Story
Kona is a 7 year old pitty boxer mix with a sweet little crooked piggy tail! She is about 40 pounds of cuddly love. She was adopted as a young pup from a shelter in Sunnyvale, TX, where she had some injuries to her tail and back leg. Thankfully, both are all healed up now, but they still have a unique look! She is up to date on all vaccines and is microchipped. Konaâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s energy level fluctuates between zoomies in the backyard and passed out on the couch, and not much in between! Her biggest excitement comes from seeing the people she loves, but her favorite place is on the couch with some comfy blankets, where she would spend most of the day if she could. Add a chew toy, and she would be in heaven! She likes other dogs after a warming up period and has been living happily with another dog. She adores her humans too, but she might need a little time to get over her shyness. She would be happiest in a home without cats or small children. While she would love to have an owner who works from home to keep her company while she naps on the couch all day, she is crate trained and is currently sleeping in her crate at night (though she would love to take up space on someoneâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s bed!). She loves end of day snuggles laying between your legs on a blanket and watching tv. She is food motivated and knows the word â&#194&#128&#194&#156sitâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 as well as her name. Kona is quite a homebody and not the biggest fan of walks, but if it means making you happy, she will go! She is being rehomed through no fault of her own. Kona has become very stressed in a home with a baby, and would prefer to be the baby of the house herself. While she has some mild seasonal allergies, her chronic stress has taken a toll on her skin â&#194&#128&#194&#148 and while she acclimates to a more calm environment, she may need some special skincare! This sweet, goofy girl has so much love to give and deserves a home where she can relax and curl up on the couch in peace! Story
Meet Sharae Jo aka Dora the explorer. She is 9 months, weighing 28 lbs., boxer mix with a vibrant fawn coat. Sharae was rescued under a church with her five siblings and her mother at just a few weeks old. Sharae is a very energetic, loving and a very independent pup who loves to explore all of her surroundings. Sharae is very shy with other dogs, but warms up once getting to know them. She has not been around cats. She currently resides with her mom, two siblings and a Lab. Sharae loves water especially playing in her puppy pool. She is one smart pup! She loves a good car ride and loves the outdoors. An ideal home for Sharae would be one that is safe and comfortable where she will receive plenty of love, affection and training. Because she is a pup, would love to put her in an environment with a family that has children, if possible.l, but not required. Sharae is partially crate trained with no issues sleeping or playing in one. However, she does not potty inside, as she will bark to inform you when she needs to go. Sharae will need continued training on a leash and basic commands. Sharae has received the following vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP. She is microchipped and will be spayed on 06/17/2025. Reason for rehoming: Sharae is currently under temporary care by her rescue family who are unable to keep her permanently. This happy-go-lucky pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Story
Meet this playful pup, Sheldon Duke. He is 9 months, weighing 29 lbs., boxer mix with a smooth white coat, unique spots, and floppy ears. Sheldon was rescued under a church with his five siblings and his mother at just a few weeks old. Sheldon is a very energetic, and affectionate pup who loves to cuddle and looks forward to daily belly rubs. Sheldon gets along with dogs, has not been around cats. He currently lives with his mom, two siblings and a Lab. Sheldon loves to use toys to attract other dogs to play with him. An ideal home for Sheldon would be one that is safe and comfortable where he will receive plenty of love, affection and training. He is one intelligent pup! He loves a good car ride and loves the outdoors. Because he is a pup, would love to put him in an environment with a family that has children, if possible, but not required. Sheldon is partially crate trained with no issues sleeping or playing in one. However, he does not potty inside as he will bark to inform you if he needs to go. Sheldon will need continued training on a leash and basic commands. Sheldon has received the following vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP. He is microchipped and will be neutered on 06/17/2025. Reason for rehoming: Sheldon is currently under temporary care by his rescue family who are unable to keep him permanently. This bubbly pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. ** Please read to the end to learn how to adopt! Gus is an adorable and affectionate Boxer mix who is eager to find his forever home.  He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him!   He is an intelligent dog who is good with other dogs and is loyal to those around him. This handsome boy has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and tested Negative for heartworms!!   He was about 62 pounds when rescued from the streets, and he is still thin.  We believe he is approximately 2 years old, maybe less.  He sometimes still urinates like a puppy and he's so curious about Everything... sneaks up on anything unfamiliar.  It's so cute to watch! Gus is house-trained and he knows 'sit.'  He takes treats very gently from your hand and will give you big kisses in return.  He's playful, but will chill with you on the couch, too ! He is good with other dogs and children.  He's an all-around great dog and has many years ahead to fill your life with love and fun!   If you're looking for a sweet and friendly dog, Gus is the one for you!    Please apply to Foster OR Adopt Brady by completing the online application you will find near his photos on our website,  www.BaytownHumaneSociety.org

She is working on basic commands and walks well on a leash. Honey is truly just the happiest dog you could hope to meet and loves to play! Age: 10 months Weight: 30 lbs  Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids:  Yes Activity level: Medium Shedding: Medium Vocal level: Medium Training: Doggy door, crate, almost potty trained Charlie (AKA Sausage) was part of the Breakfast Club litter, 5 puppies found living under a mobile home in West Dallas. After a long day, they were all caught and taken to their foster homes. Silly Charlie was the first puppy caught, since his hiding place behind a broom didn't work out too well.  He arrived dirty, flea ridden, and scared. After months of good food, good care, and love, he is  happy, roly-poly, playful, and ready to find his forever home!  Charlie loves to play with his doggy foster siblings and cuddling with his foster mom! He is still shy around new people, but is working on his socialization! He has had all of his puppy shots, has been microchipped, is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and will be neutered soon! Story
Meet Harley Quinn, AKA Harley. She is a beautiful brindle pit bull around 9 years young. She weighs around 63lbs. After years of having Harley, her father decided not to keep her because she did not get along with his girlfriendâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s dog. Harleyâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s mom is not able to keep her due to silly HOA regulations, and Harley is currently in hiding there. Harley is a mid-level energy Canine-American who loves to go for walks, car rides and lots and lots of cuddles. She bonds with her humans strongly, but needs to be a single pet. She prefers not to share her humans with another cat or dog, but in return promises to love you with her might and make you her whole world. A perfect home for Har-Har will be with patient dog lover in a small child-free and cat/dog-free home. Harley is trained with a doggie door. That is the only thing she asks for. Harley loves to go on walks, but must be harnessed . She is one smart girl! This sweet pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you?
