Story
Meet Happy! We have all fallen in love with this 'Happy', goofy boy. He really lives up to his name! We don't know much about Happy's history but he seems to get along well with other dogs out on walks and has good recall when off-leash. Happy loves to swim and is ready for an adopter that can provide him with lots of exercise and fun! Happy's ideal home would be someone that can take him on walks, runs, hikes, and swims and does not have any other animals or kids. Happy will need someone that can handle his pulling on leash and who will be dedicated to helping him learn loose leash walking. Happy has shown that he is a quick learner and is eager to please his people. Sometimes when Happy gets overly excited he can try to hump other dogs, so Happy will need an adopter that can work on decreasing this behaviour. Due to this behaviour, we also feel as though Happy would do best as a solo dog in a home with no other animals. He may also have some resource guarding tendencies around food with other animals, so his new home will need to be conscious of that possibility. Happy has not shown any reactivity to other dogs on walks, he even remains calm when they bark at him! His "Happy" demeanor always shines through!Happy would like to warm up to new people on his own time and terms, and would appreciate a calm and patient new family. He also does not like being picked up (unless it is for a car ride!). However, Happy still loves getting snuggles and belly rubs from those he knows.Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Happy's person? Apply today!Friendly tip: If you're looking for a surefire way to make your application to stand out, consider telling us a little bit about yourself in the "anything else you'd like us to know?" section! Story
Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! I love all people and dogs, am a healthy, happy boy and just want to find my home. Let's work together and find it!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Dante! He is a beautiful, 1-year-old, 56 lb Doberman who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA to find a better life. We are not sure of his past life, but he came to us very underweight and covered in ticks. We are working to get him back to a healthy weight. Dante is a very sweet boy who loves to go for walks but can put hard on the leash. He will need some work on his overall obedience skills. He does know some basic commands. He is very treat motivated which is great for training. He is very interested in squeaky toys and may have some prey drive so we are recommending a home without cats or other small animals for now. He would love a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run and play. He has done well with other dogs in our care and would do great with another dog in the home but could do fine as an only dog as well. Dante is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Chopper! He is a gorgeous, purebred, 7-month-old, Doberman Pinscher who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA to find a better life Chopper is fun, active boy who still has very puppy like energy and will need work on his overall obedience and leash skills. She can be a little mouthy (playful), so we are not recommending small children at this time. He does great with other dogs and loves to play and would love another playful dog in the home. We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood where he can run and play. No city life for him. He enjoys going for walks but can be barky at other dogs passing by as he wants to engage them in play. He loves to go on walks and run and would love an active adopter who loves to run or would take him on adventures. Chopper is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $550.
