Story
Cezanne is a beautiful long haired black kitty who is about 5 years old.  Cezanne came into the rescue from a hoarding situation where she and over 100 other cats were all living in a single-family residence. She had been living in this situation for a number of years, possibly since she was a kitten.  She was malnourished and undersocialized when she came into the rescue.  With care and patience she has attained the appropriate weight and learned to accept love and pets, though she still is a little shy.  Changes in environment are scary to her, so upon her arrival in a new home she will need patience and gentleness while she acclimates and grows to understand that she will be safe and cared for. She does well with other cats after a proper introduction, but it is unknown how she does with dogs. Because of her difficult life experiences it is thought that she would not be a good fit in a home with very small children.   This little lady has had a hard life and is looking for someone with patience and understanding that will keep her safe and love her for the rest of her life, and in return she will give you her heart.  Her adoption fee is $80. Story
****Pearl is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her please email Wendi.calder@foothillsanimal.org to arrange a meeting with the foster and learn all about Pearl. Thank you****Hi there curious reader! My name is Pearl. Since my cute appearance drew you in, I'd like for you to get to know a bit about me. To start, a few months ago I had some really cute kittens..... The humans call them Lenny and Louie. I'm a great mommy and I give my babies lots of kisses and cuddles but I also LOVE my, "Pearl time." When I'm not cuddling with my boys, I like to check in with my foster humans and other kitty roommates. My favorite activity with my furry friends is hunting birds from the window. We can spend what feels like hours watching the birdies and stalking them from inside. When the humans give me hugs and head scratches I feel so happy and loved. I just want to be held by my humans and get all the kisses. But, if you try to hold me while it's play time I'll probably be too distracted, so grab a rope toy and swing it around a bit for me. I also really like playing on my own with my plush toys and batting them around the house. The more toys the better. I like having my options. If you're considering making me a part of your family there are a few things you should know. My love language is wet food. I will eat dry food but I prefer the canned stuff. Sometimes when I'm playing with the humans I get a little too excited and I nibble on their hands. While I do this pretty gently and it's all in good fun, it could scare a small human, so I'm not so sure I should live with one. I REALLY like having other kitties around to talk to and play with. I don't think I'd like living with a family that doesn't have any other kitties! If you want to know anything else about me contact Wendi.Calder@foothillsanimal.org so they can put you in contact with my foster mom, Alissa. She'd love to tell you all about me and how special I am!

Layla, born approximately 3/8/2019 is a sweet girl, who loves attention from her humans. Don’t let her grumpy face fool you- she’s very sweet and gentle.  She is extremely shy at first and is slow to seek attention but once she gets pets she will tell you in a very small meow that she appreciates the attention.  She gets a long great with Cats and dogs after a proper introduction.  She was adopted once before and recently came back to us when her adopters circumstances changed and through no fault of her own she is looking for a forever home again.  She is Spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Her adoption fee is $80.July 26, 2024, 4:45 pm

Hi, my name is Dump Truck. Don’t let my tough sounding name fool you, I’m a dainty lady but I love to romp with my kitty siblings.  I can tolerate the smelly dogs if I have to.  I love love love me some human attention.  I snuggle up a storm with my humans and melt like butter into their laps.  I have a lot of energy and I will for years to come, so I need to have a buddy to play with of the feline variety.  My brother Cop Car and I are the last ones from our litter that haven’t been adopted, and we really want to be adopted together.  I am spayed, negative for FIV and FeLV, vaccinated, and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $300. July 26, 2024, 4:45 pm

Story
Dakota is a long-haired grey and white tuxedo sweetheart, who will swipe a treat right out from under anyone if given the chance. She is a sweet, shy, gentle, and reserved cat who enjoys the quiet life, and would love a forever home with other relaxed kitties or alone so long as she has a view with a window, and plenty of pillowy hiding spots around the house. She loves being talked to, playing with string or feathers, and sunbaths by the window. Dakota needs an extra special human who understands that she eats a special diet, and may be slow to open up. Found in a drainage pipe with two kittens covered in mud and with most of her teeth removed later due to dental disease (cured now), Dakota has fought very hard for her place in the world and would love to share it with you.

Story
Stevie Budd is a super sweet girl that we took in from a horrible hoarding situation. She is a bit shy but with time will be a great addition to any home.  She is very food motivated, she loves her dry kibble and is used to getting wet food two times a day in her foster home. She has come a long way. Stevie Budd is good with other kitties after proper introductions. We do not know of any prior exposure to dogs so a slow introduction is recommended. Stevie is tested, spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. Her estimated birth date is 4/30/2015 and her adoption fee is $100.July 26, 2024, 11:59 am

Story
Abandoned near a west valley roofing company, this handsome never-feral long-haired brown tabby was dedicated to surviving. Never-before neutered, although he has been now, Bandit’s name came from his dedication to mating with any visible female. This loving senior also chose to groom himself amidst his tarnished environment. Bandit’s health issues have been corrected, with one exception: feline aids (FIV+). Bandit head butts. He plays with a ribbon dangling toy. Comb outs with a brush as well as a comb are enjoyed. His bathroom habits are superb! Bandit is microchipped, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, and recently enjoyed a dental. Looking for a loving companion as an only cat, please meet marvelous Bandit. estimated birth date is 12/18/2013 and his adoption fee is $100.July 26, 2024, 11:59 am

Story
de Oro (of gold) was taped into a cardboard box and left outside an office. He is very shy, but totally sweet-natured ... in no way aggressive. Having said that, he behaves almost feral if you try to pick him up. He is beautiful and has amazingly soft hair and purrs whenever he is pet ... loves the attention ... but is still working on coming out for attention. He is 5-7 years old. Like most rescues, we don't believe he is a purebred anything, but he is so non-aggressive, so soft and has tufts of white coming out of his ears ... like a small Maine Coon. He has white at his throat. He keeps getting prettier and rubs against my legs when feeling confident.. He loves to be around the other non-aggressive cats, but won't defend food against the aggressive ones. On the other hand, he loves Fancy Feast!. We consider de Oro a "project" since we expect him to continue getting prettier and more loving ... but have no idea how long that will take. It won't happen in rescue with other cats.
