I got her when she was just 7 weeks old, and she’s been a deeply loved part of my life ever since. She is incredibly loyal, affectionate, and forms a strong bond with her person — she loves being close and is happiest when she feels connected. She has grown into an athletic, intelligent Doberman who enjoys daily walks and thrives with structure and consistency. She carries that classic Doberman temperament — protective, aware, and very people-focused, with a sweet and loving nature in the home. She does best with thoughtful, structured introductions to new people and dogs, and once comfortable, she can be very social and affectionate. She’s a dog that builds trust and becomes incredibly devoted. This has not been an easy decision, but due to changes in my long-term lifestyle, I’m no longer able to provide the level of consistency and care she deserves. I’m committed to finding her the right home where she can continue to thrive and be someone’s loyal companion.

Story

Rehoming our 1-year-old Doberman/German Shepherd mix. He is house trained, crate trained, chipped, vaccinated, and neutered. He is very gentle, sweet, and good with both dogs and kids. This is an incredibly difficult decision for us, but unfortunately we are no longer able to give him the time, attention, and love he deserves. We want to find him a safe, loving home where he can truly thrive. We are hoping to find him a family before we are forced to surrender him in about two weeks. Story

Hanzo is an 9 year old male Doberman. Hanzo’s foster says he has two personalities – Indoor and Outdoor. Indoor Hanzo is calm, gentle, and loves to nap. He loves to cuddle and get pets. Outside, he is excited and ready to play. Hanzo is crate trained, and you’ll almost always find him with a ball or toy in his mouth. Hanzo could use some help with continued leash training. Hanzo has done well with other dogs his whole life – however he can be a bit forward with some dogs. Hanzo was returned to DHDR recently due to not jiving well with the other dog in his adoptive home. We believe Hanzo would do well as an only dog, or possibly with just the right passive dog. However, he can easily be around other pups out in public. Hanzo is one of the easiest dogs we’ve ever had – living with him is relaxing and low-stress. This special boy is going to make someone very happy.

Lucytoo is a sweet 6 year old female Doberman. She loves attention, affection, and wants to be right next to her person...unless it is play time. She really enjoys playing with other dogs. Lucy has lived with cats and does well, though she can be a bit forward (she doesn't realize not all cats want to be slobbered). While Lucy will go into a crate, she isn't the biggest fan, since she has been living uncrated for so long. She does well when left at home alone. Lucy is very food motivated, so so loves games and training with food. Toys aren't as interesting to her. This cuddle bug is going to make a family very happy!
