Story
**Charlie and Cody: Bonded Dachshund-Corgi Mix Brothers**   Charlie and Cody are gentle, reserved brothers, approx. 15 months old, both neutered. They were left at the shelter with their three sisters, and after being separated from them, the boys formed a strong bond. Now, they are affectionate and starting to enjoy life in the Pacific Northwest. They are gradually building trust with their foster family and getting used to their new home. Both are safe, well-fed, and comfortable. They are up to date on vaccinations and have no known health issues, so they are ready for adoption. Their foster home does not have a fenced yard, and because Cody and Charlie are still settling in, they have not yet started using harnesses or going for walks on a leash.  We hope the boys can be adopted together into a home with a fenced yard, so they have a safe place for potty breaks and can learn to walk on a harness and leash. Cody and Charlie might be shy at first, but they are curious and want to connect with people. They are motivated by food and will gladly take treats from your hand. They like being spoken to and respond well to a gentle voice. With time, patience, and love, they will become devoted companions. We prefer adopters who have experience with shy or untrained dogs, or who are open to guidance, to help the boys adjust smoothly to their new home. We do not know if they have been around children, so we recommend a home without kids or with children over 12. The Corgi-Dachshund mix, also known as a “Dorgi,” was first bred by Queen Elizabeth of the UK. Because they have a prey drive, they should not live with small animals or cats . **Adopting Cody and  Charlie **  To  adopt Cody and Charlie, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application, follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and see if you are a good match for these pups. If you are a match, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to fill out the application, as tablets and cell phones may cause issues. The boys now eat a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on healthy, dog-specific food. We will teach their adopters about proper diet and nutrition. The adoption fee for adopting the boys together is $595 and includes neuter, all vaccines, and a microchip. www.smallpupsrescue.org  June 10, 2026, 4:30 pm

Story
**Libby** Libby is a 17-pound, 1-year-old female Dachshund-Corgi mix. She was found with her sister, Lexxi, running with stray dogs that had been dumped in Fresno, California.  Libby is closely bonded to her sister, and we would love to find a forever home for them together. The ideal adopter(s) should be experienced with dogs and familiar with rescue situations, as both dogs are fearful of men. A supportive and caring environment is essential, especially if there is a male in the household. The male will need to be actively involved in feeding and caring for them to earn their trust, as they tend to trust women first. from their foster:  Libby (the tan one) is the outgoing sister—loyal, people-loving, and always ready to be your shadow. If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, she’s a certified snuggle pro. She also walks nicely on a leash. These two adore each other, bring zero drama, and are impressively quiet—they’d make absolutely terrible guard dogs, but perfect companions. The girls are up to date on vaccines and need to be spayed. Rompin Paws can work with adopters to arrange a spay at our vet, or adopters can take them to their vet. The current adoption fee does not include spaying costs. This may be updated if they are spayed prior to adoption. These girls are young and can be trained to be lovely family members.  Their foster has begun working with them, providing harness and lead training, but they will require more work. We do recommend a child-free home because of their anxiety and trauma from being dumped. They need a calm, adult-only home. If you have the time, love, experience, and willingness to help these two sweet girls work through their trauma so they can become loving and loved family members, we would love to chat with you. We are open to a foster-to-adopt period, allowing ample time for potential adopters to work with Libby and get to know her. **Adopting Libby** To adopt Libby, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Tucker has transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition.   The adoption fee for Libby is $595 and includes spay, vaccines, rabies, and microchip   www.rompinpawsrescue.com                June 10, 2026, 4:30 pm

**Lexxi** Is a 16-pound, 1-year-old female Dacshund-Corgi mix found with hr sister, running with stray dogs dumped in an area of Fresno, California.  Lexxi is bonded to her sister, Libby, and we would love to see them adopted together. The adopter(s) will need to be very dog- and rescue-savvy, as both dogs are fearful of men. If there is a male in the home, he will need to be an equal partner in feeding and care in order to win their trust, as they will trust a woman first. From their foster:  Lexxi (black/tricolor ) is the quieter of the two and definitely appreciates her couch time. Now that she’s out of the noisy shelter environment, she’s really starting to blossom. With a gentle, steady home, she’ll continue to build her confidence. These two adore each other, bring zero drama, and are impressively quiet—they’d make absolutely terrible guard dogs, but perfect companions. Story
**Meet Luna the Adorable Dachshund-Terrier**   Luna is a sweet and loving Terrier mix brought to Rompin Paws Rescue with her two sisters. Luna’s on a heartfelt quest to find her forever home. Initially, Luna may be a bit shy when meeting new people. Still, once she feels safe and loved, she blossoms into a delightful cuddle companion, eagerly seeking your affection and a cozy lap to snuggle on.   Luna is 2.5 years old and is gorgeous! What makes Luna truly special is her unique beauty—a shiny, slightly wavy black coat highlighted with silver streaks and a charming white chest. Luna loves to be groomed, held, loved, and play with dog buddies in the yard   Luna thrives in the company of other dogs, so she would be happiest in a home with at least one dog-friendly friend to play with. Imagine the joy of watching her grow and flourish in a loving environment, especially with a mentor dog to guide her. Your commitment to nurturing these relationships will be instrumental in Luna's journey to confidence and happiness. With her active lifestyle, Luna requires a fenced yard to run and play freely. She is an energetic bundle of fun, always ready to romp and frolic with her fellow furry pals in the spacious play yard at the rescue. A true social butterfly, she loves to soak up attention from everyone she meets, and her enthusiasm for running makes her an exceptional walking companion. Luna has the potential to excel in agility training and other fun activities! Bringing Luna into your home means welcoming a vibrant spirit who is playful, sweet, and affectionate. With consistent training, she will likely acquire a range of skills quickly. However, she’s still mastering the harness and lead; her determination to learn mirrors her sisters', making training an exciting adventure. Luna is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to learn from her new adopters.   Are you ready to open your heart and home to Luna? The adoption fee is $395.00, with all funds directly supporting her care and allowing us to rescue even more needy dogs. To begin the adoption process for this incredible pup, please complete our online application using the link below. Story
**Boo is not currently in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes. Her current family is lovingly searching for the right forever home for her due to a job change and lifestyle shift — through absolutely no fault of Boo. If you think Boo could be the perfect addition to your family, please fill out an application here: https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform ** Meet Boo 🐾💖 Boo is a 9-year-old wirehaired Dachshund/Chihuahua mix with a huge personality packed into one adorable little body. She’s sweet, silly, SMART, food-motivated, and absolutely convinced she should be the center of your universe — and honestly, she deserves it. 👑🐶 This lovable goofball still has plenty of pep in her step! Despite having a heart murmur and taking Vetmedin twice daily, Boo loves long walks, mild hikes, squeaky toys, tug-of-war, and zooming around the house like a puppy. After playtime, she transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to curl up next to you (preferably under the blankets at your feet). 🧸✨ Boo is looking for a calm, patient, dog-savvy home. She can be anxious around new people and loud environments, and she’ll bark when strangers come by because she takes her “tiny security guard” duties very seriously. 🚨😂 Once she trusts you, though, she is deeply loyal and affectionate. She would do best in a quieter home without young children, as yelling or roughhousing can make her nervous. She gets along with other dogs but would really thrive as an only pet where she can soak up all the attention. Cats are not her favorite, and squirrels, birds, and cows absolutely must be barked at. 🐿️🐦🐄 Boo comes with full medical records, is on Simparica for flea prevention, and is ready to find the person who will love her exactly as she is — quirky, cuddly, vocal, and full of heart. ❤️

Story
From the very first moment I met Sissy Girl, the first thing that came to my mind was how friendly she is! She is the definition of a social butterfly and can easily be deemed your personal cheerleader who will always have you smiling and will always brighten your day. She is incredibly dog friendly, smart, petite, and will check off all your boxes! Watch her video and fall in love with her personality: https://youtu.be/O3y2OtrdK_Y?si=VZfIs2rw2oGeH7ab Sissy Girl is believed to be a Dachshund mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 39 lbs. With rescue dogs, it’s always a bit of a mystery and we can’t guarantee breed, but we’d confidently say she got the best of everything. The ears, the legs, the tail, and the happy personality to match. She’s the definition of fun-sized. So don’t let her pictures fool you. She’s a short gal and the perfect in-between size. Not too big, not too small… just right! It's a given this bundle of joy is absolutely adorable and such a happy gal, but she is so much more than that. She loves every person she meets, she knows no stranger! Connections with her are instantaneous. When people first meet her, they instantly comment on how adorable and friendly she is! The most common phrase used by everyone who meets her is something along the lines of how sweet and friendly she is. Sissy is such a go-with-the-flow type of girly who is happy regardless of where she is or who she is with. It's almost impossible not to immediately fall for her friendly and goofy personality. Sissy is very dog friendly and loves to make friends with other dogs. She has been around dogs with all different temperaments, from large dominant males to submissive quiet ladies and playful party pups. Sissy loves making new friends and has the best time romping around, playing chase, sharing toys, and also relaxing with her pals. Sissy would do great in a home with another dog that enjoys the company of other dogs, likes to engage in lighthearted games of chase, and wants a pal to explore with. Sissy even did great with a dog smaller than her and it was like prince charming had walked into the room. Watching her try to get him to love her was the cutest thing. You’ll see exactly what we are talking about in her video if you haven’t watched it already. It’s the best! Sissy also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home before with a cat, and this was our first time seeing her with one. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for her to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! When it comes to training, Sissy loves treats and will do anything for a tasty snack! She already knows how to sit and does it on command, walks well on a leash, and is crate and potty trained too. She will be a great dog to take with you on walks at the park, or even potential trips to the beach. Her ideal home would have a backyard where she can zoom around, play with her toys, and sunbathe during those nice summer days. She also has the potential to thrive in an apartment or condo. She loves people and is a social butterfly, so if you're someone who likes to host or have friends over for backyard BBQs, Sissy will be right there in the midst of all the entertainment. I'm sure she will be one of the main talking points in all your conversations as well. Sissy has such a well-balanced personality. She’s happy, silly, adventurous, and cuddly all at once. She loves toys (especially stuffy toys), and is great at entertaining herself when needed. She would be a wonderful fit for a semi-active family, but she’s also calm enough to be a great companion for someone who works from home. She’s just as happy going on a mini adventure as she is relaxing by your side afterward. Sissy would also make a wonderful companion for a family with kids! She has been around kids and absolutely adores them. So get ready to hear those big belly laugh from your children because Sissy will have them laughing none stop. We are willing to test Sissy Girl with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
