Story
Nike is an 8 year old daschund mix. She is very affectionate and eager to please. She loves to be around people, including children and strangers. She loves walks, watching TV, snuggling, and sunbathing. We adopted her when she was six months old and she has lived with other dogs her whole life. She is not a fan of bigger dogs, but she gets along great with smaller breeds. She has lived with cats for a few years but keeps her distance. She would greatly benefit from a home with backyard access and/or daily walks. She would be a lovely addition to any family, including those with children of all ages. We are sad to rehome her but our work schedules require us to be away from home for too long and we do not have the time to give her the attention she deserves. She can be quite anxious, especially with loud noises (thunder, fireworks etc.) but she has never exhibited any aggressive behaviors. When she is scared or anxious she will hide under the bed and you may not see her for a while.

Story
Easter Bunny is deaf, though very loyal. He is also brave and smart. He relies on visual cues and hand gestures from his human to navigate the world around him. He is working on his separation anxiety due to his deafness. On the bright side, he is very calm on walks and is not scared of the loud stuff like traffic noise or fireworks. Easter Bunny does have a deformed limb, though it doesn’t prevent him from hopping around or getting on the couch. Easter Bunny would thrive in a home where his humans can be his hearing to provide him confidence. He needs consistency with the visual cue training.

Story
Phynn is a 12.4 pound, 2 year old love bug with a silky red coat and the cutest long curled tail you’ve ever seen. He’s the definition of a gentle companion, a little shy at first but once he warms up, he just wants to be close to his person. Phynn would thrive in a low key home, ideally with someone who is home more often, as he truly enjoys that companionship, though he can be left alone for short periods. He gets along well with small, calm dogs his size, but larger dogs can be stressful for him. Because of his sensitive nature, a home with older children or a quieter environment would be the best fit. Phynn isn’t much into toys or rough play. He prefers lounging around, roaming the backyard with his foster buddies, and having the occasional “chat” with the neighbor dogs. This sweet boy is a total cuddle bug. He loves being held like a baby, snuggling on the couch, and even sleeping under the covers with you at night. He’s quiet, laid back, and happiest just being near his person. At mealtime, he’s all in and eats great, and he’s fully house trained and even uses the doggy door. You can apply directly for Phynn by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-808 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
