2853464##

I’m a sweet, playful little boy who can be a tiny bit shy when we first meet. But here’s my secret: treats are definitely the way to my heart! Offer me something yummy, give me a little time, and my shy act disappears pretty quickly. Once I decide you’re my friend, I become affectionate and will happily follow you around. When I really trust you, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly. And did I mention that I love toys? Playing is one of my favourite things to do, and my playful side really comes out when there’s a fun toy involved. I also have a pretty unique look. My body has short fur, but the fur around my ears grows longer, giving me an adorable look all my own. Add my short little legs and white “socks,” and I’m pretty hard to resist! I may need a moment to get to know you, but once I do, you’ll discover a loving, playful little shadow who wants to stay close to his people.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little reserved when I first meet someone new, but I warm up quickly—especially with the help of treats! Once I’m comfortable, I enjoy affection, can be gently picked up and held, and may even show you my belly. · With Children: I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so we don’t know exactly how I would interact with younger kids. My personality and activity needs may continue to develop as I grow.   MY WALKING SKILLS I’m currently learning how to walk nicely on a leash. I may pull sometimes because there are so many interesting things to see and smell, but overall, I follow my person well. I’m still young and learning, so continued practice, patience, and positive reinforcement will help me develop even better leash manners. And since treats work so well with me, training can be a pretty fun way for us to bond!   MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS For a young pup, I’m already showing some wonderful qualities. I’m generally very quiet and rarely bark, and I’m able to settle calmly when I’m in a kennel. I currently use both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty areas. Since I’m still young, my future family should expect to continue reinforcing my potty routine while I adjust to my new home. I also show no food guarding toward people or other dogs. And if you want to see my playful side, just bring out a toy! Toys are one of my absolute favourite things and a great way to help me feel comfortable and connect with me.   WHAT I’M STILL LEARNING I’m only seven months old, so I’m still learning about the world and what it means to be part of a family. I’m continuing to work on leash manners, potty routines, household expectations, and building confidence in new situations. Sometimes I may seem shy when something—or someone—is unfamiliar. I don’t need to be rushed. A little patience, some positive encouragement, and maybe a tasty treat are usually all I need before my sweet personality starts coming through. I already have a wonderful foundation, and with a family willing to continue guiding me, I have so much potential.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m still young and adaptable, so I could potentially thrive in many different types of homes. Most importantly, I’m looking for people who will give me the security, patience, and affection I need to understand that this time, I’m finally home.   WHY YOU’LL LOVE ME I might act a little shy when we first meet, but don’t be fooled for long. Give me a treat, a little patience, and maybe my favourite toy, and pretty soon I might be following you around wondering where you’re going next. I’m sweet, playful, gentle, and social with other dogs. I rarely bark, I know how to settle, and once I trust you, I’m happy to show you just how affectionate I can be. And then there’s my look—my short little legs, adorable white socks, and those uniquely fluffy ears give me a charm that’s completely my own. My beginning wasn’t the easiest. I once lived tied up on a mountainside without knowing where I might end up. But that part of my story is over. Now I’m ready for toys, adventures, belly rubs, and a family I can follow around for the rest of my life.   KITKAT’S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt:  https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2853467##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: FudgeAge: 7 months oldBreed: Dachshund MixGender: Male, NeuteredWeight: 6 kg / 13.2 lbsColor: Red Brown Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My story began in Taean, where my mom gave birth to me and my siblings. Sadly, instead of growing up together somewhere safe, we were each tied up separately near a mountainside and left there. We were at risk of being sold off to anyone who would take us, without knowing what kind of future was waiting for us. It’s hard to imagine such a little puppy being left tied up on a mountainside, but thankfully, that isn’t where my story ended. I was rescued and given the chance to experience a completely different life. Now I’m safe, learning to trust, and discovering how wonderful it is to have people who care about me. The next thing I’m hoping to discover is what it feels like to have a family of my very own.   MY HEALTH Neutered Vaccinations up-to-date No known health concerns   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Fudge! When we first meet, I might pretend I’m a little shy. But give me some treats, a little patience, and just a bit of time, and you’ll quickly see a completely different side of me. Once I decide you’re my friend, I become a sweet little shadow who loves following my people around. I enjoy affection, I’m comfortable being gently picked up, and once I really trust you, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly. I also happen to have some seriously adorable Dachshund features. My short little legs and long body give me that classic low-to-the-ground charm, while my beautiful red-brown coat makes me especially striking. I may need a moment to warm up, but it usually doesn’t take long before I’m happily following you around and wondering what we’re doing next!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be slightly reserved when meeting someone for the first time, but treats are a great way to help me feel comfortable. I tend to warm up quickly and become very affectionate once I trust you. I’m comfortable being gently picked up and held, and I may even show you my belly once we’re friends. · With Children: I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so we don’t know exactly how I would interact with younger kids. Gentle and supervised introductions would be best. · With Dogs: I’m generally social and interested in other dogs. I’ll approach both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play. However, if another dog becomes confrontational, I may respond rather than simply walking away. Because of this, initial introductions with unfamiliar dogs should be calm, gradual, and supervised so everyone has enough space to feel comfortable. · With Cats: I haven’t had enough experience around cats yet for us to know how I would behave living with one. Slow and supervised introductions would be important if my future family has a cat.   MY ENERGY LEVEL I have a moderate energy level and enjoy a good balance of activity and downtime. I like being outside, exploring, playing, and experiencing new things. Once I’ve had enough activity, though, I’m able to settle down and relax. I’m still only seven months old, so I naturally have plenty of puppy curiosity, and my activity needs may continue to change as I grow.   MY WALKING SKILLS I’m currently learning how to walk nicely on a leash. Sometimes I pull because there are so many interesting things to investigate outside, but overall, I follow my person well. I’m still young and learning, so continued practice, patience, and positive reinforcement will help me build even better leash manners. Since treats help me warm up and connect with people, they can also be a great tool for making training fun and rewarding. Once I feel comfortable with my surroundings, I’m a sweet little companion who loves knowing where my people are and staying close to them.   WHAT I’M STILL LEARNING At seven months old, there’s still a lot for me to learn and experience. I’m continuing to work on my leash manners, potty routine, household expectations, and confidence in unfamiliar situations. I may initially be cautious around someone new, but I usually just need a little time to understand that I’m safe. Once I do, my hesitation quickly starts disappearing. I’ll also benefit from continued positive socialization with other dogs. I enjoy meeting them, but because I may respond if another dog challenges me, my future family should help me practice calm and respectful introductions. With patient guidance and positive experiences, I have so much potential to continue growing into a confident and wonderful companion.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m still young and adaptable, so I could potentially thrive in many different types of homes. I’d love a family who will give me a little time to warm up instead of expecting me to be completely comfortable right away. Once I trust you, I form connections quickly and love staying close to my people. I could potentially live with a compatible dog, but thoughtful introductions and respectful interactions would be important. My future family should also be ready to continue my training, help me experience the world positively, and give me a healthy balance of exercise, playtime, affection, and rest. More than anything, I’m looking for people who will show me that I never have to wonder where I belong again.   WHY YOU’LL LOVE ME Maybe you’ll notice my gorgeous red-brown coat first. Or maybe it’ll be my tiny legs and long little Dachshund body that make you smile. But give me a little time, and you’ll discover the best part—my personality. I might be slightly shy when we first meet, but that hesitation doesn’t last very long. A few treats and some patience later, you may suddenly realize that I’ve started following you everywhere. I’m sweet, curious, affectionate, and happiest once I know I’m safe with my people. It’s difficult to imagine that such a little pup once spent his days tied up alone on a mountainside. Thankfully, those days are behind me. Now I’m ready to spend the rest of my life following someone who will always lead me home.   FUDGE’S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt:  https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com   ##2853450##
