Story
Don’t let the gray whiskers fool you — Josie is only 7 years old and full of life! This sweet girl recently found herself in need of a new home, and she’s ready to bring love, loyalty, and joy to the perfect family. Josie is a true cuddle bug and loves spending time snuggled up with her people. At about 35 lbs, she’s the perfect size for lap snuggles or joining you on the couch without taking over. She’s at a wonderful age — well out of the puppy chewing stage, not yet slowing down, and just the right mix of playful energy and relaxed companionship. Josie is also fully trained in her crate, house, and leash manners, thanks to the care of her long-time dog sitter and trainer. She’s a smart, well-rounded girl who’s ready to be part of a loving home where she can thrive and share her affection every day. Josie proves that 7 years old is the absolute best age — calm enough to enjoy cuddles, playful enough to keep life fun, and loyal enough to steal your heart in no time!

Story
Trout has been my best friend for the last 4 years. A friend of mine found him abandoned in the woods 45 mins from town. After failing to find an owner, they fostered him until I brought him home in 2021. My last place flooded, and Trout and I had to move into an apartment without a yard. My allergies used to be mild, but after years of exposure, I now test at a 4+ histamine response (on a 0-4 scale). I have been battling a chronic upper respiratory infection since I moved into this apartment. My doctor said that my allergies keep me sick. I have tried air purifiers, expensive vacuums, dander neutralizing spray, and anti-allergy shampoo, but nothing has helped me get well. Trout needs more cuddles than I can give him right now. He is a lover, adventure buddy, and the sweetest couch potato you will ever meet. I am going to miss my beat friend, and I want to make sure he finds a loving home. Trout is extremely smart and trainable. I would ideally like to place him with a family.
