Story
Update: Benny was adopted last year unfortunately his adopter is very ill and returned benny into our care to find his forever family. Benny is still with his current family as a foster.   Benny previous home says : Benny just wants to play, mostly with other dogs. He’s a sweet adolescent, to date, un-neutered male who appears to be a leader (or Alfa) within  his peer group. He’s not at all aggressive with other dogs, people, or children. He’s quite fond of everyone and everything, including cats and deer. He has lots of energy, but is also very calm and seemingly content alone. He’s both house and crate trained, and although he knows his name and several commands, including “come, sit, stay, stop, paw, lay down, stop, drop it, leave it”, he is not yet capable of walking off leash. He’s current with all his shots and has a one year check up with the vet in June. Attached are videos of him having both wet and dry food, tonight.the        Benny loves toys, he always enjoys carrying around his stuff toys. at first we couldnt tell them apart until we noticed how benny carries his toys. all of his brothers and himself are verly sweet mellow boys we are still learning bennys personailty but we are sure he will be a great companion for any family. ##1800647##

Story
Meet Duran! 2 years old | 42 lbs | Heeler Mix | Certified Good Boy Looking for a sidekick who’s equal parts cuddle buddy, walking partner, and silly goofball? Say hello to Duran—a happy, energetic Heeler mix with a heart of gold and a love for life (and other dogs!). Duran is a social butterfly when it comes to pups—he LOVES his dog friends and would be thrilled to have a canine sibling or regular dog park playdates. After he’s zoomed around and made his rounds saying hi, he’s ready to settle in for a good cuddle sesh or nap right by your side. This city pup is house trained, walks great on leash, and knows all the essentials like sit, down, paw, wait, leave it, and more—yep, he’s a smart cookie (and yes, he’s very food motivated!). He’s always down for an adventure, whether it’s a stroll around the neighborhood, a trip to grab a coffee, or errands around town—he might even insist you stop into Duane Reade, just because. Duran has the perfect mix of playful energy and chill vibes. He’s content lounging while you work from home as long as he gets his daily walk and some fun time outside. And when the zoomies hit? Get ready to laugh—he’s got the best goofy moves. He’s polite with people, curious about the world, and gaining confidence every day. Give him a treat and a little time, and he’ll be your best bud in no time. If you're looking for a loyal, loving pup who’s already got the basics down and is always ready for the next adventure (or nap), Duran is your guy. Story
Say hello to the Righteous Gemstones. Mom is Lindy. She and her 6 pups were living on their own in the country and a nice lady was trying so hard to find help for this family. Sadly one pup did not survive but we were notified just in time to save mom and 6 pups. Lindy is only 42 pounds and looks to be a Kelpie. That’s a herding breed…and a perfect medium size. Mom is very laid back and she and her pups are enjoying the lifestyle they have come into. They have comfy beds, blankets, a couch, ac and all the food, water, vetting and love they needed to help them survive. We estimate the puppies were born in late March so that means if all goes as planned they will be fully vetted and ready for their forever homes the last weekend in May. What a perfect time to bring a pup home. If you are interested in adopting please visit our website at funnyfarmpets.org You can read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works. The link to submit the application is https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog Adoption fees are $399 and if the dog has to be transported out of West TN there will be an additional $200 fee.

Story
MEET CHIP, THE SWEET DALMATIAN MIX! Chip is a resilient 1 year old Dalmatian/lab mix with a heart full of joy and a tail that never stops wagging, despite being saved from an overpopulated kill shelter in East Tennessee. This lovable 40-pound bundle of energy thinks he's a lap dog and loves people, dogs, cats, and kids alike! He gets along with everyone he has met, and he would make a wonderful addition to most any home. Chip is especially excellent with kids and would LOVE to share his home with a kid of his own who he can grow up with!  From Chip's current foster:  "We're pretty grateful we get to spend time with this guy! He's SO well mannered, respectful, and loving! Chip is the perfect catch. He's going to make someone SUPER blessed. While shy when meeting, he warms up very quickly! He's so awesome." Chip is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. A 100% good doggo! Apply today to meet this special pup and start a new chapter together! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2411230##

Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Meet Lacie, she’s a 2 year old mix and super loving and friendly with people and dogs. She’s 22 pounds and has a great heart. She would thrive in a home with lots of stuff to play with. She’s house-trained and crate-trained All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social. Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there)Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!) All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport. Please go to our site https://zanisfurryfriends.org fill out an application Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
