Story
Patrick has been in foster for over a year now looking for the right home. He is a sweet, loving ball of fluff who enjoys brushing and playtime - he's even ok with other animals. But Patrick gets overstimulated easily, and petting can turn to biting, playtime can turn to attacking. You see, Patrick thinks it's all in good fun and doesn't understand how sharp his claws can be. Patrick needs a cat savvy owner who can anticipate and read feline behavior, and continue to provide Patrick with appropriate playtime and training.

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by their previous owner. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Izzy, a charming adult feline who's seeking a peaceful home to call her own. Izzy is a bit shy, but don't let that deter you. Her initial fearfulness is simply a testament to her sensitive nature. Izzy requires a calm environment where overstimulation is minimal. She prefers a home without dogs, but she would do well with older children who can understand her need for quiet. Adopting Izzy means welcoming a companion who will appreciate your patience and return your kindness with her unique brand of love. Give Izzy a chance to show you the depth of a quiet cat's affection! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 7.6 Age: 7yrs 2mths 2wks

Story
Atlas was found abandoned with his siblings. He was bottle fed as a kitten. He is very lovable. Atlas is the most curious of the litter. The first to try everything, the leader of the group. He’s definitely the most playful of the litter. He is up to date on shots and neutered.I have been fostering him since he was a kitten, and he’s still looking for his forever home.

Story
Midsommar came to Smittens from Mexico. She has no eyes- we're not sure if she has genetic microopthalmia, or if her eyes were a result of untreated eye infections as a kitten. When she came into rescue, Midsommar also tested positive for FeLV. Despite all that Smittens got her the vet care she needed, put her in a loving foster home, and Midsommar is thriving! She is very sweet and loving, and wants to be near you throughout the day, even if she is just napping in a chair nearby. She gets along with dogs as long as they are gentle and patient. She has a good appetite and loves treats, too. She likes small toys and catnip. Because she is FeLV+ Midsommar cannot live with other cats that do not already have FeLV. FeLV is not contagious to other animals including humans or dogs. Her viral status may shorten her lifespan, however there is no treatment or specific needs that Midsommar needs in the meantime! She just wants a home to love her, for however long she may have left, whether that be a year or 10 years.

Story
We've had Mara about 3 months now. She lived with a young lady in a small apartment. In our house, we have 4 people. I don't think the cat likes all the random noises and hasn't settled in here. Sometimes at night, she cries at the front door. She just wants someone to be with her but when we put in our one of our rooms or beds, she just runs downstairs. She is a really sweet cat, loves to be brushed and relax in the sun on the front walkway. She probably needs a 1 person home that is relatively quiet.

UPDATE: They have been adopted! Hi!! we are a bonded pair of sisters. Bon Bon & Cookie: Bon Bon is a Maine Coon; she has a long hair and will be a large kitten - her sister Cookie has medium hair; she is more noble, and easy going - while Bon Bon has the princess attitude but both of them are so lovable:) They both love to play together, sleep together and they both know how to use their litter box and they love to play with balls and use their scratching poles. My adoption fee includes my 1st vaccine, spayed. And dewormed, and a free health check up through a local participating vet clinic is included in the adoption fee.
