Story
Acorn is a gorgeous medium-haired black female. She is very playful and loves wand toys. She's quite skittish and needs a patient home. Once she gets to know you, she enjoys gentle pets and will sometimes sit on your shoulder. Acorn would prefer other cats that are mellow and gentle. She was also good with the small, older dogs at her foster home.--IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ: If you would like to meet our adoptable cats, you must be approved for adoption! To be approved for adoption, please visit our website, www.willcountyhumane.com and fill out a General Adoption Application. You can read about our adoption process and fill out the form on the 'Adoption Process' Page. We do NOT offer walk-in or same day viewing! Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.-The adoption fee for adult cats is $150. Aside from the shelter, food and water, and compassion they receive while in our care, this also includes veterinary services such as Rabies, Feline Distemper, Calicivirus and Feline Rhino Vaccines. Feline Leukemia/FIV testing, microchipping, and Spays/Neuters are also included as part of the adoption fee.

Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
April is a beautiful, sweet, talkative girl looking for her forever home. She was found lying by the side of the road and never reclaimed. She is very laid back and affectionate and would make a great companion. She is estimated to be about 7 and needs to be on a prescriptionl diet as she was found to have some kidney stones. They are not currently bothering her and she uses her litter box faithfully. Her foster mom says she loves to be brushed and purrs when being held. She really, really does not like other cats. Her adoption fee is WAIVED to an approved adopter. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and has received routine labwork. Please contact us via email to get an application emailed to you. Meetings are scheduled after the application is approved. Please email us to start the process.

Story
Max and Missy. Sigh. They are just the most perfect cats. Max is the type of cat to greet you in the morning with face rubs and a symphony of purrs. He LOVES people. You would be hard-pressed to find a cat who loves to be touched more than Max - Touching, nuzzling, holding like a baby… He loves it all! We lovingly refer to him as our “shadow cat” because he will follow us from room to room and is never far away. An added bonus is that he’s great with our 20lb cockapoo puppy! If Max is the cuddly one, then Missy is the sweet one. She doesn’t meow, she chirps. It’s just about the cutest thing we’ve ever heard. She also follows us around the house, but is a little more subtle in her approach. She makes an excellent guard cat and spends most of her time perched near a window ensuring that no squirrels or birds get too close. Got a spider or fly problem? Not anymore! Missy is an excellent insect catcher and earns her keep as the home exterminator. All in all, we have fostered for many years and have never come across sweeter cats. They will be a great addition to any family. Interested in meeting Max & Missy? All our cats are in foster homes as we do not have a facility where people can come and meet the cats at any time. The first step is to complete our online application at the link below. Once we have an approved application we can set up an appointment for you to meet Max & Missy Please copy/paste the link below into a browser window to get started. https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application The adoption fee of $270 for the pair includes spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new cat for your family. Although we make the best guess on the breed of our cats, because they come from shelters, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the cat. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED! Thank you for wanting to adopt a Starfish Animal Rescue cat!
