Spookaloo is 7 years old. He is a sweet boy who just wants snuggles. He loves to rub faces and follow you around the house. He will herd you to his food dish if he can see the bottom, even if there's still enough food in there to last for a week. He loves to go outside, but only under the cover of darkness. He will come back in within an hour every time. He gets anxious in new places. And will probably hide for the first week he's in your home. He does not get along with dogs and it's very rare he likes another cat. He does well with kids, but does not like to be played rough with. Rehoming due to an upcoming move and time away from home. The time away from home can be up to two weeks at a time. I want him to go to a home where his love cup will be filled daily and he can live out his days in comfort. I'm hoping I can find him a home through here. I do not want to put him in a shelter.

Meet Spicy, AKA Yoda Spicy is a gorgeous 5 mo white male cat with blue or hazel eyes, depending upon his mood. He is deaf, which makes him a bit shy upon first meeting. He is actually a huge cuddlebug, known to habitually fall asleep, nestled in your arms, head tucked into your elbow. He loves having his head slowly stroked, or his soft, sleek muscular body. He is the "purr-fect foil to his rowdy bestie & condo-mate, Dory, whose only off-button is sleep! The 2 of them tussle, romp, play, groom, & snuggle together. Spicy can be adopted alone, but would do best with a companion cat. His preference would be Dory for that role (hint, hint, nudge, nudge ) God's Dogs Rescue plus Kitties does NOT transport any cats or kittens in or out of the state of Texas. It is too stressful for the cats or kittens to be transported long distances, especially when enclosed in a vehicle containing dogs and puppies. Thank you for your understanding. Lorelei and Autumn are Bonded Buddies. They'll be adopted as a pair.This cat has shown signs of overstimulation while in the shelter. Lots of handling, playing with hands, and excessive petting can cause them to overstimulate, which can result in scratching and/or biting. This cat is looking for experienced cat owners who will watch this cat's body language while interacting to note signs of overstimulation (tail waving, fur rippling, dilated pupils, ears turned back and quick body movements) and be willing to respect their boundaries. This cat will also benefit from interactive toys such as wands and ball spinners while playing. We are happy to speak with you more when you visit and can provide post-adoption resources. To schedule a time to meet this kitten, please email ARL-Adoption@arl-iowa.org.---Lollipop and Sunshine are Bonded Buddies; they'll be adopted as a pair - Gorgeous floofy baby who was undersocialized when she came to us; has made good progress in a foster home, but she's looking for someone who will treat her with understanding and know that it will take extra time for her to settle in and trust her new people - Prefers slow, quiet approaches and will come over to visit her foster family if they are working or sitting quietly - Once she feels comfortable she is curious and energetic - Very food-motivated, and especially loves tube treats such as Churu - they are the way to her heart! - Please plan on starting her and her buddy in one room of your home and giving them quite a bit of time (possibly weeks) to become comfortable with that area and with you before allowing them access to larger areas of the home; this process will help set them up for success by not overwhelming them- All these kittens need are some patience and time and a calm, quiet home; it will be rewarding to watch them become more comfortable every day! This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal.
