Story
Meet Washi ! Washi came into the shelter when her owner was no longer able to care for her.She was uncomfortable in the shelter environment , so we placed her in a foster home where she thrived !Her foster mom reports that while Washi was initially timid, she quickly warmed up.She does prefer to approach you rather than the other way around and she does show some classic calico sass at times.Washi loves her food, but she does need to lose a bit of weigh. She does have some old injuries and will need long term pain management and losing weight will also help with this.We think Washi would do best in a home without other pets or children. Please come in and see me during visiting hours. You can also submit an application online if I am in foster or you would like to save some time when you come visit. While we do welcome online applications, in person meets have top priority.dogs:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/cats:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/Our visiting hours are:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 12-5Thursday, Public Holidays: closedSaturday, Sunday: 12-4 Primary Color: Muted Calico Weight: 6 Age: 6yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
Champ just arrived at our shelter today, July 25th, with two of her siblings, Chomp and Chirp. Her pictures speak for themselves, it would be hard to find a cuter kitten! This litter was also a part the the large scale animal intake of 300 cats in Houston, BC earlier this spring. They were born in our care but they will still be going home with a lot of exposure waivers as a colony of this size would inherently have disease. They are currently healthy and happy and are ready for their comfortable and safe forever home. Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me. You can also submit an application online if I am in foster or you would like to save some time when you come visit. Story
Coby is a calm and affectionate boy. He loves nothing more than pets and snuggles and has the sweetest, softest meows. He tends to get a little nervous around a lot of people or in the presence of loud sounds, so he'd be well-suited as a sole pet in a home without young children or other animals. Coby is very well behaved and never scratches or chews any household items. He does have a lot of curiosity for plants though, so care should be taken to ensure he only has cat-friendly plants around. Coby is not very food motivated, but he really enjoys pets. When you get home, he usually greets you and hops up to receive pets! He also likes to sleep near you. If you enjoy the company of a relaxed cat and you are soft-spoken and relaxed, he will enjoy your love and company!

Story
Fluff is a gorgeous and elegant lady with a lots of personality. When she first arrived in foster care, she was willing to walk across laps and let herself be petted while enjoying treats, but she would otherwise refuse to be touched. Often, she would swat or nip due to defensive nervousness. After months of work, she has blossomed into a sweet and affectionate little love machine. Fluff spends most of her time snoozing on her cat tree and grooming herself. She also enjoys chasing toys, smelling things that have been outside, and parading around with her majestic tail in the air. Aside from dried anchovies, her favourite thing in the world is to be brushed with a long-bristled brush that scratches her through her coat. If you hold the brush for her, she will rub her cheeks against it while she purrs her little heart out. Fluff hasn't gotten on very well with other kitties, and is quite happy being a solo cat. She needs a quiet home without children or other animals, but with lots of love and attention from her person.

Story
Meet our sweet introverted boy Soup!We have recently learned that Soup loves other cats ! We are looking for a home with another friendly cat for Soup to be best friends with. Soupy boy came to us when his guardian could no longer give him the care he needed. This has been a big change and Soup is understandably confused and nervous. Despite his fear, Soup has been very tolerant and patient with staff and volunteers, and will let us give him some loving chin scratches. This big guy has a gorgeous long coat that was unfortunately not cared for, and he needed a shave and some trimming to get rid of painful mats. His future home should be prepared to brush him regularly and to keep his coat in tip-top shape! Soup is an introverted cat and a little fearful, he would like a quiet and adult-only home. Every day Soup is slowly settling in and becoming more trusting, but he will need a patient home that will allow him to blossom in his own time. He has previously lived with another cat but we feel he would be afraid to live with a dog. If you are interested in sweet Soup, please fill out an application online or visit our shelter Tuesdays-Sundays, 12pm-3pm. 🐾 Meet Bebe 🐾Hello, future family! My name is Bebe, and I'm here to sprinkle your life with some sass and spunk! At 11 years young, I may have a few grey whiskers, but trust me, my spirit is as lively as ever.Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm a feline fashionista with a penchant for lounging in sunbeams and batting around feather toys. I've perfected the art of the sassy strut, and I'm not afraid to flaunt it! If you're looking for a cat with personality, you've found her. Now, let's talk about what I'm looking for in a forever home. First and foremost, I need a retirement paradise where I can live out my golden years in comfort and style. Don't get me wrong, I love attention, but I prefer it to be on my terms. Let's just say I'm not the biggest fan of roughhousing or loud noises. A calm and mature environment is more my speed. In return for your love and care, I promise to be the purr-fect companion. Whether you need a snuggle buddy for lazy afternoons or a confidante for midnight chats, I'm here for it all. Plus, I come with years of wisdom and experience - just think of me as your very own feline guru. So, if you're ready to add a dash of sass to your life, why not consider welcoming me, Bebe, into your heart and home?
