Queso! This 2 year old is looking for his forever home. Queso considers himself the man of the house. With little information of this poor guys back ground, its hard to say what's caused his distrust of men. As a result, we know there is one lucky lady out there who is going to soak up all of Queso's affection. This sweet, loving, snuggly guy is ready to fall in love. *Housetrained *Cratetrained Queso is would love a home where his spontaneous energy is enjoyed. An active little guy, he sure enjoys his exercise! Interested in this 2 foot tall 25lb handsome man? 😍 Stop in and meet Queso! Open Hours Tuesdays and Thursdays Noon to 7pm Saturdays Noon to 4pm

Story
About Me: Name: David Breed (or best guess): Dachshund type mix Approximate Age: 2 yr Gender: Male Approximate Weight:  20 lb Adoption Fee: $450 Requirements: very patient adopter, fenced yard, no young children Why In Rescue:  Texas transfer Profile:  David came to us from Texas with a couple of friends.  His friends have been adopted, and we are working on trying to get David more comfortable with people to make him easier to adopt.  He is very careful with who he loves and trusts, and he bonds hard with those he loves.  But if you aren't in his circle of friends, he is very suspicious of you.  It is going to take time for him to bond with someone new, but our goal is to find him a home, not to have him live in the shelter forever.  If you are willing to love and care for a dog who probably isn't going to love you at first sight, then David may just be the guy for you.  He seems to like female dogs, male dogs not so much.  A fenced yard is for his safety as walking on a leash with a new person will be too much for him right away, although he will go for walks with the people he trusts.  Are you the one that is going to give David a chance?  Please fill out the preadoption application and we can set up a time for you to meet him. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $200 - $550 depending on the age of the dog, which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS February 25, 2024, 9:37 pm

Story
Meet Dougie, the dream dachshund! Despite spending the first 8 years of his life as a breeding dog, Dougie is remarkably sweet, confident, and absolutely loves people, dogs, and cats! His favorite place to be is snuggled on your lap and he adores having attention and being pet. He seems to gain confidence from having another dog around and he follows our senior chihuahua everywhere she goes. He has been great on a leash for walks and has no problem getting up and down stairs (he even hops up on the couch!). He is getting the hang of potty training and goes to the bathroom outside in the yard.If you are looking for a senior sweetheart with tons of love to give, Dougie is your guy! You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!!Adoption fee: Check back soon! All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. Applications and Adoption Rules can be found on our website, on the "HOW TO ADOPT" tab at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including: contact with your veterinarian and completion of a home visit. Please be sure to include the contact information for your vet as we will call. If your vet requires an information release, please be sure to contact them as soon as you submit your application. We are a group of volunteers with families and jobs, so please be patient and allow a few days for our response.JR's Pups-N-Stuff Dog Sellers License 512395-DS
