Story
She is fairly new to the family and we had another dog, but unfortunately the other dog and her got into an altercation more then once. It result in injuries to the owner and now both dogs are being re-homed, leaving Bella as the only one in need of a home. No shelter or organization will take her, and no one else is able to take her in and she needs a new home ASAP. She will need one of her front canines removed and we are willing to pay for that too.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Wondering how I’m still available?  Me too!  I might seem high maintenance being I need a fenced yard and another dog to play with in my forever home but I see it as making it easier for you.  You can just open the door and out we go to potty and play! You’ll find me to be super playful and incredibly sweet.  I enjoy cuddling with both people and dogs.  I’ve not quite gotten brave enough to check out the cat that is here.  So far the closest I’ve gotten is a sniff in the air. I’m what you would call a high-energy dog and it can appear as high energy reactiveness when I meet new dogs, so an experienced dog owner that can do proper introductions would help me remember to be polite and thrive.  I’m potty trained (unless you rely on using a leash, where I’ll hold it until I’m back inside, which is why I’m asking for a fenced yard). Perhaps we can work on using a leash together as I have a tendency to pull.  But I do know some commands, such as “sit, kennel and outside.”  Speaking of which, I know how to use a kennel but I’m not a fan of one.  I also have been known to bark at strangers out the windows and when you come back home.  I don’t count the times I bark when other dogs start it.  I’m just playing along.  Here is a summary of what foster-mom says: “She's absolutely perfect. Still young and playful but loves to be a couch potato and cuddle. She loves to get super close and tuck her head into your neck. She loves other dogs but needs to take it slow with dogs who are over friendly and get in her face. She does warm up eventually though. She's eager to learn and would benefit from training, especially good recall training as she does love to run.” Do you think we would be a good fit? *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi! I’m Colton, the silliest boxer boy there ever was. I live for toys and I trot around like a champion and show it off to my humans when I find a good one. I also love to go on walks with my human. We are working on not pulling on the leash and I am a quick learner but do need a reminder once in awhile. I am potty and crate trained. I would do best in a home with an active owner and a female dog.  Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Yukon (Yuki) was dumped at a high kill shelter in West Texas. He is deaf, but that does not slow him down. Best fit home would have a fenced in yard to keep him safe and a companion dog. He is good with other dogs, kids, and cats (dog savvy ones because he likes to chase to play and lick them). All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.  Yuki can be shy at first but don't let that foolw you, he quickly warms up and is the best boy. He is a smart boy who learned signs and schedules fast. He loves to run and play with dogs (and cats but he doesn't understand his size to theirs). He loves everyone he meets and thinks all dogs are his friends. He is working on leash skills, but he doesn't quite understand it yet. He is a gem and anyone would be lucky to have him as part of their family First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vet visit.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 15, 2024, 12:56 pm

East TN. Out of state welcome! If you are seeing this on adopt a pet the float for transport and health certificates for travel are included in the adoption fee. Transport may be available to your area in the northeast or Great Lakes areas. We use Rescue riders for our transport needs because they are amazing with our pups! Meet Thumper! This little guy is about 40 lbs of playful and fun energy. He’s sweet and good with people and other dogs. He’s about 2.5 years old and is a mixed breed but a really cool Mixed breed. I mean look at his cute ears. He’s adorable. He’s already crate trained and house trained. NO CATS. He is not fond of cats. Probably won’t do well with smaller rodent type animals either. He will scream SQUIRREL! And the rest is history. Haha. He would do well with children over the age of 10 because he’s very playful and may knock smaller children down during playtime.
