WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾🥧 Well hello y'all — I’m Moon Pie! 🥧🐾 (2 Years • 70 lbs • Male • Big Goof Energy Included) Yep, Moon Pie — like the sweet treat and like Sheldon’s Meemaw calls him on The Big Bang Theory. Because when you’re this lovable, wiggly, and impossible not to adore, you deserve a name that sounds like a hug. And let me tell you… I am a hug in dog form. I’m a big, lanky, floppy, happy boy with a giant heart and zero shame about belly rubs. I will dramatically roll over, squirm, wiggle, and grin while you rub my belly like it’s my full-time job (spoiler: it is). My foster dad calls me a total goof — and honestly, I take that as a compliment. I’m fully house trained (very proud of this accomplishment) and I’m doggie-door certified. If the door is ever locked, I politely wait like the gentleman I am instead of panicking or causing chaos. On walks, I usually stroll along nicely on a loose leash… unless a squirrel appears, or a potential new friend crosses my path, in which case I briefly but only briefly, forget my professionalism 😅 🐾 Moon Pie’s Fun Facts & Credentials: ✔️ House trained & crate trained (I relax quietly when you leave) ✔️ Uses the dog door like a pro ✔️ Walks well on leash — excitement moments included ✔️ Quiet at home — not much of a barker ✔️ Loves toys and can entertain himself like a one-dog circus ✔️ Knows “sit” and “stay” and takes treats gently ✔️ Super smart, eager to learn, and very trainable I’ve lived with a senior dog and we got along great — though I’ll admit, sometimes I forget not everyone wants to play as much as I do. I’d love a dog buddy who enjoys some playtime or a human who’s happy to help me keep polishing my manners. I really want to be the best boy. Oh — and if you’re into running or biking? Congratulations, you’ve just found your new workout partner. I love keeping pace and cruising alongside you like it’s no big deal. At the end of the day, I’m sweet, affectionate, goofy, active, and full of potential. I’m the kind of dog who brings laughter to your yard, calm to your home, and loyalty to your heart. If you’re looking for a loving, slightly ridiculous, incredibly charming companion with sweetness galore and is Meemaw-level approval… I think we might be a perfect match. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and bring home Moon Pie — the snack-sized name with the full-sized heart. 🖤🤍🥧🐾

Story
Animal Information: Bear is an estimated 3.5 months old (DOB 11/6/2025) male large mixed breed -- we could see boxer, rottie, bully breed, even some black mouth cur, ridgeback or shephered! Whatever he is, he is adorable, biddable and very smart. This little pup is confident, resilient, and takes everything in stride. He is social and playful with friendly dogs and respectful of grumpy dogs with strong boundaries. He eats in the crate, sleeps in the crate through the night, and has had no accidents in the crate: a great start! He's getting the hang of potty training and should be good to go with such a few days of consistency (he's a super quick learner!) He loves to play with toys, and especially likes tug! Promising toy drive, AND pack drive! Also, food motivated. A motivated owner's dream! He picked up "Sit" in about one minute, and happily follows a person around even without a leash! His most annoying quality is that he gets underfoot. He's not vocal or demanding, and while he loves to cuddle (after a vigorous play session) he doesn't exhibit separation anxiety. He is currently fostered with several large dogs and three young kids (ages 2-6) and he's super playful with them. He does have razor sharp puppy teeth and while he's learning the rules any kids would most certainly be scratched or nipped and so, while we won't say "NO KIDS" this will very much depend on the kids (and parents) comfort level with puppy behaviors. This experienced foster's educated opinion is that Bear has all the stuff to be a confident, social and friendly dog with other dogs and people; he has not been formally tested with cats but based on  his "look"  suspect that couuld be tricky. He's a really fun dog and is going to make someone a really nice buddy.  Animal Information: Bear is an estimated 10-week-old (DOB 11/6/2025) male, large mixed-breed puppy. We see hints of boxer, rottie, bully breed, black mouth cur, ridgeback, or shepherd. Whatever the mix, he’s undeniably adorable, biddable, and very smart. Bear is confident, resilient, and takes new experiences in stride. He’s social and playful with friendly dogs and respectfully backs off from grumpy ones with clear boundaries. He’s off to a fantastic start with training: Bear eats and sleeps in his crate through the night with no accidents and is quickly picking up potty training with a little consistency. He loves toys - especially tug - and shows promising toy drive, strong pack drive, and he’s very food motivated (a trainer’s dream!). He learned “sit” in about a minute and happily follows his person around, even off leash; leash-training is going well, too! His most annoying quality? He tends to be underfoot (which can be stressful given how little he is compared to the other dogs in his foster home!) Even so, he’s not vocal or overly demanding and shows no signs of separation anxiety. Bear loves to play but crashes hard too. After a vigorous play session, he enjoys cuddling or snoozing four-legs-up in his crate. Bear is currently fostered with several large dogs and three young kids (ages 2-6) and is playful and friendly with them. Like all puppies, he has razor-sharp teeth and is still learning appropriate mouth manners, so placement with kids will depend on their (and their parents’) comfort level with normal puppy nips and scratches. He hasn’t been tested with cats, and given his possible breed mix, that may be a challenge. Overall, his foster believes Bear has all the ingredients to grow into a confident, social, friendly companion, and he’s going to make someone a really great buddy. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Bear was surrendered surrendered to our rescue by someone who had purchased on Craigslist two days earlier. We have been in communications with the Craigslist Seller and have some basic background on him. He is currently fostered in Bothell and available for adoption to the greater Seattle area.April 10, 2026, 4:02 pm

Story
Meet Indy! She is a 56-pound Boxer/Lab mix who thinks she’s a lap dog. She’s an exuberant and playful 10 years old. She’s friendly towards dogs, and she adores people, including children—but beware her enthusiasm for licking faces within reach! Upon meeting her, everyone comments on her incredibly soft coat, her tiger stripes, and especially her joy. She rarely stops wagging her tail. Even while getting her nails ground, it’s wag, wag, wag. Indy is housebroken, treat-motivated, and obedient. She will wait for your “okay” when you set her food dish on the floor. She’s responsive to sit, lie down, stay, and come, even off leash outdoors. She loves to play hide and seek. Her sense of smell isn’t strong, so you’ll need to hide where she can find you by looking. She’s okay staying home alone, but she would much rather be with you and will await your return just inside the door. It would truly be a waste of this dog’s joy to keep her home alone very often. She can be trusted to lie quietly at your feet at public talks, church services, and other events. And she’s thrilled to meet as many people as possible afterward. Wag, wag, wag. At home, Indy will chill while you work at the computer. But a sedentary household is not the place for her. Her foster mom walks her frequently to help keep her limber. Indy currently has a limp from a dog bite prior to her arrival at Forever Home, but that doesn’t stop her from walking 3 or 4 miles a day, even running short distances, exploring the beach, and camping. She would love to chase squirrels and bunnies, but she doesn’t pull at the leash. She’s eager to ride in cars and uses a dog ramp when exiting to minimize stress on her leg. Indy would thrive in a family with multiple people to love and engage her. But she will also do well in a single household if provided with daily opportunities to expand her world. Her foster mom has been filling that need by hosting parties, arranging play dates with other dogs, taking Indy to events with lots of people, and going on frequent field trips to pet stores. Wag, wag, wag. Indy is fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $300.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED FOR ONE OF OUR LONG-TIMERS! Cody has been waiting for his forever family with us for 6 YEARS! He is such a sweet boy, and deserves to spend his golden years in a warm and loving home. Cody is a 8-9 year old, 60lb, Boxer/Shepherd mix. He is sweet and has lots of love to give, despite a rough beginning. He bonds deeply to his people and loves attention and affection. He is smart, enjoys treats and is glad to work for them! He will thrive in a home that can provide continued training and structure. He still has quite a bit of energy for an older pup and would love a home that will take him on walks to explore, and better yet, a home with his own fenced yard to run and play! He is looking for a home that is adult only or with kids over the age of 10 as he can be a bit jumpy when excited. Cody can do well with other dogs but it is always best to do proper introductions to make sure it is a good match and that all parties 'mesh'. Cody is UTD on shots, is microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $350.

Story
Meet Abby! This beautiful 8-month-old, 33-pound princess is truly the most adorable and cute little girl you'll ever meet. She is a little survivor of 12, her mom was abandoned and at one day old, Abby and her 11 siblings were left in a box in the middle of nowhere with no shade. When we came for them after receiving a report from a neighbor of the owner, there were only 5 babies left alive, and we found the rest already dead inside a plastic bag with a knot in it. Abby grew up happy with her litter, they are very active and loving little ones. She is learning to walk on her leash, lives well with dogs and cats and is the most chubby of her litter. She is the smiliest and is very intelligent. It would be ideal for her to grow up in a home with children, she likes walks and although she is a little shy at first, she usually comes out of her shell quickly. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washignton. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
This is my pup Laxus, I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old, he is now an almost 2 year old pitbull who needs a loving home that can accommodate to his needs. Unfortunately he is not good with children, and I am pregnant and cannot put my soon to be child at risk. Other than being reactive towards kids and dogs, he is great with people once he warms up to you. His favorite place to snuggle is your lap. He would benefit most from living in a home with a backyard so he can run and play. He is a sweet, silly guy who loves attention and pets. He loves his chew toys as well.

Story
Animal Profile: Skillet was adopted from DGS in March of 2025 and is a 2.5-year-old bully breed mix with a big heart and even bigger enthusiasm for life. She’s friendly with people and absolutely loves to play, but her joyful, ruff-and-tumble play style can be a bit much for more reserved dogs. Unfortunately, this has made it difficult for her to thrive in her current home, as the resident dog is uncomfortable with her exuberance. With additional family moving in with cats (which Skillet is not compatible with), the difficult decision was made to rehome her so she can have her needs fully met. Skillet has foundational training and is both house-trained and crate-trained. She recently underwent TPLO surgery and is recovering beautifully. While she would happily play with every dog she meets, Skillet has that classic “bull in a china shop” body awareness and her playful style isn’t for everyone! Because of this, she would do best with a bully-breed-savvy family, either as an only dog or with a well-matched, balanced dog. Skillet has not lived with children, but due to her high energy and enthusiasm, we recommend a home with older kids only. With the right environment, guidance, and understanding, Skillet will make a fun, loving, and loyal companion. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fees benefit all the animals in our rescue, and may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 non-profit organization. She was resisted for adoption in January of 2026. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 7, 2026, 12:47 pm
