Story
We hope you've been packing that college fund, because this super smart girl is bound for an Ivy League school. Weighing in at a chonkolicious 60 pounds, most of which are her brains, Bonita will wow you with her comprehension and communication skills. If you want her to come, sit, or roll over, all you have to do is ask. And she's so friendly and polite, always happy to shake hands with a new friend. Come meet Bonita! Here's some notes from her foster: Bonita is an absolute delight. She is very sweet and very bright. Like, very bright. She showed up already knowing several commands, including sit, stay, paw, down, and roll over, and she can identify them all by both spoken word and hand sign. She picked up twirl and bed in about fifteen minutes each. She is incredibly intuitive and teachable, which is a guardian's dream. She's also a goof around the house. She loves to gallop up and down the hallway for a game of fetch, hold a toy up in the air as she wriggles around on her back, and receive as many belly and face rubs as a person can give. Bonita's energy level is right in the goldilocks zone. She is able-bodied and will gladly go on as long of a walk as you'd like, but at home she never acts out as a means of releasing pent up energy. In fact, she will gladly spend plenty of time snoozing, and she is so good at snoring that she'll do it with her eyes open, staring right at you. She is also fully potty trained and shows no signs of separation anxiety. Really, Bonita is one of those dogs who can do it all. She's as happy napping through a TV marathon or playing with a toy as she is exploring the neighborhood or taking a ride in the car. She's smart and loving and an all-around joy of a pet.

Story
Sheila, at approximately 40 lbs and 2 years old, is a beautiful, clever girl that is fine with children and is ready to be your partner for all things fun and athletic. She is a Kelpie mix which equates to an intelligent dog (you can see this in her face!) with a high prey drive who will need lots of exercise and mental stimulation. Don't have a ranch with sheep? No problem, as Sheila would love to become your running partner or participate in dog sports and training classes. Want to hike 20 miles next weekend? Sheila is your girl! As with many herding breeds, Sheila may need a slow introduction with other dogs and is active, loyal, and enjoys a busy lifestyle. This girl is up for adventure and will be a very loyal companion. She's also great with older kids and very affectionate. She is available for foster or adoption, please come meet this wonderful girl.

Story
Butterscotch definitely lives up to her name because she is sweet as can be! While shy at first meeting, she warms up and loves to come sit in her person's lap and absolutely adores belly rubs. She can be friendly with other dogs but is not a social butterfly. She is truly a people person and might prefer living as an only dog! Sweet Butterscotch already is potty trained, sleeps through the whole night, rarely barks and has shown no separation anxiety. She can however become overstimulated in an urban environment and would do best in a quiet (but active) home. Once Butterscotch warms up, she is super playful. She does have herding tendencies in her play, which means she can be mouthy. Butterscotch would do best in a home in a quieter environment, and ideally in a place where she can have room to play and get lots of exercise. She is the perfect travel sized dog coming in at around 20 pounds. This poor girl has had a bit of a ruff start to life so she first comes across a little timid and skittish, but once she comes out of her shell she is a complete sweetheart!

Story
Patch is a handsome 3 year old, 60 lb Dalmatian mix that embodies all the positive traits of his breed - Intelligent, Friendly, Energetic, Loyal, Playful, and Sensitive. The AKC rates them highly for being affectionate with family, trainability, and openness toward other dogs. This dog would do well in a home with gentle, older kids. Patch is an athletic boy and requires regular exercise, so he'll need a family dedicated to his fitness and wellbeing. So, if you are ready to open your home to a pup that loves people, and is always ready to hike the hills or run on the beach, then Patch is a perfect fit! Patch has been in a loving foster home and they adore him. They report he is very curious but not mischievous. He is affectionate and spends most of his time in the home asking for pets and scratches by putting his head on his people or lying on his bed with a toy. This boy is crate trained and walks well on leash with his harness and is working on his manners.

Story
Say hello to Luna! She is a 65 lb, one year old shepherd mix who is whip smart and eager to please. Like many herding types, Luna can be mouthy, and being a bigger girl, she would do best in a home without any young children. Luna will need an adopter who understands higher drive dogs and is prepared to put in work on training. Luna is an energetic dog and will need at least 1-2 hours of exercise every day.

Story
Meet me at the mobile adoption event on Saturday, July 27th at Woodlands Pet Food & Treats Novato from 12-3pm (unless adopted before 3pm). An onsite sign-in sheet will open one hour before the event. This pup really couldn't be more handsome and dignified looking. Despite his sage, wise looking face, Berry is still very much a puppy! His foster has reported that he is close to being house trained, so he is definitely as smart as he looks. He is sizing up to be a pretty big adult dog. Berry may start out a little reserved and shy and would love a family home where he can get super comfortable and confident enough to open up his full personality. He's generally been a mellow pup while in foster so far. He would prefer a home that could keep him more active and with lots of quality walking and hikes. Training and continued socializing is a must for this big baby! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 28 Age: 0yrs 4mths 0wks
