Story
Smokey will be 8 weeks old on April 28th! He currently weighs 11 pounds. He is part of Hallie's litter (also listed on our adoptable page!). His mom, Hallie, is a 53 lb Dalmatian and we think dad was too. Smokey had one blue eye! As a puppy, he will need someone who is home for most of the day to provide a lot of attention and consistent expectations. Puppy classes and training are a must to ensure that he grows up to be a well behaved and loyal companion. He would do best in a home with kids 5+. Apply to adopt at browndogcoalition.com/adoption!Puppies will be dewormed multiple times, have had a wellness visit and their first distemper shot prior to adoption. A refundable spay/neuter surgery deposit of $250 is required. The surgery will be coordinated and paid for by BDC and done at Tufts in Grafton by six months of age, so adopters must be willing to comply with this MA regulation and within driving distance of Grafton.-Puppies may not be given as gifts or surprises. -Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a puppy BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Meet Hallie! Hallie is about 4 years old, 53 lbs, and a Dalmatian. Hallie is the mom of the Fire Department litter and is now ready for her own home. Hallie is doing well withe her house-training, has not been crated, and walks well on leash. She LOVES every person she meets. She would do fine in a home with kids 8+, but would prefer a home with no other dogs. Cats are unknown. A fenced in yard is a plus. Her foster says, "Hallie is such a happy dog! She wags her tail non-stop. She knows sit and down, and we are working on wait. She is super sweet and loves to give hugs to her people. We are working on "4 on the floor". She also loves to see what you are eating, and will need work on house-manners like not counter surfing."A refundable spay/neuter surgery deposit of $250 is required. The surgery will be coordinated and paid for by BDC and done at Tufts in Grafton within a few months, so adopters must be willing to comply with this MA regulation and within driving distance of Grafton. She is available for adoption with an approved adopter in Hopkinton, MA by appointment. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Puppies may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a puppy BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Baxter is 9 years old. I have owned him since he was 12 weeks old. At the time when I purchased him my oldest son was 7 years old. Baxter did great with that age and older. Fast forward to 18 months ago when my 2nd son was born. Baxter is uneasy inside the house around my youngest. He has a low growl when my youngest comes within sight. I was hoping as my son learned to walk and got bigger it would get better, but it hasn't. We have another little one on the way. This is why I need to rehome him. He's great with other dogs , adults and older kids. Baxter would be good for a retired person/people who is around to spend time with him. He loves being around people. He enjoys playing fetch, is easy to walk. He listens off leash and is great outside with someone playing with him. Im looking to make something happen asap. Other then growling at my youngest, he really hasn't shown any aggression his entire life. He's actually a submissive dog, especially with other dogs.
