Story
UPDATE: Coco “Bean” came to BDR a few months ago, so overweight walking the neighborhood was too much. Today, the slimmer girl is now doing interval training with her foster mom. Her high prey drive makes way for hours in the yard squirrel hunting, she even try to climb the trees with her new figure. She will do better with similar sized dogs. This lady loves and demands cuddles and sometimes you can get a glimpse of a grin. ——————————- Coco is a stunningly beautiful fawn girl that is 8 years old. Her life has been spent being a Mama dog but now it's time for Coco to be spoiled. Her foster Mom says Coco is the sweetest girl she has ever had. Loves to lay in the sunshine. But like many dobies does not care for fireworks or thunderstorms. To soothe her during these stressful times she will carry around her foster Mom's shoe and that makes her feel better. Guess it's like having her puppies again. Currently lives with a very young dobie boy and she tolerates him for the most part. As you can imagine Coco isn't wanting to be bothered with a young pup too much, she has done that enough in life. Coco is looking for a family that wants to treat her like the queen bee that she deserves to be. A stroll around the neighborhood or just relaxing in the yard with her people will be her ideal day.

Story
Steel, or Cowboy Steel as his foster calls him, was a stray so we don't know his story but we do know he was found with another dog. He has been fine with the female dog in his foster home and also the kitties. Steel's foster and vet are estimating him to be around 8 years old. He has some vision issues although he can still see it's just not as good as when he was a young pup. Despite him being a "senior dobe" he still has plenty of energy. Loves to go out in the yard to run and play with toys. If you are looking for a dobie that will be your companion and best friend then this cowboy is waiting for you to apply.

Story
Artie is a gorgeous red Doberman that is docked and cropped. He has a beautiful traditional ear crop with full mobility. He was found as a stray so we do not know his history. He is estimated to be between one and three years old. He is acclimating to life as an indoor dog and blossoming in his foster home. He is vetted and ready for his forever home. Artie is very sweet and relatively high energy. He is an extremely curious Velcro Doberman with a red goofy personality but does get nervous with new things and recall. He enjoys running in the yard, eating, playing with toys and female Doberman at his foster and chewing on bones. He loves going on walks and continues to work on his leash skills. He has met the neighbors and their dogs and done well. He was also cat tested and ok with indoor cats. He is working on housebreaking and happily wears a belly band while he learns. He does not like going outside by himself. He is crate trained and strongly recommend using one when you are not home to keep him out of trouble. He is young and likes to get into things including socks and shoes. If Artie sounds like a good fit, please put in an application!

Story
Xena is a 3 year old, female Doberman Pinscher that weighs 84lbs and she's a doll! She was picked up, very thin, as a stray and we can't imagine why someone wasn't out looking for her! Her first month or two with us was with a great foster who helped her get her condition back. While in foster, she just continued to amaze. She does very well with other dogs, proved to be already crate, leash and house trained. She has a nice, moderate energy level and she's very willing to please. Just to really give her every chance at a great life, we enrolled her in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. Here, she is living with her inmate 24/7. She is a very quick study and soon, she can add basic obedience to her list of accomplishments. This girl is a treasure and will make a wonderful family companion. Xena is looking for a forever how without cats or small dogs. Xena requires a physically fenced yard that is attached to the residence. If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of our application. Please visit our website at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com and click on Xena's picture in "Adoptable Dogs". Additional adoption FAQ's can be found here also. Meets will be set with approved applicants based on our "best family fit" approach. Thank you!
