Story
**Note: Camper is currently in Korea and will travel to Montreal once adopted. His adopter will need to come to Toronto to pick him up. 🐾 Background This handsome boy was rescued from a slaughterhouse in the summer of 2022 in Daegu, Korea. After his rescue, he lived in a local shelter for three years but couldn’t find a home in Korea. After hearing his story, we brought him to our boarding house, knowing that a loving family is waiting for him in Canada. His forever home is out there, and he is ready to find it. 🐾 Personality & Behavior Camper is a wonderful Border Collie with a sweet and gentle personality. He has medium energy, much calmer than a typical Border Collie, making him well-mannered and easygoing. He is social and friendly, not shy around strangers, and he gets along beautifully with other dogs. Camper is never dominant or aggressive; he is always polite and affectionate. Among people at the shelter, he is one of the sweetest and most popular dogs, loved by volunteers for his friendly and gentle nature. 🐾 Daily Life & Habits Camper is well-behaved both indoors and outdoors. He goes potty outside and is easy to care for. He handles bath time and car ride well, and walks nicely on leash, though he sometimes gets excited by new sights during walks. He does not like being caged but has shown no signs of separation anxiety or destructive behavior. Camper is simply a sweet, well-mannered boy who makes life easy and enjoyable. 🐾 Health & Diet Camper has been on regular parasite prevention since his rescue and has had full veterinary checkups. He is dewormed, microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He is healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home. Camper eats kibble twice a day and has shown no food allergies. 🐾 Ideal Home Camper is smart, quick to learn, and very sociable. He will thrive in a home that enjoys spending time outdoors. While he does not require excessive exercise like some Border Collies, he enjoys daily walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures. He will happily balance activity with relaxation and is a perfect companion for a family who loves to include their dog in their outdoor lifestyle. Whoever adopts Camper will be very lucky to have such a gentle, affectionate, and loyal friend. ⬇️ Become Camper's family today through link below: https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/camper/

Story
**Note: Currently, Maru is in Korea, but he will fly to Toronto on upon adoption. His adopter need to come to Toronto to pick him up. Background It was heartbreaking to learn that Maru spent five long years in a city pound. When we first met him, he was very timid and fearful of strangers. He sat quietly in a corner, watching people move around, unaware that his life was about to change after waiting for so long. Maru was finally rescued and moved to our partner boarding house along with other rescue dogs. Since then, he has been living a peaceful and quiet life, gently coexisting with the other dogs around him. For the first time, he is learning what safety and calm truly feel like. Personality and socialization Maru is an introverted, quiet, and shy boy with a sweet and loving nature. All he needs is time and patience to feel safe in a new environment, and once he does, his gentle heart truly shines. He enjoys staying close to his humans without being demanding. He is not affectionate, but he has his own gentle way of showing love. His presence is calm and comforting, and his trust, once earned, is very special. With other dogs, Maru is very gentle and friendly. He tends to be on the submissive side and does best with calm, well mannered dogs. Loud, overly energetic, or dominant dogs can make him uncomfortable but he will bare. Behaviour Maru has always been quiet and well behaved. He is shy but at the same time polite at the vet and does well during baths and car rides. On walks, he can be timid at first, but once he trusts his person, he walks nicely on leash and follows their lead calmly. He has not shown any signs of separation anxiety or destructive behavior. Maru is patient, and mellow, especially once he feels secure with his humans. Health and diet Maru is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He has been dewormed and is on monthly parasite prevention. Maru also has a mild heart murmur. It is not heart disease, but regular monitoring will be needed to ensure he stays healthy. He currently eats dry food and has shown no signs of allergies. Ideal home Maru would do best with someone who has rescue experience, is patient, and understands how to communicate with a timid dog. A calm home with a gentle routine would suit him best. Having another friendly and gentle dog in the home would greatly help him settle and feel more confident. A quiet home, preferably away from a busy city environment, would be ideal for Maru. He is not looking for anything extraordinary. All he needs is someone who can wait for him, give him time, and offer patience without pressure. Once you earn Maru’s trust, you will become his favorite person in the world, and his quiet loyalty will be deeply rewarding. ------------------------------ For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/maru-4/

Story
** Note: Songsol is currently in Korea and will travel to Toronto upon adoption. Her adopter will need to come to Toronto to pick her up. 🐾 Background Songsol was found on the streets of Yongin, Korea last summer. She had been abandoned and was in terrible condition. Her body was extremely thin, with only skin and bones left. She had severe bedsores and was unable to walk. Weak and exhausted, she was rushed to the hospital where she stayed for one month. After her hospitalization, Songsol joined our partner boarding house. With proper care, she slowly began to gain weight and rebuild her strength. She now lives peacefully with other dogs and continues to grow healthier every day. 🐾 Personality and Socialization Songsol is a gentle and loving girl with a medium energy level. She is friendly with everyone she meets and does well with other dogs as long as they are friendly. More than anything, Songsol loves being with her people. She is very affectionate and enjoys cuddling and staying close to her humans. She is truly a people focused dog and feels happiest when she is by your side. 🐾 Behaviour Songsol is an easygoing and smart girl. She does well in the car and is calm during baths, grooming, and vet visits. She walks nicely on leash and is generally well behaved. She can experience separation anxiety and prefers being near her humans. For this reason, we are looking for a home where someone is around most of the time and can offer her reassurance and companionship. 🐾 Health and Diet While we do not know what Songsol went through before she was found, it is clear that she suffered severe neglect. Thankfully, she has fully recovered and is now healthy and is ready for her forever home. She does not require any special medication or treatment. Songsol is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. She eats dry food twice a day and has shown no signs of allergies. 🐾 Ideal Home Songsol is a sweet, gentle, and intelligent dog who deeply loves people. Her ideal home would be one where she is rarely left alone and is included in daily life. A detached house is preferred, as she may bark if she feels anxious when left alone. A quiet environment such as the countryside would suit her well. A retired person or someone who works from home and can spend plenty of time with Songsol would be the perfect match for this loving girl. ⬇️ Become her family today through link below: https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/songsol/
