Story
Kiwi is a 2 yr old male boxer/bulldog/pit bull mix. He recently completed a 2-week training to help with some behaviors from being in a shelter most of his life- difficulty meeting new people, etc. He will need a patient owner to continue his training & Charlie's Place will pay for training as part of his adoption. He knows his basic commands, loves going on hikes & exploring & playing fetch! He is loveable & affectionate and has been getting along well with other dogs with proper introductions. He is a sweetheart & needs a chance at his forever home! Kiwi is currently in a shelter at Charlies' Place the Clear Creek/ Gilpin County shelter in Dumont, CO. For more information please contact Sue at 303-679-2477 or go to www.charliesplaceshelter.weebly.com.     This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Story
Aries is a 2 yr old, 70 lb male boxer/ bulldog/pit bull mix.  He is a gentle giant! He knows his commands and walks very well on a leash without pulling. He is kindhearted & is a very calm dog. He loves pets & scratches & is good with kids & people. He needs some help socializing with other dogs and has been practicing at times with a muzzle. He needs a patient owner to continue with help in this area. He would not do well in a home with a cat.   He is currently in a shelter at Charlies' Place the Clear Creek/ Gilpin county shelter in Dumont, CO.  For more information please contact Sue at 303-679-2477 or go to www.charliesplaceshelter.weebly.com   This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Story
I'm a beautiful girl. I was said to be boxer, but might be some sort of bully mix. I'm one of those sweet ones. My litter of puppies are the white paint shades litter. I lost a lot of weight getting them grown, but I'm recovered now. I'll be someone's best lover girle ever. It that someone you? If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2095201##
