Story
Dakota is a long-haired grey and white tuxedo sweetheart, who will swipe a treat right out from under anyone if given the chance. She is a sweet, shy, gentle, and reserved cat who enjoys the quiet life, and would love a forever home with other relaxed kitties or alone so long as she has a view with a window, and plenty of pillowy hiding spots around the house. She loves being talked to, playing with string or feathers, and sunbaths by the window. Dakota needs an extra special human who understands that she eats a special diet, and may be slow to open up. Found in a drainage pipe with two kittens covered in mud and with most of her teeth removed later due to dental disease (cured now), Dakota has fought very hard for her place in the world and would love to share it with you.

Story
**Bonded with Phoenix and must be adopted together!!** Penelope, born 7/19/19 (best estimate) got her  name because she reminds her foster of Pepe Le Pew’s elusive beautiful girlfriend, Penelope.  Penelope, along with Phoenix, was rescued from a hoarding house in summer 2023. 102 cats, including Penelope and Phoenix, were all living in a single family residence.  All of the cats in the hoarding situation were in varying states of ill health. Penelope was malnourished and thin, undersocialized and very frightened.  It is likely that she came into the situation as a kitten, and until she was rescued, she knew no one other than the person living in the residence.  Understandably frightened and skittish, Penelope  embarked on the journey to her new life through Kneading Kitty’s Rescue.  With the help of her incredibly patient and loving foster, this beautiful kit is learning to love and accept love and slowly learning to trust. Penelope, or Pene for short , is a morning girl and can be found playing with her toys like a happy human toddler.   Her favorite toys are soft Pom Pom balls and she can often be found holding one between her paws.  She loves to watch the world outside from a good window view. Her favorite napping spot is on her foster mom’s bed. She does like pets but is still skittish and needs a slow approach from people, and will often observe from afar the interactions between Phoenix and her foster mom.  Both Pene and Phoenix get along well with the other cats in the fosters household, and both are very tidy kitties who consistently use the litterbox. Given Phoenix and Penelope’s background they will need an understanding cat experienced adopter who is patient and willing to give the time needed to adjust to a new environment.  Since he and Penelope came out of the same situation and have been fostered together, they have become very bonded and must be adopted together.  A quiet calm home is a must, and we do not believe they will do well in a home with young children.  These beautiful cats have seen the worst side of humans but have only begun to experience the better side, where humans display love, compassion and care.  They are ready to continue their journey with someone who will love and care for them and continue to show them how wonderful life with humans can be.   Phoenix is neutered (Penelope is spayed), and both are up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped.  Adoption fee for both is $100.  March 2, 2024, 9:16 pm

Story
**Bonded with Penelope and must be adopted together! ** Phoenix, born 7/17/21 (best estimate) got his name because he definitely rose from the ashes of his old life.  Phoenix and Penelope were rescued from a hoarding house with 102 cats.  All of the cats in the hoarding situation were in varying states of ill health. Phoenix was malnourished and thin, under socialized and very frightened.  It is likely that he came into the situation as a kitten, and until he was rescued, he knew no one other than the person living in the residence.  Understandably frightened and skittish, Phoenix embarked on the journey to his new life through Kneading Kitty’s Rescue.  With the help of his incredibly patient and loving foster, this beautiful boy learned to love and trust again.  Phoenix favorite time is in the morning when his foster mom sits on the floor and he comes for pets and snuggles.  He also gets treats and sweet talk which he rewards with powerful purring.  If treats and snuggle time are late he will talk about it.  Phoenix enjoys chasing a laser pointer and rises quickly like The Phoenix he is named for. He has an adorable tigger-like bounce when he’s playful.  Phoenix also enjoys watching TV. Both Phoenix and Penelope get along well with the other cats in their fosters home, and are very tidy and always use the litterbox.   Given Phoenix and Penelope’s background they will need an understanding, cat-experienced adopter who is patient and willing to give the time needed to adjust to a new environment.  Since he and Penelope came out of the same situation and have been fostered together, they have become very bonded and must be adopted together.  A quiet calm home is a must, and we do not believe they will do well in a home with young children.  Phoenix is neutered (Penelope is spayed), and both are up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped.  Adoption fee for both is $100.March 2, 2024, 9:16 pm

Story
My name is Gordy.  I was born approximately 4/28/2022. I’m told I have a grumpy face that makes people hesitate to pet me.  I hope that’s not true because I love pets.  I am a very gentle soul, a little timid with new people and environments, but I am a lover boy.  When you’re petting me and say my name and make kissing sounds, I’ll put a paw in your shoulder and touch my face to your cheek. I have a playful side too and love feathered toys.  I’m easy to have around, I keep myself tidy, and always use the litter box.  I’m not demanding, but I welcome attention, and I’m always ready to give affection.  I like having a soft place to curl up in, like a kitty hut, and I watch the world from my hut. I’ve been around kids and do fine with them, although I’ve never been around very small children.  I get along ok with mellow cats and dogs after a proper introduction.  I came into the rescue as a kitten, and I was adopted but my adopter had to return me due to circumstances out of her control. So here I am looking for a forever home again.  I just want someone to love - it could be you!  I am neutered, current on vaccines, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and microchipped. My adoption fee is $80. March 2, 2024, 9:16 pm

Story
Cezanne is a beautiful long haired black kitty who is about 5 years old.  Cezanne came into the rescue from a hoarding situation where she and over 100 other cats were all living in a single-family residence. She had been living in this situation for a number of years, possibly since she was a kitten.  She was malnourished and undersocialized when she came into the rescue.  With care and patience she has attained the appropriate weight and learned to accept love and pets, though she still is a little shy.  Changes in environment are scary to her, so upon her arrival in a new home she will need patience and gentleness while she acclimates and grows to understand that she will be safe and cared for. She does well with other cats after a proper introduction, but it is unknown how she does with dogs. Because of her difficult life experiences it is thought that she would not be a good fit in a home with very small children.   This little lady has had a hard life and is looking for someone with patience and understanding that will keep her safe and love her for the rest of her life, and in return she will give you her heart.  Her adoption fee is $80. Story
Abandoned near a west valley roofing company, this handsome never-feral long-haired brown tabby was dedicated to surviving. Never-before neutered, although he has been now, Bandit’s name came from his dedication to mating with any visible female. This loving senior also chose to groom himself amidst his tarnished environment. Bandit’s health issues have been corrected, with one exception: feline aids (FIV+). Bandit head butts. He plays with a ribbon dangling toy. Comb outs with a brush as well as a comb are enjoyed. His bathroom habits are superb! Bandit is microchipped, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, and recently enjoyed a dental. Looking for a loving companion as an only cat, please meet marvelous Bandit. estimated birth date is 12/18/2013 and his adoption fee is $100.March 2, 2024, 9:38 pm

Story
Stevie Budd is a super sweet girl that we took in from a horrible hoarding situation. She is a bit shy but with time will be a great addition to any home.  She is very food motivated, she loves her dry kibble and is used to getting wet food two times a day in her foster home. She has come a long way. Stevie Budd is good with other kitties after proper introductions. We do not know of any prior exposure to dogs so a slow introduction is recommended. Stevie is tested, spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. Her estimated birth date is 4/30/2015 and her adoption fee is $100.March 2, 2024, 9:38 pm

When she came into the rescue she was covered in plaque like crust all over her face. We thought ringworm but nope, is was just pemphigus, a non contagious issue we can share how to deal with. This is no reason to not adopt her. Once she cleared up she now looks like the beauty you see before you! She LOVES cars and dogs and is generally a wonderful friend. She really enjoys belly rubs too! Dob is est st 5/23. Adoption fee $150. Compassion In Action! March 2, 2024, 2:57 pm

Story
de Oro (of gold) was taped into a cardboard box and left outside an office. He is very shy, but totally sweet-natured ... in no way aggressive. Having said that, he behaves almost feral if you try to pick him up. He is beautiful and has amazingly soft hair and purrs whenever he is pet ... loves the attention ... but is still working on coming out for attention. He is 5-7 years old. Like most rescues, we don't believe he is a purebred anything, but he is so non-aggressive, so soft and has tufts of white coming out of his ears ... like a small Maine Coon. He has white at his throat. He keeps getting prettier and rubs against my legs when feeling confident.. He loves to be around the other non-aggressive cats, but won't defend food against the aggressive ones. On the other hand, he loves Fancy Feast!. We consider de Oro a "project" since we expect him to continue getting prettier and more loving ... but have no idea how long that will take. It won't happen in rescue with other cats. Story
Pickles is a playful, inquisitive, and curious Maine Coon who has been the companion to a now 12 year old girl since he was born in 2017. He spent the first part of his life in Missouri as an indoor / outdoor cat, but we recently relocated to Phoenix and now he's stuck in a small apartment. He would be happiest in an environment where he could have some outdoor space.
