Story
Hi! My name is Gumbo and here is a little more about me : My JourneyI was rescued with my siblings from a colony in Riverside and given the chance to grow up safe and loved indoors. Since then, I’ve been embracing the cozy life and showing everyone what a wonderful little companion I can be.My Social LifeOther cats ? I’m great with other cats and truly enjoy their company. Dogs ? Kids ? I haven’t met dogs or children yet, but with my friendly and adaptable nature, I would likely do just fine with proper introductions. I’m a social girl at heart and enjoy being part of the action. My PersonalityAffectionate, friendly, and curious.I’m a cuddly kitten who genuinely enjoys being close to my humans. While I have my playful moments, I’m more of a relaxed soul — I’d often rather snooze in your lap than bounce off the walls. I like to observe the world thoughtfully before jumping in.I Enjoy…Curling up in your lap while you work or watch TVLong, cozy naps (preferably near my favorite person)Lounging by an open window and feeling the breezeBird-watching and quiet observation timeWhen it comes to food, I seem to prefer stew-style wet food (Weruva-style) over pâté — a girl has her standards!I’m Not a Fan Of…I’m generally easygoing and not very picky, though I may turn my nose up at certain wet food textures. Otherwise, I adapt beautifully to my surroundings. What Makes Me SpecialMy extra curly, long whiskers perfectly frame my tiny chin and give me the most charming expression. The soft coloring on my belly and arms makes cuddle time even sweeter — I’m truly a little work of art.My Perfect HomeI’m a super social kitten who could thrive in many different types of homes. Whether you have other cats or it’s just the two of us, I’ll happily settle in. As long as there’s a cozy lap, a sunny window, and someone to love, I’ll be right at home.Young kittens are adopted in pairs or to a home with another playful kitty.

Story
Male | Neutered | Microchipped | 4 years old Reef is a sweet, playful, and affectionate cat who loves attention, playtime, and chatting with his people. He’s well-mannered, independent, and does not scratch furniture. Best fit: • Single-pet home • Experienced cat owner • Quiet, predictable, indoor-only home • Patient adopter Due to major household changes (including a new baby), Reef has struggled with territorial aggression with our other cat. He would thrive best as an only pet in a calm environment. He’s never aggressive toward people and just needs time to settle.

Story
Meet Jet! Jet and his housemates were taken in by a very good friend of their original owner, after they had unfortunately passed away. Their Guardian Angel was able to help care for them, update them on their vetting, and keep them fed and sheltered until The Cat Lounge was able to receive them! Jet likes his own space from his siblings, but is completely tolerant of them being around. As soon as you give him attention, he doesn't want you to stop! His foster also says this about him: "Jet is the prettiest boy ever who WILL eat his siblings' food! He loves snuggles and will meow when hungry or cranky." His beautiful coat will take effort to ensure it stays healthy and smooth, and he is ready to live out the rest of his senior years in another lovely home. Apply to adopt Jet today!February 13, 2026, 11:54 pm

Story
Mimzy was rescued from the streets of Los Angeles in 2020. A fellow rescuer brought them in and put them in foster care to make sure the kitties were safe. She was adopted at 3 months old and was returned to us 5 months later because her previous owners said she was too shy with them and played too roughly with their current cat. 3 days after her return, Mimzy was adopted again. After 4 years in her home, she was brought back to us again because her owner was moving and did not take her. Mimzy has become very fearful as a result of her upbringing, and is looking for a very special home. Likely due to stress, Mimzy recently had a bladder stone. It was surgically removed, as it did not dissolve with therapeutic diets (as some bladder stones do). She has fully recovered from her surgery and is ready for her forever home! She will need to be on a prescription kidney diet long term to help mitigate the formation of new stones. This diet is not safe for cats who do not need it, so she will need to be fed separately from other cats in the home. Mimzy will require a quiet home with patient and experienced cat parents who will take the time to socialize with her. She will hiss or growl when first approached, but opens up after slow, gentle quality time. (Especially if you brush her!) We expect that after some time, love, and patience, that she will blossom into the loving kitty that she is. In her foster home, she has been comforted by the foster's resident cat, and we believe that she would love a home with another calm cat. However, this is not a necessity. If you think that you would be a good fit for Mimzy, please fill out an adoption application, or contact us with an inquiry.February 8, 2026, 4:18 pm
