Hi! I'm Twix, and I'm a lovable 60 pound 1 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix. My foster family says I'm a playful goofball and a very smart boy. I know lots of commands like sit, down, stay, come, paw, and touch. I'm also house trained. I'm still very much a puppy, so I hope to find a forever family that will help me continue my training. I'm a good leash walker, but I also love running around and playing off leash, so a fenced in yard is definitely on my wish list. My two favorite things in the world are playing and food. I love to play with toys and having play dates with other dogs. I have 3 foster dog siblings right now, so I could be in a home with another dog but I love to be the center of attention too. If you like to snuggle, I'm your guy! I love to snuggle with my humans on the couch. After some morning play time and a walk, I spend the day napping or playing with toys while my foster parents work from home.I can be nervous when meeting new people or going to new places, but treats and positive attention help me get comfortable quickly. Because I'm a big boy and have teenage puppy energy, I would do best in a home without small children. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. Lady is a beautiful Dalmatian born on October 2, 2022, with a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. She is the kind of dog who brings happiness wherever she goes—always ready for playtime, a walk, or an adventure, but equally content to curl up beside her people for a quiet evening of snuggles. Raised in a home with young children and another dog, Lady has grown into a friendly, affectionate companion who genuinely loves everyone she meets. Through no fault of her own, Lady is now searching for a new forever home. Due to an unexpected out-of-state move and changes within the family, her owners can no longer give her the time and attention she deserves. This decision has been incredibly difficult because Lady is truly a wonderful dog. She is well-socialized, gets along beautifully with children and other dogs, loves people, and is current on all of her veterinary care. Lady doesn’t understand why her world is changing, but she is ready to give her whole heart to a family willing to welcome her into theirs. She deserves a home where she will be cherished, included, and loved for the rest of her life. This pretty girl is Sushi. She is 9-months-old and weighs 43 lb. We don't know her full breed mix but we think she has some dalmatian in her. Sushi is super sweet, a perfect mix of attentive and can do her own thing. In an adorable way, she brings the party, but not the chaos of it...she brings the best parts. Sushi is social, confident, Independent, silly and engaging. She is great with other dogs and should be fine with children of all ages. We don't know what Sushi thinks of cats, but can cat-test her if needed. Sushi is going to make an awesome pet! She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. Her adoption fee is $440. This stunning fella is warm and engaging with everyone he meets, from kids, to adults, to the elderly, as well as to other dogs. He loves horsing around with his pooch pals and he never met a toy he didn’t like. Attentive and willing to learn, Gemini doesn’t seem to know commands as of yet, but he responds to his name and rarely wanders off too far. If he does, he comes back the second you call his name.
