You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. KELLER was saved from a kill shelter in Louisiana and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 10 October 2023. KELLER is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch.He has an estimated date of birth of May 2023 and on 26 October 2023 weighed around 60 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue     YouTube channel     and     photo albums on our Facebook page     to see a LOT of pictures and videos. KELLER is a big, affectionate love bug who cannot look at anyone without waggling his bum which wags his body.  He loves to play and charge around with his other dogs friends, but can be very calm and gentle with people.  He has been around adults of all ages, shapes and sizes, small children and people with special needs and was gentle and loving.  He is responsive and can be a little shy on occasions, he has been out on adventures and came on our December outing to Bissell Brothers Brewery where he had a great time. He does need an active family who will ensure he gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that he needs to live a happy fulfilling life. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. KELLER is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a  reduced adoption  fee of $50. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ZYM was saved from a kill shelter in Georgia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024. He along with 3 other pitties that he was saved were extremely emaciated with pressure sores that have been treated for and are all doing amazing having gained weight and healed. Zym is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of 4 April 2023 and in April 2024 weighed of 36 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. Since Zym has been here (just over a month at the time of this update) he has done amazing, he has gained weight (too much and is now on a diet lol). He and Smellerbee are pretty bonded and snuggle up together in a big puppy pile, so we would love to adopt them together but will adopt individually if a family only wants one. He is playful, affectionate, goofy, happy, full of love, kisses and cuddles. From what he must have endured to now it is a complete change, he is so much fun. He deserves an extra special family who can give him the life he deserves and help him forget the abuse, neglect and starvation he has suffered. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel    and    photo albums on our Facebook page    to see a LOT of pictures and videos. After just a month of being here, Smellerbee has gained his weight (a little too much now lol) his wounds have healed and boy is he so loving and affectionate, he gives the best kisses, has the best cuddles, is loving, playful and happy. He is pretty close with Zym and they snuggle together which is adorable and we would love to adopt them together, but will adopt individually if a family cannot take both. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. PHOENIX was saved from being shot on the streets of Oman by an amazing organization Muscat Dog Adoption. He along with his 7 friends were flown into JFK where they were cleared the CDC and then picked up and transported back to Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024 Phoenix is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped. He has an estimated date of birth of 2 January 2023 and at the time of transport weighed around 42 pounds. Mixed breed dogs in Oman are referred to as Omani Wadi Dogs, with most of them being Saluki mixes. PHOENIX is the youngest of the dogs that came over from OMAN and he has settled in great. He shares a kennel with his Omani friends, Myrtle (who keeps in him in check) and KATIE (who he has a crush on lol). He is very affectionate, gentle, playful, he found the toy basket almost straight away and enjoys getting them all out and playing or chewing on them. He doesn't like sharing all the time and will let the other dog know with a low growl that it is his food or toy, but has never escalated to anything other than appropriate communicating. He gets super excited when I go over to the kennels, he loves having lots of neck and ear scratches, cuddles and kisses. He will need a family that has an active lifestyle and can give him all that he deserves and needs to thrive. He will in return give you all the love he has, so many giggles with his goofy antics and lots of wonderful memories to be made. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue   YouTube channel   and    photo albums on our Facebook page   to see a LOT of pictures and videos.
