Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on FEBRUARY 13th and arrive on FEBRUARY 14th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 1/13/2025 Dog Name: Freckles Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Mini Dachshund Mix Approximate Age: 1-2 years Approximate Weight: 9-14 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Neutered Description: Little handsome man Freckles was found hiding under a car, he was nervous and lost - cold and tired. The kind people who found him looked for his owners with no luck. To avoid a high kill shelter he went into a loving foster home. He is sweet and gentle when carried and plays hard like a puppy! He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and kids! He is crate trained and seems to be housebroken! We think he is a young adult - he has beautiful markings and the most precious short little legs! This guy will melt your heart and make your home complete!    Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. January 21, 2026, 11:34 pm

She was scared when first coming into rescue but with kind words and time she was able to relax and get comfortable with her new surroundings. She does love to play with the other younger dogs we have here because she is a young dog herself. We try not to crate her too much because she has done fine out with several of the other dogs in our care or with our dogs. Understand she will be scared and shy at first but just go slow with her and she will come around. Our must haves for her are: • A fenced in yard • Another young small dog for her to play with and pal with • Someone that can be home more than not or works from home • Someone active enough to take her for walks and car rides • No apartments, high rises or condos in case she barks at noises If you can fill these must haves and want to add a beautiful little girl to your home then Cara is the one for you. Please go to our website and fill out our online adoption application. ============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ============== AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten. If you have questions about this dog, please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed on the bio form. They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal. There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered. We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures. To understand the adoption process through AADR, please review the Adoption Information on our home page. Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3. Click this link to apply: https://www.allamericandachshundrescue.org/apply, it will take you to the application form. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers who will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or Midwest. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. Please look for dogs on your coast.

Story
This oh so handsome boy is Wally; he is a 5-year-old Dachshund. He came into rescue when his owner became sick and was no longer able to care for him sadly. He is a fun boy who loves to have fun or in typical Doxie ways find a nice warm spot (usually under blankets) and take a nice nap. He is house trained mostly and is crate trained. Does well with other dogs with a proper intro of course as well. We are seeking someone who knows the breed, someone who knows it takes time for a Doxie to settle in. You see he can be a bit spicy at first, he has to know he is safe is all he is not necessarily a cuddler in true Doxie fashion it is on his terms, lol. He has met some cats in his foster home and seemed to be a bit scared of them so maybe a dog savvy kitty would be ok for him in a home. Completely vetted now and ready to find his new people in life. If interested an online application can be found at SandiPaws.org ask for WallyThank you for choosing SandiPaws Rescue. Please visit our site at sandipaws.org to fill out an application to adopt. You can find information for volunteering and donations on our site as well.
