Story
Stop will be 8 weeks old on April 28th! She currently weighs 9.5 pounds. She is part of Hallie's litter (also listed on our adoptable page!). Her mom, Hallie, is a 53 lb Dalmatian and we think dad was too. Stop has the least spots of all the puppies but spots can continue to come out through 18 months. As a puppy, she will need someone who is home for most of the day to provide a lot of attention and consistent expectations. Puppy classes and training are a must to ensure that she grows up to be a well behaved and loyal companion. He would do best in a home with kids 5+. Apply to adopt at browndogcoalition.com/adoption!Puppies will be dewormed multiple times, have had a wellness visit and their first distemper shot prior to adoption. A refundable spay/neuter surgery deposit of $250 is required. The surgery will be coordinated and paid for by BDC and done at Tufts in Grafton by six months of age, so adopters must be willing to comply with this MA regulation and within driving distance of Grafton.-Puppies may not be given as gifts or surprises. -Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a puppy BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Meet Hallie! Hallie is about 4 years old, 53 lbs, and a Dalmatian. Hallie is the mom of the Fire Department litter and is now ready for her own home. Hallie is doing well withe her house-training, has not been crated, and walks well on leash. She LOVES every person she meets. She would do fine in a home with kids 8+, but would prefer a home with no other dogs. Cats are unknown. A fenced in yard is a plus. Her foster says, "Hallie is such a happy dog! She wags her tail non-stop. She knows sit and down, and we are working on wait. She is super sweet and loves to give hugs to her people. We are working on "4 on the floor". She also loves to see what you are eating, and will need work on house-manners like not counter surfing."A refundable spay/neuter surgery deposit of $250 is required. The surgery will be coordinated and paid for by BDC and done at Tufts in Grafton within a few months, so adopters must be willing to comply with this MA regulation and within driving distance of Grafton. She is available for adoption with an approved adopter in Hopkinton, MA by appointment. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Kids 16 +Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesLilac is a sweet, lazy girl who is looking for a quiet home where she can play some fetch and then curl up in the dog bed and take a nap (her two favorite things). Lilac is wonderful with other dogs when properly introduced, and she loves to play. She would love a fenced yard to romp in. She can be leash reactive to new dogs, and though she has improved with training, this will always be something she needs to work on. For this reason, proper intros are a must with her.  She is also ecollar trained. so her perfect home would continue this training with her. She excels with structure and routine.Where Lilac still struggles greatly is with meeting new people in the home. Outside the home, and even a the vet, she is generally fine. When people that she does not know very very well come into the home, Lilac should be crated, leashed, or muzzled. She needs to be slowly introduced to new people, but once she gets to know you very very well, she's all in and is the kissiest, snuggliest girl.  She is even very sweet to pretty much everyone while muzzled, so that's an easy fix to keep her safe.  When people she does not know come into the home, she can get vocal,  but when introduced while muzzled she does fine.  Because of her reactivity to new people, a single family home is the best fit for her. She would not do well in an apartment. Lilac has had a long road, and while she has come a long way, she is very much still a work in progress. With the right family she will do just fine.Lilac's issues have happened in the past when her intros to new people coming into the home were not controlled.  So I can't emphasize enough that she needs to take it slow with new people :) But she will reward you for sure once you get to know her.Age: 9 yearsWeight: 45 lbsPlease Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. She is full of fun and has all the puppy spirit. She would love to spend all day running around the backyard playing fetch, but after expending her energy she can be found snuggled up with her humans on the couch.Maggye is looking for a household that can provide the structure and love she needs to be her best self. Maggye will do best with an experienced dog owner or an adopter that has previous rescue experience. She loves playing with other dogs, but sometimes needs help reading their cues, and has been neutral with cats in her previous foster home.Maggye gets very excited when she sees her family and is extremely loyal. Maggye is eager to please and is always ready to listen to the ‘sit’ command for a treat!Maggye is crate trained and quiet through the night, but takes a while to settle herself when she is crated during the day. She is potty trained and knows how to signal by the door when she needs to go out. She has made great strides on her leash training, but will benefit from an adopter that will help her continue to learn the ropes.Maggye is looking for her forever family to give her endless belly rubs and ear scratches! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website.
