Story
Finn is turning 3 this summer and is my very bestest friend. He is playful, snuggly, and vocal but really spends a lot of time sleeping. He avoids new people for the first few days, but then warms up to company. He LOVES to be brushed, and churro pouches (or any brand) and he will cry if he can see the bottom of his food bowl. He was my college girl cat that kept me company when I was alone so he is used to quiet. He used to always sleep with me day and night… but now I have a baby and He actually loves her but accidentally scratches her n snuggles her face. I do a lot of solo parenting bc of my husbands job and I feel so bad I don’t want him to be sad and begging for attention for the next however long - plus we know we will move several more times soon. It’s a super hard decision, but I hope that making it sooner than later will help give him a happier life in the long run - even if it’s a rough couple weeks.

Story
Back in February of 2021 my girlfriend at the time and I came across a craigslist ad of some kittens that were for free in a neighboring city so we reached out and ended up taking home two from the litter; a boy kitten (Kobain) and a girl kitten (Kehlani). They are brother and sister from the same litter and are extremely bonded and cannot be separated. Everyday they spend much of their time interacting with each other whether it be playfully wrestling, or grooming each other or just simply laying and cuddling next to each other. Kehlani is very sweet and gentle, she's a little bit more shy compared to her adventurous brother but still very cuddly and loves to come hang out especially when just hanging out at home. They're both pretty responsive to their names and love to play. If you're looking for some cats that will cuddle with you and hang out then these are the ones for you.

HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org ---Woodstock and Snoopy are Bonded Buddies. They'll be adopted as a pair. - Loves "Churu" treats - this is a great way to bond with her- Prefers dry kibble over canned food - A shy, gentle girl who welcomes pets and loves getting chin scratches- A petite kitty who is just a sweet as can be and is simply adorable - Looking for a home with patient family members who will give her time to open up and let her take things at her own pace. She does best when she starts out in her own room and is slowly introduced to the rest of the house over a few weeks until she feels comfortable - Has a lot of love to give and will be a wonderful companion for a quiet person or two who will allow her to settle in at her own slow pace. Once you've earned her trust, you're in for a lifetime of loud purrs and playful antics- Will be a terrific friend for a calm, patient person who loves the quiet life just like she doesAll adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age) Primary Color: Black Weight: 4.79 Age: 3yrs 10mths 4wks

Story
- Cuddly, friendly and laid-back kitty who enjoys sitting next to you - Likes being petted on her head and back- Once she feels comfortable with you, she purrs up a storm and will give kisses and bumps - When feeling playful likes hanging out in her cat tree - Stressed around dogs and other cats, and needs to be the only pet in her new home - Will thrive in a more mature home - Happiest in calm, quiet environment- Needs a regular, extra-large, uncovered litterbox with regular unscented litter in a quiet, accessible areaThis cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting! It will be so rewarding to watch them gain confidence and start enjoying all the good things in life! All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age) Primary Color: Calico Weight: 11.5 Age: 4yrs 7mths 2wks
