Story
Hi! I'm Twix, and I'm a lovable 60 pound 1 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix. My foster family says I'm a playful goofball and a very smart boy. I know lots of commands like sit, down, stay, come, paw, and touch. I'm also house trained. I'm still very much a puppy, so I hope to find a forever family that will help me continue my training. I'm a good leash walker, but I also love running around and playing off leash, so a fenced in yard is definitely on my wish list. My two favorite things in the world are playing and food. I love to play with toys and having play dates with other dogs. I have 3 foster dog siblings right now, so I could be in a home with another dog but I love to be the center of attention too. If you like to snuggle, I'm your guy! I love to snuggle with my humans on the couch. After some morning play time and a walk, I spend the day napping or playing with toys while my foster parents work from home.I can be nervous when meeting new people or going to new places, but treats and positive attention help me get comfortable quickly. Because I'm a big boy and have teenage puppy energy, I would do best in a home without small children. I can't wait to meet my forever family!Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Lady is a beautiful Dalmatian born on October 2, 2022, with a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. She is the kind of dog who brings happiness wherever she goes—always ready for playtime, a walk, or an adventure, but equally content to curl up beside her people for a quiet evening of snuggles. Raised in a home with young children and another dog, Lady has grown into a friendly, affectionate companion who genuinely loves everyone she meets. Through no fault of her own, Lady is now searching for a new forever home. Due to an unexpected out-of-state move and changes within the family, her owners can no longer give her the time and attention she deserves. This decision has been incredibly difficult because Lady is truly a wonderful dog. She is well-socialized, gets along beautifully with children and other dogs, loves people, and is current on all of her veterinary care. Lady doesn’t understand why her world is changing, but she is ready to give her whole heart to a family willing to welcome her into theirs. She deserves a home where she will be cherished, included, and loved for the rest of her life. If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet girl, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Lady is waiting for the family she can call her own.   If you are interested in this beautiful girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption. Story
This pretty girl is Sushi. She is 9-months-old and weighs 43 lb. We don't know her full breed mix but we think she has some dalmatian in her. Sushi is super sweet, a perfect mix of attentive and can do her own thing. In an adorable way, she brings the party, but not the chaos of it...she brings the best parts. Sushi is social, confident, Independent, silly and engaging. She is great with other dogs and should be fine with children of all ages. We don't know what Sushi thinks of cats, but can cat-test her if needed. Sushi is going to make an awesome pet! She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. Her adoption fee is $440. If you would like to meet/adopt Sushi, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-online-adoption-application/ or stop by our shelter. We are open 10 AM to 4 PM seven days a week. The DAWS shelter address is 147 Grassy Plain St. Bethel. Email daws@daws.org with questions or if you wish to schedule an after-hours appointment. Sushi can't wait to meet you!

Story
Spots and dots, and dots and spots! Give a warm welcome to Gemini, a 3-year old, 48-pound Dalmatian who sports exquisite markings, a playful personality, and a friendly demeanor. And that’s just the beginning! Gemini is fully housebroken, he’s crate-trained, he loves spending time outdoors, and he travels like a pro. This stunning fella is warm and engaging with everyone he meets, from kids, to adults, to the elderly, as well as to other dogs. He loves horsing around with his pooch pals and he never met a toy he didn’t like. Attentive and willing to learn, Gemini doesn’t seem to know commands as of yet, but he responds to his name and rarely wanders off too far. If he does, he comes back the second you call his name. Without much effort, the clever boy should be able to pick up lots of words and phrases, in no time flat. Gemini would best be described as a Velcro dog - - the type of companion who soaks up attention like a sponge and possesses a limitless supply of love. Eager to give and receive affection, Gemini is the cuddliest, snuggliest, sweetest guy imaginable, and he would make a spot-tacular addition to just about any type of home! If you would like to adopt this wonderful dog, please email rescue@pupstarzresxue.org or visit www.pupstarzrescue.org for an application Please note that Gemini is blind. Birthdate: 7/16/2014Breed: One of a kindSmores loves her walks on the bike trail, playing and romping in the play yard, and just sitting under the tree with her best friends taking in the sounds around her. You have to come and experience her fun quirkiness for yourself to appreciate just how amazing she is!  Smores would flourish best with an active person who can give her the attention and love to call her own! *Smores would love to get to know you better! Our behavior specialist can help you get to know her better with three training sessions! Email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information!*Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36924/generic. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.June 10, 2026, 2:26 am
