Since Rufus made it to adulthood (which is rare for FeLV+ kittens) and was doing so well, we retested him for FeLV on October 8, 2024. He tested negative! We retest FeLV+ cats who make it to adulthood because they have a 60% chance of shedding the virus naturally. Rufus is now in the 60% Club! Rufus is the sweetest, most loving and vocal (when it comes to wet food) kitten ever! Rufus gets along great with the other kittens and cats, is extremely playful, and the cutest cat in our facility (don’t tell the other kittens!). Since Rufus is now FeLV- he’ll fit into any household who wants a very playful, loving kitty!
