Story
Acorn is a gorgeous 6-year-old medium-haired black female. She is very playful and loves wand toys. She's very skittish and needs a patient home that can take the time to earn her trust. Once she gets to know you, she enjoys gentle pets. Acorn would prefer other cats that are mellow and gentle. She was also good with the small, older dogs at her foster home. Acorn is not litter-box trained.

Can you say absolutely gorgeous? Because if you can, you must be talking about Vega! This girl is stop you in your tracks pretty - and we're not going to lie - she definitely knows it. Vega was found on the streets of Chicago and after searching for an owner with no luck, her finders reached out to rescues looking for someone to help - and we couldn't say no to this adorable face. We soon found out that Vega had a surprise for us - this beauty was pregnant and soon gave birth to four adorable kittens. Now that her babies are all grown up, it's time for her to find her forever home. Vega would prefer a quieter home where her true personality can shine through. She absolutely wants to be your permanent lap warmer but finds a lot of hustle and bustle to be a little bit overwhelming at times. She lives in a foster home with other cats and dogs and while she tolerates the situation, she definitely seems to prefer when things are more relaxed and quiet. A laid back Saturday night on the couch with popcorn and a movie? Count Vega in, that is absolutely her vibe. The more comfortable this girl becomes, the more this sweetie becomes a total lap cat. She absolutely bonds with her people and we would definitely classify her as a lap cat with her people. Now, don't forget, Vega is a tortie- so she does have that tortitude side and will give you her opinion if she feels like she has to - but only if you're taking her spot on the couch - which is her favorite spot in the house. If you're looking for a girl that is beauty, brains and destined to be your best companion, Vega is definitely your girl. Ready to bask in this girl's glory? Story
Meet Reggie: Professional Snack Enthusiast, Couch Connoisseur, Big Soft Boy Reggie is a very handsome domestic long-haired gentleman with a grey body, snowy white feet, and a white chest and face that make him look permanently dressed for a fancy dinner. Weighing in at nearly 16 pounds, he’s basically a grey Garfield—minus the lasagna, plus the charm. Reggie had a rough start to life and was found outside, so the whole “living indoors with people” thing is still kind of blowing his mind. He knows he likes humans (especially the ones with food), and he is obsessed with ear scratches. Seriously—ear scratches are his love language. That said, sometimes he gets a little overstimulated because everything is still new, so he’ll do best with people who can read his signals and give him space when he needs it. Did we mention food? Because Reggie LOVES food. Feeding time is his time to shine, and he will happily announce it to the entire household with his impressive vocal talents. He's a chatty boy, especially when it's time for dinner! We estimate Reggie is about 2 years old, so he's a young guy ready to live out many years with his future owners. What we don’t know about his past, we do know about his future: it includes a warm couch, full food bowls, and being snuggled up next to his people like he’s always meant to be there. Reggie is ready for the good life—and honestly, the good life is ready for Reggie. Adopt Chile! You’ve heard of “a little spicy”? Well, Chile started off as a little more than a little spicy, but with time, this boy's heat has been extinguished and now he's ready for his forever home. His estimated birthday is 3.29.2025. With his sleek, long black fur, adorable white chest patch, and smoldering stare, this barn-born boy knows he’s gorgeous—and acts accordingly. He’s not here to win your affection with soft meows and an immediate leap into your lap - Chile makes you work for his love - but it's oh so worth it when you win him over. Chile has a playful side - one that comes out most when he's with other kitty friends, so we do think he would like to have a feline friend, but we also think he could do ok on his own. He's a boy that's been through a lot, but if you give him time, this sweet boy will show you that he was well worth the wait. Story
Adopt Chik-Fil-A (“Fil”) – your future professional food critic and playtime champion! Looking for a cat with personality, energy, and a hilarious streak? Meet Chik-Fil-A, lovingly known as Fil, a big ball of fun who will keep you entertained every single day. His estimated birthday is 1/27/2024. Fil truly enjoys the company of people, whether he knows you well or just met you. He loves men and women equally and will happily approach to say hello. While he’s not a traditional lap cat, he absolutely wants to be part of the action. He prefers to hang out nearby, nuzzle your closed hand for attention, and soak up chin scritches (his favorite!). He does best with affection on his terms. Fil doesn’t love being picked up or heavily handled, but he does love being included. He’s the kind of cat who wants to be in the same room, observing and participating in daily life. Since entering foster care, he has settled in beautifully. He used to run from movement, but now he’s much more comfortable when people walk around him. He’ll even come when called in the morning to greet his humans, which is a very sweet way to start the day. He can be hesitant with new rooms and spaces and is a bit sensitive to sudden movements or loud noises, so he may take a little time to fully warm up in a new home. Once he does, his playful and silly personality really shines. Fil lives for playtime. He loves batting around small mouse toys and will often initiate play on his own. Feather wand toys are another favorite, and he’s happy to entertain himself when they’re set up for him. Crinkly packing paper is pure joy in his world and becomes his personal “forest” to frolic in. When he’s feeling especially playful, he may swat at your feet as you walk by. And when everyone is relaxing, he has the cutest habit of stretching out dramatically on the floor and rolling from side to side on his back the moment you give him attention, as if to say, “Yes, I am adorable. Thank you for noticing.” He is extremely food-motivated and always excited for mealtime. Churu treats are his absolute favorite, and even the possibility of getting one will have him running over. If enthusiasm were a sport, Fil would be a champion eater. Fil has not yet been exposed to other cats or dogs. He has had limited exposure to children and may be slower to warm up with young kids due to his sensitivity to quick movements and loud noises, but older, respectful children would likely be just fine. Because of his energy and love for attention, he would thrive in a home where people are present during the day to engage with him, play with him, and maybe even give him a lunchtime snack. Like many young, playful cats, he benefits from interactive play, especially before bedtime, to help burn off extra energy. Fil is not a couch potato; he’s a lively, curious, people-oriented companion who will bring laughter, movement, and personality into your home. If you’re looking for an interactive cat who wants to be your sidekick and part of the family, Chik-Fil-A might just be your perfect match. Can you say tall, dark and handsome? Feast your eyes on the mesmerizing Notion. Notion is a striking long-haired black cat, born around January 1, 2025, with an air of quiet confidence that grows on you the longer you know him. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, preferring to observe from a distance at first, but once he warms up, his sweet and affectionate side comes through. Notion gets along well with other cats, most especially the love of his life, Figment. He enjoys gentle handling from people he trusts. His foster mom can pick him up, and he happily accepts pets and affection, proving that beneath his cool exterior is a cat who enjoys connection. He carries himself with a calm, nonchalant attitude and tends to take life as it comes. When playtime calls, Notion has excellent taste—spring toys and light-up balls are his favorites, and he’s content entertaining himself or joining in when the mood strikes. He’s not overly energetic, preferring a balanced mix of play, relaxation, and looking effortlessly handsome while doing both. If Notion had a career, he’d be a real estate agent: charming, polished, cool under pressure, and very easy on the eyes. He’s the kind of cat who doesn’t rush—he simply waits for the right people to come along. Notion is looking for a patient home that will give him a little time to settle in and show his true colors. In return, he offers calm companionship, quiet affection, and a steady presence that makes any space feel a little more put together. He has a very close bond to his girlfriend Figment, so we are looking for a home for these two beauties together.
