You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on March 28th and arrive on March 29th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!!   Updated: 3/16/2025 Dog Name: Waffles Sex: Male Estimated Breed Mix: Dachshund/Terrier mix Approximate Age: 5 months Approximate Weight: 9 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Neutered Description: This little boy is CUTE. He is photogenic, loves to play and is a puppy with a wonderful personality. He is dog and kid friendly, and didn’t mess with the resident cat when found! Waffles is working on potty training and is 100% a good boy! Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. March 16, 2025, 11:43 pm

Story
2 months old Neutered male No known experience with cats, dogs aside from littermates, or children Stearns is an adorable little guy who’s playful, sweet, and always ready for attention. Like any puppy, he’s full of curiosity and energy, with plenty of growing and learning ahead of him. He’s looking for a loving family to guide him with patience and kindness as he blossoms into the perfect companion. Stearns is currently staying in a foster home. Please call the shelter at 920-674-2048 if you would like to meet him! The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.March 16, 2025, 7:13 pm

Story
We've had Lance since he was a baby. He is a big cuddler and likes to chase after toys indoors. He is a good walker, but doesn't like to go very far. Given the breed's potential for back problems we have used ramps in our house and have been careful about picking him up and down. We have a newborn and Lance unfortunately has had some minor bites in the past. We attempted training and medication and he had a long stretch without bites or aggressive behavior but unfortunately still can be aggressive around food. We are very sad we are unable to keep him in our home. Lance also does not get along well with most other dogs. He would be best in a home without kids or other dogs. He is an excellent work from home companion and is pretty lazy by nature.
