Sergi is a 2-year-old, long-haired male cat who arrived at the shelter with other feline companions. He’s a bit shy and doesn’t tolerate sudden movements well, so a home without dogs or children is recommended. Sergi may require some time to adapt to his new environment, and he has a folded ear due to past trauma.” Thank you for your interest in providing a forever home for an animal who needs your love! Adult cats are $50, this includes spay or neuter, rabies shot (if over 4 months), FVRCP (distemper), worming, flea treatment, FIV/FeLV testing, and microchip( lifetime, No fees). Kittens (6 months and under) are $70 or 2 for $100. If the cat is at the rescue, email happytalesiowa@gmail.com to set up an appointment. Shadow and her 3 kittens had been living under a shed when someone brought them to the shelter. They were all well socialized and healthy looking, so like so many of our animals, their story is a mystery. Shadow is now done raising her kits, and two have already been adopted. Shadow is hoping it will soon be her turn! She's a gentle and quiet girl with beautiful green eyes. She seems neutral toward other cats, doesn't really want to be friends but doesn't cause trouble either. Very lovely girl!

Grayson was an outdoor stray cat that a friend had been feeding since spring. It was now October and with winter coming was contemplating the rescue league. When my friend told me about him, I wanted to meet him. I had lost a cat in August and thought my other cat was lonely. Long story short, I fell for him. He’s absolutely beautiful and turned 2 in May. He loves cuddles and goes limp in your arms when you pick him up. He has a very loud purr and loves neck, face pets and sometimes belly rubs. He’s very playful and loves wand toys, strings, catnip and anything that he can bat around. He likes to lay on laps, in cat tree climbers, cat beds, boxes or anything he can fit in. I’ve have had him for a year and he does not like my other cat. He wants to attack her. I have to keep them separated at all times. He is territorial from being a stray. I have tried everything! I love him dearly but it’s not fair to either cat. I believe he’d be a great only cat in a home.

When Caramel deLite arrived at Kiya Koda, a fabulous animal shelter in Warren County, she gave the impression of being one tough cookie. She could not be handled at Kiya Koda, and they asked if we could take her, says her foster mom at Whiskers. You wouldnt know that now. She is sweet! And thats even after the whirlwind shes been through: She arrived at Kiya Koda on April 1, Whiskers on the 5th and had her babies about a week later! Since then, shes been such a good mama to her Girl Scout litter, Do-Si-Do, Tagalong and Thin Mint. She even adopted, Rally, a frail fourth kitten in desperate need of help. Now, Caramel deLite is ready to delight a human family of her own. Not only is she stunning with her fluffy tortie coat, according to her foster mom, she has all the ingredients of a perfect companion: I can pick her up, shell sit on your lap, we can walk around while carrying her Could Caramel deLite bring a fresh batch of affection your way? - Buzz.
