Story
Tiana is a very sweet and loving cat. She is a DLH calico with soft fur. She loves to be picked up and held and will put her arms around a person's neck. She is super affectionate and loves people and craves human attention. She is also playful and especially enjoys playing with interactive toys like the Cat Dancer. She makes a unique sound like a frog croaking, so she's named after Tiana in Disney's, The Princess and the Frog. She gets along wonderfully with other cats and loves playing and snuggling with her BFF, Pekoe. If you're looking for 2 kitties, these two are amazing together and have become very bonded. Pekoe keeps Tiana entertained and they play hide and seek and trill all over their foster home looking for each other. When she finds Pekoe, she licks him on the face and then lays down next to him. They are good companions for each other and do much better together than apart. Tiana does have FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but it’s not a big deal! With proper care, FIV-positive cats like Tiana can live long, healthy, and happy lives. What you need to know about FIV: FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus: It’s a slow-acting virus that can weaken a cat’s immune system over time, making them more susceptible to infections. How it’s transmitted: FIV is spread through deep bite wounds between cats. Casual contact like grooming, sharing food bowls, or playing does not spread the virus so Tiana can safely live with other friendly cats after proper introductions. FIV doesn’t spread to humans, dogs, or other non-feline pets. Lifespan: With regular vet care and a stable, indoor environment, FIV-positive cats like Tiana can live as long as FIV-negative cats. Symptoms: Many FIV-positive cats show no symptoms for years. When properly cared for, they often live healthy, normal lives. Care requirements: Keep Tiana indoors to reduce exposure to potential infections, feed her a high-quality diet, and schedule regular veterinary check-ups to monitor her health. Tiana is ready to be your sweet lap cat and fill your life with purrs and love. Are you ready to give this amazing girl the forever home she deserves? Come meet Tiana today—you’ll fall in love instantly! Approx. DOB: 3/10/21 If you would like to meet Tiana, please go to https://hart-az.org/hart-cats and fill out an application. If approved, we will contact you to set up a time for a meet and greet.

Was found outside the door, so we took him in, but could never afford much for him. Hes extremely sweet, but even if we could afford him, my wife is allergic to cats. I love him so much, and he's never been outside since being a little kitten at our door, and has only been in contact with healthy vaccinated animals.

Story
Marmalade came to us from a hoarding situation. He is one of over 16+ kitties. He loves to hide. He was in a home with other cats and dogs, but they were left to fend for themselves for over 2 weeks, since their mommy became homeless. He is a little stressed right now and will need a safe loving home to decompress in. He has been with us for a little over a week now. The adoption fee is small just to recover his neuter. He has interacted with our 6 year old grand daughter so I think he would be good with kids, but hadn't had exposure before to my knowledge. He was recently neutered and it was estimated that he is 3 years old and almost 7 pounds. He has been with Butters since he joined our family. I would love for them to go together, but not required.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tommy is a bit of a troublemaker. He doesn't play well with all cats. He's selective and prefers female cats.   Tommy is also an amazing escape artist, and we want him to be an indoor cat, so it will take a  diligent owner to make sure he doesn't run away. He is a very sweet boy, though, and will sit on your lap for pets, and he also loves to play with toys.  He needs an experienced owner because if he is messed with too much, he will fight back. Things like getting him into a carrier and relocating him by picking him up can be hard if you don't handle him calmly and quietly. Tommy deserves a home of his own. I believe the right person is out there for this handsome boy! He is neutered, vaccinated, tested negative to felv/fiv, and microchipped. Please fill out an application on the website of you would like to meet him.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 4:02 pm

Story
Greetings! I am an 8 1/2 year old, stunning princess who is extremely loving. I am quite the conversationalist and I have the most distinctive meow - a precious squeak, really - that will melt your heart. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes, but please don't let that deter you from considering me! My condition is relatively easy to manage, so please ask our adoption counselors about the insulin I receive twice a day. As I mentioned earlier, I am very interactive and will engage in conversation with you whenever you enter the room. I love to receive pets and will return your affection with gentle head bunts. I enjoy chasing the laser toy, playing with cat nip toys, and stalking the bird wand toy. What I love the most though, is lounging with you. I am a very chill kitty who cannot wait to be the queen of your castle! Everyone who knows me at the adoption center says that I'm a special girl with a beautiful soul. I hope that when we meet, you will feel the same way so we can become soulmates! No appointments are necessary and you can come see us anytime we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our cats to fill out a consultation form - this form helps us determine if the cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo without knowing the personality of the cat. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL cats are available to the first potential adopter who we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a - 2p, Wednesday 3p - 7p, Thursday 3p - 7p, Friday 10a - 2p, Saturday 10a - 4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Duchess came to us when her owner passed away and we were asked to help. Duchess is a shy girl that takes a while to adjust to new situations and environments. Once she feels comfortable though, she will open up and show you that she is a sweet and gentle kitty that also has a playful side. She's a sucker for the wand toy and loves to follow it around and attack it. Duchess has thick, lush fur so she will require regular grooming but it won't seem like a task because she does enjoy attention from her humans. An ideal home for Duchess will be a quiet and predictable one with a family that has experience with and understands shy cats. She will need someone that will be patient and allow her to acclimate to her new home at her own pace. If you think you might be the family Duchess is looking for, stop by our adoption center to meet her.No appointments are necessary and you can come see us anytime we are open. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello there, I'm Bourbon. I have a heart as warm as the drink I'm named after. I'm a mellow fellow who enjoys the simple pleasures of life. My favorite pastime is watching the world go by from a cozy window perch. I'm friendly and gentle, but I also value my independence. I'm loyal to those who earn my trust. I've been diagnosed with FIV, but don't let that scare you. It doesn't define me. I'm still the same loving cat, full of life and ready to share it with someone special. I have become bonded to my bestie Prince, we do everything together and help each other manage this world that can be a little scary! Adopt us, and you'll have loyal friends for life. FIV causes a lower immune system, but FIV kitties are fully capable of living long healthy lives! And, FIV positive and negative kitties can live together with no fear of transmission! Do you like your cats making you work to earn their affection? If you said yes, K2 is waiting to join your family! K2 is handsome and he knows it! He loves to be pet when eating, purring and leaning in to get love, but runs in fear any other time you seek him out. He is looking for a loving home, preferably with another mellow cat (he loves to snuggle other cats) and is looking for a quiet home with no kids or dogs.
