Story
Sandy was taken in by her foster family along with her kittens from a local neighborhood. She has very soft blond hair with an impressively long tail. She is a polydactyl cat (has extra toes on her paws). She is a bit shy around new people but warms up to men. Sandy would be great for a quiet home with someone who has the patience to get to know her. She likes the back of her ears and under her chin scratched. Sandy purrs loudly and has an adorable meow when she's hungry. Story
Josephine was born in Alabama in December 2022. She was found as a stray with her brother George and sister Josephine at about 2 months old. They were fostered before coming to Almost Home Foundation at the end of March 2023. After receiving their shots and a clean bill of health, George and Josephine are now looking for their forever home.Josephine is an adventurous kitten and is often the first to explore. She enjoys climbing the cat tree and likes to peer out the front window to watch the bunnies, squirrels and birds in the neighborhood. Josephine gets very excited when chasing the laser light and is not afraid to jump after the dancing red dot!Because George and Josephine had a rough start at life, they are shy at first and slow to trust. They can be startled by loud sounds or quick movements so it would be best for them to be in a home that does not have small children. An individual, couple, or family with older kids who will give George and Josephine time to adjust to their new surroundings would be ideal.Almost Home's Adoption Requirements:* Be at least 21 years of age* Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household* Have written approval from owner of residence* Have a valid government-issued photo ID with current address* Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Almost Home Foundation* Be ready to make a lifetime commitment* Live in the greater Chicagoland area (Illinois residents only)* Pass a veterinarian reference check for current and past petsIf you are interested in Josephine and George, please email cats@almosthomefoundation.org or complete an online adoption application at www.almosthomefoundation.org/adopt-a-cat/.*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, checks, or Zelle for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
George was born in Alabama in December 2022. He was found as a stray with his sisters Josephine and Slick at about 2 months old. They were fostered before coming to Almost Home Foundation at the end of March 2023. After receiving their shots and a clean bill of health, George and Josephine are now looking for their forever homes together.George is a laid-back kitten who enjoys sleeping in a number of strange positions. He loves to play with puff balls and is often found hiding them under tables and chairs. George is an independent kitten and has no problem playing by himself or with his sister. He is happy to run through his favorite tunnel toy or watch nature through the front window, but George's absolutely favorite activity is eating!Because George and Josephine had a rough start at life, they are shy at first and slow to trust. They can be startled by loud sounds or quick movements so it would be best for them to be in a home that does not have small children. My name is Harry. I'm a gorgeous, long haired orange and white tabby boy. I'm about 3.5 years old and I'm looking for my forever family! I get the zoomies, so I would love for a home where I have room to run and play. I'm also affectionate with my human and like to strike up the occasional conversation. Story
**Moxy is located in St. Charles, IL** Hi. My name is Moxy. I'm a semi-feral, 11-year old domestic long hair kitty. I was found in a feral cat colony. I really like other cats but am very wary of humans. I will co-exist with you, but probably will never be a lap cat. Due to my long hair I do require regular grooming. Since I'm scared of humans, its easier to bring me to the vet. Fill out an adoption application at http://illinoisanimalrescueinc.org/?page_id=4079 All cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, current on their vaccinations, feline leukemia/FIV tested, per age; treated for fleas/ticks and urgently awaiting adoption! The dogs and cats are so very appreciative of your support. Together we can save these forsaken loving 'innocents' who are condemned to death. For more information on adoption, please contact info@illinoisanimalrescueinc.org
