Luna was born on October 2024 she is Libra puppy. Luna is full of energy and sweetness. Loves human attention, likes to explore new places, eat, run and go for walk. Looks for other pups that can keep up with her energy to play. Luna behaves at grooming places such as Petco. Luna hardly barks at people, children or other dogs -even if those are barking directly at her, she just observes and smells. Luna’s diet is mainly Lamb kibble from the Kind brand that you can find at Target. She can have fruits (small size pieces of apple -pealed, banana, berries, strawberries, oranges, and pineapple as treats. Luna is 90% an outdoor dog but loves to sleep indoors as well. Luna has been living with two older dogs and one cat. Although, she gets excited to see squirrels, birds and stray cats. Luna also loves stopping at Starbucks for her pup cup. Human food has been avoided but pretty sure she would eat it -no seasonings, however it’s not recommended as she might get an upset stomach.

Story
Meet Foxie! She was actually rescues by two staff members in pt. Richmond with her baby and the dad. They all went to CCAS and foxie was the last one who needed a home, so Milo pulled her! So far she is sweet once she warms up and she is still learning the basics of the world. She would do well with owners who have experience with dogs and ideally adults only as she can be a bit nervous with too much going on. She walks well on leash.

Story
Wilma is a sweet, smart, attentive pup who's ready for her forever home! She's eager to learn and picks up on new things quickly, she makes great eye contact and listens to her people. She's already house trained and is picking up on crate training quickly with her foster's guidance. She's respectful and gentle and waits to be invited onto the couch for snuggles. It takes her a little time to settle into a new environment, but after just a couple of days in her loving foster home, she's been rolling over for belly rubs and scritches. Wilma loves water and all forms of activities! She will make a great trail companion and her recall and obedience will be great with some more consistency. She would love a home with a confident dog who can be a role model and show her the ropes of family life. If you are a person or a family with plenty of time to engage and have stimulating activities and enrichment to enjoy with an athletic, clever sidekick, Wilma is sure to please and be a fun addition!!

Story
Meet Elliot, an adventurous and playful pup looking for an active home where he can learn, play, and grow! Personality and TemperamentElliot is bold, curious, and full of personality. He’s always alert to what’s happening around him—especially if there’s a squirrel or bird nearby. He enjoys being near his people and is learning to relax more during downtime. Elliot loves praise, is very food-motivated, and responds well to consistent training. Elliot is crate-trained and settles well when left alone Exercise and Activity RequirementsElliot is an energetic, athletic dog who thrives on daily activity. He enjoys a 2-mile walk each morning, plenty of yard play, and short bursts of high-energy fun like wrestling and chasing the flirt pole. He also loves using his nose for scent games and tracking. Elliot does best with both physical and mental enrichment and would make a great companion for an active person or family who enjoys outdoor adventures. Other Dogs and AnimalsElliot has been making good progress with his social skills around other dogs. He’s generally neutral after the initial excitement and settles quickly once given space. In tighter situations, he may give a small warning to communicate his boundaries. Elliot could live with a well-matched, respectful dog, but due to his high prey drive, a home without small animals would be best. Training Elliot has been working on his basic cues like sit and down and even picked up a few tricks such as spin. He recently tried bikejoring and did great—showing how much he enjoys having a job and staying active. The Ideal Home for ElliotElliot would do best with an active adopter who enjoys keeping their dog physically and mentally engaged. He’d be a great fit for someone experienced with energetic breeds and committed to positive training. He’ll benefit from an adopter who can help him continue building confidence around other dogs. A home without small animals is best. Story
Meet GeraldGerald is a 9-year-old, 65-pound German Shorthaired Pointer with a goofy streak and a big love for people. He’s the kind of dog who makes you smile—especially when he’s trotting around with a stuffed animal or eagerly dropping a ball at your feet for one more throw. Gerald has settled into his foster home well. The first few days were a bit overwhelming for him and he was understandably cautious, but he’s quickly found his footing and is showing his easygoing, affectionate personality. He loves attention, especially chin rubs, and is happiest when he’s included in whatever you’re doing. Despite being a senior, Gerald still enjoys staying active. He gets a daily walk and loves playing chase and fetch—seriously, fetch is a favorite. He brings the ball back, lets you take it, and is ready to go again until your arm gives out. He could benefit from a bit more structured exercise, which will help keep both his body and mind happy. In the house, Gerald is doing well with his manners. He’s house-training nicely and he lets his people know when he needs to go outside. He stays inside the home when left alone and is currently comfortable being on his own for up to four hours. He’s still adjusting to spending time alone, and continues to improve. Gerald knows how to sit and is learning “stay.” On leash, he’s a tall, strong boy and is working on reducing pulling—he’s already making progress. One thing to know about Gerald is that he is very food motivated and can be a bit obsessed with food. In his foster home, he has shown some treat guarding around the resident female dog, which may be related to past hunger or uncertainty. Because of this, he would do best as a solo dog or with a well-matched canine companion and an experienced owner who can manage feeding and treat time thoughtfully. Gerald loves people of all ages and has done well with children ranging from 9 and 11 years old to teenagers. He’s friendly meeting other dogs and likes to say hello. He is not a fit for a home with cats. Gerald would thrive in a home that appreciates a slightly goofy, affectionate GSP who still enjoys playtime but also knows how to relax and enjoy the comforts of home and humans. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves fetch, people, and being part of the family, Gerald may be your guy. Our adoption process begins with our adoption questionnaire: https://norcalgsprescue.org/adoption-questionnaire/ (Please note that we adopt primarily within Northern California and our minimum age for kids is 6) If you'd like to see what Gerald's been up to, check out his posting in the Available Foster Dogs section: https://norcalgsprescue.org/available-dogs/. That's where you'll find all the latest info about all of our available dogs.
