Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Bohdi is a very sweet boy who's loving nature is always on full display. He is very much a lovebug and adores attention. He is house trained and loves going outside and will fetch a little bit but is easily distracted by the small things (rocks, sticks or light digging). Unfortunately he is the victim of lax training. My ex significant other was tasked with this and dropped the ball. As a result he is on furniture and can be beggy at times. He is trainable and a very good dog but really should be with a family that can give him all of the love and direction he needs. He was at a dog camp when he was younger so has been socialized. He is ok with new people. I have never had him around children but I do not forsee a problem. He is large and heavy so take this into consideration. He does not like cats but may be swayed if trained better

Story
Benelli Is a WONDERFUL 4-year-old hound mix that is an old soul. Hes a little shy at first but has been good with other dogs and kids over 6He would be a great hiking buddyWe are pre-approving applicants. To schedule an appointment, first fill out our adoption application ( https://cb8f5fb7-0a87-40fa-8ea5-50c4da40acd3.filesusr.com/ugd/c8cb9f_8cd13866ecd54a42a2b424d2b2f8dc10.pdf ). This will ask you questions about which animal you’re interested in, your family, other furry members in the household, whether you own or rent your home and who your Veterinarian is. These allow us to make the best match possible. We touch base with your landlord due to the unfortunate number of landlords who do not allow pets in Franklin County. Our goal with checking in with your Veterinarian is to ensure that the animals of FCAR receive the medical care they deserve. Once we have a positive reference from your landlord (if you rent) and Veterinarian, we will contact you to schedule an appointment with us! If you don't have any pets we understand you would not have a vet reference and we ask for applicants to substitute a personal reference. Please keep in mind, appointments are first come, first serve, based on when your application is approved. Please be patient with your Veterinarian and landlord, as their staff and businesses have been affected by COVID-19 as well. We are incredibly thankful that there has been no shortage in interest! This being said, our staff is limited and we are doing our absolute best to approve applications in a timely manner. This process can take up to a few weeks, but most are approved before then.
