Story
I`m a spotted gentleman with a big heart, endless energy, and a very serious commitment to snack quality control. I`m happiest when I`m by your side, whether we`re going on adventures, playing around in the yard, or just hanging out together after a long day. I`ve been told I`m equal parts goofy and sweet, and I fully believe every moment is better with a wagging tail involved. Bonus points if you carry treats. I will absolutely act like they`re the greatest thing ever created. I`m looking for someone who appreciates cuddles, playtime, and a loyal best friend who`s always excited to see you.

Story
We got Ivy when she was 6 months old. She is now 4 years old. She is a wonderful, loving dog who thinks she is a lap dog. Ivy does not require a fenced yard as she is currently living on a farm and stays near the house. She does well with children, other dogs, cats, rabbits, and chickens. She prefers to cuddle in bed but is also crate trained and has no problem sleeping in a crate if desired. Unfortunately, she has chronic ear infections that we cannot afford to properly care for. This has left her with cauliflower ear on one side. She deserves a home that will love her unconditionally and give her a pain free life.

Story
***PLEASE READ HIS BIO CAREFULLY TO BE SURE YOU CAN MEET HIS NEEDSRiver came to us 6 weeks ago as an extremely underweight young Dalmatian after spending his life chained outside without enough food or socialization. Since then, this sweet boy has gained 10 lbs on a careful refeeding schedule and is finally feeling well enough to start looking for his forever family. 🖤🤍River is not officially adoptable yet, but we ARE looking for a foster-to-adopt home for him while he finishes his medical care and gains a few more pounds. He still needs to complete Lyme treatment and be neutered before adoption is finalized.🐾 About River:• Young male Dalmatian• Medium size, expected around 45 lbs once fully filled out• Sweet, people-loving boy despite his rough past• Crate trained in foster care• Learning house training• Does well on a cable or in a fenced yard• Knows “sit” and is learning patience• Loves dog beds• Has not really learned how to play with toys yet because survival and food were always his focusRiver is Lyme positive, which is being treated and is NOT contagious. He is heartworm negative, vaccinated, on monthly preventatives, and will be neutered and microchipped before adoption.Because Dalmatians are prone to urinary stones, River is currently on a prescription urinary care food. At this time we do not know if this will be lifelong or temporary. A 27 lb bag costs approximately $140, so we want adopters to carefully consider this financial commitment before applying. We will send his current open bag and a brand new bag home with him, but it will likely only last 4–6 weeks.🍽️ Food behaviors:River came to us starving, and while his body is healing, his mind still believes food may disappear at any moment. He currently:• Needs slow feeder bowls or feeder balls• Searches counters and trash cans for food• Should be fed separately from other pets initially• May need lifelong feeding managementBecause of this, we do not feel a home with toddlers or very young children is the best fit, as food in little hands could be too tempting for him. He has seen young children through a gate in foster care and otherwise seemed perfectly fine with them.We do not yet know how River feels about cats.River lived in a foster home for 2 weeks where he learned:🏡 Crates are safe🏡 Bedrooms can be relaxing🏡 People can be kind🏡 Dog beds are amazingHe occasionally had accidents when left loose, but overall did very well. He also rode in the car crated, which he wasn’t thrilled about, but handled appropriately. After a lifetime of neglect, River still loves people and wants connection. He simply needs a patient family willing to teach him how to be a dog and continue showing him that he never has to worry about food or safety again. With reward-based training, patience, and consistency, we believe River has the potential to become an incredible companion. ❤️We are requiring applications for River. Please apply here:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sr2794&method=online_form_html&formid=21💲 Adoption fee: $250IMPORTANT:River’s neuter appointment is Friday, June 5 so he cannot leave on adoption until after that appointment. We're open Monday through Friday 12-5 pm and Saturday 11-3 pm. We're located at 9331 State Route 124 Hillsboro, OH. Our adoption is open and easy, please come to the shelter to meet the animals in person to adopt.

Story
Belmont is a 5‑year‑old, active, goofy, and lovable pup who wants to be part of everyday family life. He’s eager to learn, full of joyful energy, and always ready for tug, fetch, or a good run outside. He thinks he’s a 60‑lb lap dog and loves leaning, flopping, and snuggling. In the yard, he can show fence aggression toward other animals, so a secure space and supervision are important — but once he meets you, he’s all sweetness. Belmont “talks” with expressive whining, typical for his breed. He knows sit, stay, down, hush, come, break, and leave it, and he thrives with people who enjoy training, playing, and bonding. He’d do great in an active home with plenty of outdoor time. Belmont enjoys toddlers and older kids who can join in his fun energy. He’s healthy, vaccinated, and ready for a family who appreciates a big, silly, affectionate companion. If you want a loyal, playful dog who brings laughter and energy to your days, Belmont might be your perfect match.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Marley & Earl – A Bond Worth Saving Marley and Earl were once beloved family dogs, living a happy life with an owner who adored them. Sadly, their owner developed serious health issues and passed away, leaving no one able to care for them. Through no fault of their own, these two grieving dogs ended up at a local animal control facility that was forced to euthanize for space. Their story broke hearts across the internet—and ours too. When a foster home opened up, we knew we had to help. Marley and Earl left the shelter together, and together is how they must stay. This bonded pair has already lost the person they loved most. We won't ask them to lose each other too. They are wonderful dogs who love people, get along well with other dogs, and are exceptionally well-trained. They simply want a soft place to land and a family to love again. Both Marley and Earl are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX negative, and current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. If you'd like to give this deserving duo the second chance they need, apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. Adoption fee if adopted as a pair is $400 They are currently located in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast for an additional $225 transport fee. We are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 12, 2026, 6:46 pm

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌸🐾 Meet Shirley — A Soft Soul with a Big Heart (and a Little Extra Fluff) 🐾🌸 Shirley is a June 2023 baby, weighing in at about 60 pounds — though her ideal weight is closer to 50 (she’s currently rocking that “well-loved” look 😄). She’s spayed, fully vetted, and comes with what can only be described as an impressively solid resume for a family dog. Shirley checks all the important boxes: ✅ Good with other dogs ✅ Great with kids ✅ House trained ✅ Up to date on vaccines ✅ Loyal, loving, and well-mannered ✅ Professional belly-rub enthusiast At first, Shirley can be a teeny bit shy — the kind of girl who likes to observe before jumping in — but give her a moment and she’ll melt right into you. Once she trusts you, she’s all about the belly rubs, quiet companionship, and loyal sidekick energy. She’s sweet, gentle, and has a calm presence that makes her a joy to be around. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the center of attention — she just wants to be near her people, soaking up love and offering it right back. Whether it’s lounging at your feet, joining you for a walk, or quietly supervising household activities, Shirley is happy just being part of a family. And yes… she could stand to lose a few pounds — but honestly, that just means more motivation to strap on that fitbit and getting your steps in... together, right? 😉 Shirley is ready for a home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished — a place where she can finally settle in and be someone’s “good girl” for life. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give Shirley the forever home she so deeply deserves. 🐾💖

Story
Meet Trenton! This good boy is the whole package! He is a mixed breed, best guess English pointer/boxer mix, and no one breed is evident. He is 2-year-old medium sized (55 pound) love bug who is gentle and adores kids. He is house trained. It does not appear he has been taught basic commands, but he should be a quick learner as he learned the doggy door ropes in a single day. The crate is not his favorite. He will go in when bribed with delicious treats and sleep quietly through the night. He mimics the vibe of the house by playing when we are active and snuggling on couch when we are quiet. He also gets along with other dogs, playing or backing off at the appropriate times. As he has settled into his foster home, he has started wrestling with the alpha dog of the house. Trenton deserves someone who will shower him with attention, car rides and rounds of fetch. He is everyone’s best friend, can he be yours? Trenton is neutered and up to date on all vaccines, flea and heartworm medication.
