MEET DILLON... Dillon is what happens when you put a big puppy personality into a grown-up dog’s body! This handsome Dalmatian/Labrador mix is full of enthusiasm, affection, and an irresistible desire to say hello to absolutely everyone. Dillon was found as a stray in Delano, and sadly, no one came to claim him. Their loss is certainly someone else’s gain, because this boy loves meeting new people and making canine friends. He enjoys playing with dogs of all different sizes and has a wonderfully social, outgoing personality. Dillon is already a pleasure to walk on leash and is comfortable meeting strangers. His biggest challenge? He simply loves people a little too much! Dillon gets so excited that he likes to jump up, shower everyone with kisses, and sometimes forgets that his enthusiastic greeting could use a little refinement. He’ll benefit from some basic training to learn good manners, especially keeping all four paws on the ground and slowing down his exuberant greetings. The good news is that Dillon is eager to interact with people and should be a fun student for an adopter who enjoys teaching and engaging with their dog. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, playful, social dog who will happily make friends wherever he goes, Dillon could be your guy. Hi there- I'm Luna! I'm a one year old, spayed female, 62 lbs., Catahoula mix dog who looking for my new pack! I am seeking folks who will assist me in navigating this wide world. I may see a bit aloof when first meeting, but if we play ball I will be your friend quickly. I can be timid but I have a heart of gold and I'm waiting for the right family to give all my love to. I would do best with folks who have had large breed dogs like me! I would love to meet the entire household, including any resident dogs before going home. Come on down and hear all about me! If it's a good fit, let's meet! Ask for me- Luna ID#A0981065. I recently went on a hike with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did: I took Luna on the hike today - she was absolutely wonderful! She was happy to get in my car and go for a ride! She was super calm and sat in the backseat on the way over to Coyote Point. Luna was super calm the entire time we were waiting to get the hike started. She was so very easy to walk. She stayed by my side the entire time with no pulling of any kind. She was great with the other dogs and had no reaction to any bikers and runners passing by. She had a blast on the beach and actually ran into the surf with one of our volunteers! She loved her time in the water. She was truly a delight to spend time with - lovable girl!Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor.
