Brinley came to us as a heavily pregnant stray cat. She had 4 beautiful kittens which she cared for and was an exceptional mom cat! Melba had a similar story, came to us pregnant as a mostly feral (but never aggressive) cat. She raised her babies in foster and has been slowly learning to trust us humans. The two girls became very bonded, eat together, sleep together and find comfort in each other. They need an experienced cat home.Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received. Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. This sweet boy was abandoned near our home. He is not microchipped and no one claimed him following report to local shelters. Our vet examined, neutered, and administered his shots. He is a very sweet, docile boy but we have three other adult cats and two of those refuse to tolerate him. We are hoping to rehome him. We live in Rockford but are often in Janesville and Madison, WI if it would be helpful for us to coordinate drop off closer to new home.

UPDATE 1-2-26: Floyd is slowly coming out of his shell and showing more of his personality. He enjoys exploring the room and keeping himself busy by finding hidden toys. He does great with the other cats. Once he spends a couple minutes with you he likes to be pet. He is a playful boy and so handsome!Meet Floyd! This handsome boy came to us with his three siblings from Animal Rescue Corps, where they were brought in as strays. Him and his brother seem like they could possibly be large kitties when they get older. Floyd is very curious and likes to take time exploring the room, finding all the good smells. Adoption Donation: $175 All cats are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, and FeLV/FIV tested at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present at the time of your appointment (unless your dog has had prior exposure to cats.)
