Story
Daisy and Donut are 2 yrs old. The perfect age as they are all grown out of the puppy stages. They are both housebroken and just the sweetest lovable dogs. They are current on all vaccinations and preventatives and have been spayed and neutered. Daisy is a little more high energy but not excessive. She is wonderful especially if she has a chewy bone or toy. Not destructive, she just likes something to chew on. Donut is lower energy but still loves to chase a ball and play with his sibling. They both know sit and will shake when asked as well. Leash and kennel trained and will sleep in their kennel 8-9 hours with no problems. They are great dogs and their family does not want to give them up but they have had a coupled unexpected deaths in the family and unforeseen circumstances that make it unfair for these two as far as time and space. Their current family would love for them to go together and the adoption fees can be adjusted accordingly if we can find a spot together for them both. We will consider single applications if we can’t find a home together. Once adopted Daisy and Donut will will travel via private transport (transport cost is $165.00) to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this family of two part of your life and home please follow the link below to our application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on November 1st and arrive on November 2nd, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!!   Updated: 9/29/24 Dog Name: Rusty Sex: Male Breed: Dachshund/Chihuahua Mix Approximate Age: 2 years old Approximate Weight: 16 lbs Adoption Fee: $450 Description: Rusty was surrendered to a small rural kill shelter after being found as a stray. He is SO lovable and he is just wants to be with his people. He will be just a sweet little companion for anyone! He is great with everyone and has been around older kids. He just loves to cuddle and follow you around the house! We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are 6 months to 1 year or age. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.  at one of our preferred clinics. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. October 1, 2024, 7:13 pm

Story
Libby is a dachshund mix guessed to be about 2 years old and 25 lbs. She is a super sweet girl who lovers her humans and wants nothing more than to be near them. She plays great with the resident dogs but it can take her a minute to warm up to new people and dogs, once she does she will be your furever friend! NO apartments for Libby, she likes to bark when first left alone or when put in her crate. Small children under the age of 10 are not recommended, she seems to be afraid of them and their fast movements and will give a little growl. Cats are unknown. She is up to date on vaccinations and will need to be spayed.

Story
About Me: Name: Mork Breed (or best guess): Dachshund Approximate Age: 5 yr Gender: Male Approximate Weight: around 15 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: fenced yard, another small dog Why In Rescue: puppy mill survivor Profile:  Mork is an adorable Dachshund that came from a commercial (puppy mill) breeder.  He wants petting WHEN you are petting another dog, otherwise he is very shy/fearful of being reached towards.  He is able to be handled once you pick him up, and especially when around other dogs.  He hasn't learned to walk on a leash yet, so needs a securely fenced yard or potty area.  Another small dog in the home is needed to make him feel more comfortable and confident.  If interested in this handsome boy please fill out the pre-adoption application. Dogs from commercial breeders are generally undersocialized (often very scared/shy/skittish) and probably never lived in a house.  They will need to learn things like how to walk on a leash, go up stairs, and what things like a television are.  They need a patient adopter who will give them the time they need to adjust and to learn to trust people.  Every baby step forward needs to be celebrated, and the dog needs to be accepted for who they are at each step.  Some dogs can adjust quickly and learn how to be a loved pet pretty easily.  Others can take a long time to even be comfortable with things like walking through the house and being in the same room as a person.  No matter how far and how fast the breeder dogs progress, they are wonderful dogs and deserve a great home after their life on the puppy farm.  A fence or at least a secure fenced in potty area is highly recommended for the dog's safety, and may be required for some dogs.  Another small dog in the house can also help many former breeders adjust faster to life in a home, and also may be required in some cases.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS September 25, 2024, 10:54 pm

Meet Cricket! Age: senior (but I still have plenty of pep in my step) Weight: 12 pounds Good with: all humans (I live with two small kids in my foster home), dogs (there's some small dogs here too!), cats unknown House trained: yes-but I wear a diaper because sometimes I try to mark like a boy. Hopefully that will change a little after I'm fixed! Crate trained: yes Nice to meet you, I’m Cricket! I’d love to be your new best friend! I love meeting new humans! I made myself right at home in my new foster home and love to follow the humans from room to room - what are you doing? Can I help?? I also enjoy snoozing on the couch and sniffing in the backyard. And guess what - I love tennis balls! I’m not the best retriever, but I do love chasing after them. I don’t bark much, except when I want to come inside from the yard or when the doorbell rings. I recently had some mammary tumors removed, and got Spayed, so now I'm ready to find my forever home! Could you be my forever family? *Cricket is being fostered in Madison, WI. Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Story
Hello everybody! We would like to take a few minutes to introduce you to a very special pup named Molly. 💗 There are several meanings for the name Molly, but the two that ring true for this little gal are “beloved” and “wished-for.” 🙏 She is about 13 weeks old, a little gal and resembles a Dachshund. She is currently being fostered in Waterford, WI. Still being a young pup, she needs some work on her potty training 🚽 …though she is doing quite well on puppy pads at the moment. For some reason it’s hard to concentrate on pottying outside in the rain, 🌧 especially when there is so much playing to be done! She is doing good on her crate training – she cries a bit at night, but not too many cries or barks during the day when she has to go in. She naps 💤 in her crate really well. She’s still getting the hang of leash training. She loves treats, so training her with them should go well.Molly is kid friendly, dog 🐩🐕 friendly and cat 🐈 friendly. Overall, she’s Miss Congeniality! 👑😁 She’s a snuggler and loves to be tucked into a blanket for a cozy snuggle session. 😍 She is so sweet and loving. She loves absolutely everyone and everything. Her big ears are the softest and so soothing to pet. This tiny girl will steal your heart. ❤ She’s so happy to greet her foster mom in the morning that she lets out cries of relief and joy and can’t get into her lap fast enough. The only time you’ll probably catch her tail not wagging with joy is when she’s sleeping. If it’s easy to see that this is the companion you’ve been wishing for …in mere minutes she’ll become your beloved. 💘 Molly is up to date on all of her age appropriate shots 💉and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 plus a $150 deposit toward her spay. The $150 deposit may be refunded once proof of her timely spay is given to Biggie Paws. Please apply for her today! www.biggiepawsrescue.orgDATCP # 494550
