Story
I am great with kids and dogs of all sizes! I am a perfect energy level for nearly any home. And estimated to be around 3-4 years old. I’d love kids or dogs in my forever home. Just no cats please. I came from a hoarding case in Alabama and have been in my foster moms home for over a year now, she doesn’t know why and neither do I. I’m very sweet, loving and love to melt into you. I adore kids and I’m a cuddler and will cuddle anytime, anywhere. I love cuddling, sunbathing(I love to lay flat on my back and tan my belly!), playing with my fur siblings and food times, I make my bowl look like it came out of the dishwasher! At bed time I cuddle up with my fur siblings in my foster home on the couch. I am crate trained but my foster mom doesn’t crate me ever, I am very well behaved and house trained. I ride well in the car, I’m a very clean eater, I’m treat motivated and sit with the cutest perked up ears waiting patiently for my treats. My foster family loves to giggle at my play style, when I get super excited playing I spin in a circle.. or a few circles  I have seen a lot of my fosters siblings get their forever homes over the past year, but I’m still here. Ask about me! I love to meet new friends!!  October 13, 2026, 10:54 am

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. Oreo's owner has had her for 5 wonderful years but then the family had a baby and the baby became a toddler and it has all been too much for Oreo, too much unbounded kid, not enough space. She loves to cuddle, loves attention and being petted.  She will let you know if you start to slack off petting her.   She would love an active family with older respectful kids.  She loves to play fetch and to run.  Her trainer suggested agility training as she is incredibly fast and agile.  We think she would thrive on the challenge of a course and competition.  But even if she just went running and hiking with you, she would be an excellent companion who would keep you both motivated. She can be OK with other dogs, as long as they are at least medium to large size, not small ones. Age: 6 years Weight: 37 lbs Temperament: Gets along with dogs her size and larger, all adults and older respectfule kid, no toddlers Training: Housetrained Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions:    http://musicadisanto@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.October 13, 2026, 3:41 pm

Story
Dixie - 23321 - Kennel 827 - Arrived October 11, 2026 - Labrador Retriever and Dalmatian mix - black and white - female - 15 years old - 50 lbs - Spayed - Up to date on vaccines - Heartworm negative Dixie has a soft black coat, a silvery-white muzzle that tells the story of 15 years, and a big, open smile with her tongue hanging out. She looks like a dog who has spent her whole life at the side of her best friend. That friend is Marley, and she is standing right next to her in kennel 827. Dixie and Marley arrived at Cobb Animal Services on October 11, 2026. They have been together for every one of their 15 years, and everything around them is suddenly new. They are still adjusting, and in these first days they have kept a close watch on the parking lot. That tells you how deeply they feel things, and how much love they have to give. At 50 pounds, Dixie is a gentle senior girl who is house trained, knows sit and stay, and is good with children, dogs, and cats. A dog who has spent 15 years learning how to live with people is a gift to the household that welcomes her. It isn’t fair that a girl who has been a companion for this long is spending her golden years in a shelter, and she deserves a soft bed, a quiet routine, and someone who is glad she is there. Dixie and Marley have never known life apart, and we hope they can go home together. Dixie will bring a lifetime of devotion to any loving home. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. Come meet Dixie in kennel 827. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Meet Peekadop! Peekadop was surrendered to the shelter on 9/29 with his brother and bestie, Tank. It is noted that both dogs are dog friendly and good with children. This sweet boy is everything you’d hope for in a puppy—curious, playful, friendly, and full of love! He’s energetic and may jump up when excited, but he’s treat-motivated and already knows how to sit nicely when asked. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, Peekadop will be well on his way to becoming a wonderful companion. Puppies are adorable, but they also require plenty of time, patience, and energy. If you’re ready for the fun and responsibility of puppyhood, come meet Peekadop! Tank is 6 months old and weighs 34 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Please come meet Peekadop in kennel 50; his ID # is 22982. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
