Since going to foster, she's steadily feeling better, and showing glimpses of the confident, loving dog she can be. Nascar has been living with another dog and would thrive in a home with a confident dog sibling to show her that life isn't so scary, but any calm and understanding household will do just fine. She's making great progress with new people, and has shown she enjoys playing with a few favorite toys, including squeaky toys and bully sticks. Despite being shy, Nascar has shown she's capable of learning with patience, gentle guidance, and consistent love. She does well when left alone for several hours, and has started making her way out of her shell with encouragement. Nascar's journey so far has not been easy for her, but her spirit is strong, and the rewards of helping her grow and trust again are immeasurable.
