Meet Liana! Liana is a stunning 4-year-old Dalmatian/Lab mix with one blue eye, one brown eye, and a beautiful spotted coat. She weighs about 35 lbs and is full of charm and personality. Her story began when her mother was rescued by animal control from an abuse situation. While at the pound, her mom gave birth to eight beautiful puppies, and once they were released to rescue, the whole family began to thrive. Now Liana is ready for a forever home of her own. Liana is the leader of her litter and has just the right mix of sugar and spice. She’s a people pleaser who loves ear scratches and attention, and while she adores people, she’s not shy about keeping her unruly brothers in line. She’s your perfect southern gal—sweet, sassy, and full of heart. Liana is spayed, vaccinated for her age, dewormed, microchipped and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $250. Meet Peekadop! Peekadop was surrendered to the shelter on 9/29 with his brother and bestie, Tank. It is noted that both dogs are dog friendly and good with children. This sweet boy is everything you’d hope for in a puppy—curious, playful, friendly, and full of love! He’s energetic and may jump up when excited, but he’s treat-motivated and already knows how to sit nicely when asked. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, Peekadop will be well on his way to becoming a wonderful companion. Puppies are adorable, but they also require plenty of time, patience, and energy. If you’re ready for the fun and responsibility of puppyhood, come meet Peekadop! Tank is 6 months old and weighs 34 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Peekadop in kennel 50; his ID # is 22982. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Gertrude is a 1 year old Hound / Dalmation mix who is absolutely gorgeous with her stunning blue eyes! And as a bonus, she has lots of cute spots too, showing off her Dalmation side … so adorable! But she is much more than a pretty face, having a beautiful sweet personality to match. She is good on a leash, and enjoys walks plus time spent with her human friends. Gertrude gives the best adoring looks up at you while walking together, filled with love and gratitude. So just imagine the adoration she will give to her forever family. Be sure to meet this wonderful girl soon, and find out!   The adoption fee covers the spay/neuter surgery, a 1-year rabies shot, an fvrcp shot (feline distemper/upper respiratory vaccine), test for feline aids and leukemia, deworming, and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm.
