Story

Stuart is a nearly 4-year-old Bernedoodle (turning 4 on May 4) with a joyful, affectionate personality and active spirit. He has lived an outdoorsy life in the Laurentians with regular walks, dog social time, car rides, and close family connection. He is neutered, healthy, and up to date on veterinary care. Stuart is friendly and playful with other dogs and enjoys social settings. He is curious and playful around children and cats, though he has not lived with either. His energy is moderate to high, and he thrives with daily exercise and structure. On leash, he may pull when excited and can show playful reactivity toward large male dogs if he has pent-up energy. With regular activity, he is balanced and happy. He loves car rides, squeaky toys, belly rubs, and being near his people. He bonds closely with one special person and enjoys a cozy den or space nearby. Stuart is not being rehomed due to behavior. This decision is solely due to a change in family health circumstances.

Health & Background &#226&#156&#133 Spayed &#226&#156&#133 Rabies and core vaccines up to date &#226&#156&#133 On monthly flea/tick preventatives &#226&#156&#133 Microchipped &#226&#154&#150&#239&#184&#143 Weight: 27 lbs (mid July) Estimated DoB: 10 September 2024 Give a Dog a Home Rescue suffered a devastating fire on 20 January 2026 losing the house and operations center of the rescue. Fortunately the kennel building was not affected by the fire, however, access to water and septic was lost making the kennels not useable. Many people stepped up to foster and a boarding and day care kennels in Bangor also reached out to offer to take some dogs and they took Clara Belle and her friends Cruz and Ryder Girl. They have been at the kennels since the end of January and have been doing great, the staff love them, they are social, well-behaved and love playing together. I did ask that they share a kennel since they are all friends, and staff say they are wonderful dogs and love having them there. She is super friendly and affectionate, enjoys people and other dogs, but would be happy with a person/family of her own. She is very responsive and will respond to training well. She rides great in the car and is well mannered. She has been around kids and is great with them.
