Story
Meet Firecracker, a spirited kitten whose name is a reflection of her fiery personality. Firecracker's zest for life sometimes leads to overstimulation. When feeling overwhelmed, she may back away, hiss, and swat. If these cues are not respected, she may become defensive and bite. With time and patience, she transforms into a loving companion. Once a trusting bond has been established, her loving and tender side is revealed as she cuddles up next to you. Given her spirited nature, Firecracker requires a home environment that understands and accommodates her needs. This means she's best suited to households with no one under the age of 18, as younger family members may inadvertently overwhelm her. In the right setting, Firecracker has shown a remarkable ability to get along with both dogs and cats, given some time for acclimation. She thrives in the company of other friendly, social cats, as they serve as good role-models and bring out the best in her. Firecracker's journey reminds us of the importance of kindness and empathy. With the right understanding and a supportive environment, she'll shine as a loyal and affectionate companion. If you're ready to provide the love and care that Firecracker needs, please call HALO at 602-971-9222 and speak with one of our adoption counselors.

Story
Isn't this kitty a beauty?! Meet Jewel! Jewel is a five-year-old grey Domestic Long-hair. She came to the shelter with two other cats, when their former owner lost their home and was no longer able to care for the pets. Jewel's former owner reports that she is great with people and fine with other cats. Jewel certainly lives up to her name of being a gem of a kitty. She is social and approached us right away for pets and attention. She enjoys exploring the free-roam cat room, climbing high up and checking out all the cubbies. She even enjoys a little bat and swat game with the feather toy. Friendly, playful and social- what more could you ask for in a feline friend?! Jewel is currently hanging out at the PetsMart at Tatum & Shea Blvd., Phx. You can visit her during business hours, and call 602-971-1334 for an adoption appointment at Home Fur Good rescue. Jewel is listed at five-years-old and weighs approximately eight pounds. Her adoption fee is $85. All Home Fur Good cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, vaccinated appropriate for their age, tested for FIV/FELV and vet checked. Home Fur Good Animal Rescue is located at 10220 North 32nd Street, just south of Shea Blvd in Phoenix.

Story
Effie is a beautiful senior gal, at almost 13 years young. She has gorgeous long locks with highlights and lowlights and all sorts of dimension. Girl looks like she has a salon day, every day (lucky lady)! Effie is a friendly feline who enjoys pets from her human friends. She spends her days in the free-roam cat room lounging in a high-up cubby and taking a cat nap. She doesn't seem to mind if another cat filters in to say hello or see how her snooze is coming along. She could potentially do well with your cat(s) at home too. Effie was originally adopted from Home Fur Good over three years ago, but her owner became ill and was no longer able to care for her. If you're looking for a mellow and easy-going companion cat, meet Effie! Effie is currently hanging out at the PetsMart at Tatum & Shea Blvd., Phx. You can visit her during PetsMart business hours, and call 602-971-1334 for an adoption appointment through Home Fur Good. Effie is listed at 12 years, nine-months old and weighs approximately 11 pounds. She is front declawed. The adoption fee for Effie is $85 and includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, deworming and a free wellness visit with our vet within two weeks of the adoption date. Home Fur Good is located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix.
