Boo is a very friendly and sweet young cat. He was born with genetic deformities on both back legs. He had an Ortho consult and the Dr had never seen this exact condition before. The Dr does not believe he is in pain. Boo acts happy and gets around just fine! Mac Dubh This Heartthrob is worth swooning over. Mac Dubh is a beautiful cat with a gorgeous, full black coat and a puffy, soft tail.  Funny story, he had to be neutered not once, but twice, because he had a mysterious floating teste! He is all healed up now, cleared by the vet, and ready for his forever home.  He is easy to handle and likes to sit high on your shoulder and be carried around.  He is very vocal and walks around his foster house meowing and talking. He loves to play with all sorts of cat toys, and has been known to disassemble complicated toys to see how they work.  He is very much a lap cat and enjoys walking all over you. Sometimes, for comfort, he kneads and sucks on blankets. He comes to his foster mom when called just like a dog!  Mac Dubh resides with two other cats. After about a week of adjustment, he got along with the older, mellow male cat just fine. It took a few more weeks of rotating the younger resident cat and Mac Dubh but now they are friends and chase each other around the house for fun. For that reason, he would probably do best with a mellow, older cat who isn’t worried about being the alpha cat or possibly a female cat, or as an only cat— he won’t mind all the attention!  If he is entering a home with a more playful cat, it may take a few weeks (and a few scuffles) but we think he would adjust fine with a little time. Mac does not like the dog in his foster home, so they just stay away from each other.  He likes the children in his home, but can get play bitey when overstimulated. The nine year old picks him up and carries him around. He is good at communicating via body language, so it’s easy to predict when Mac is overstimulated and we just give him a little break from affection and he calms down very easily. This has already improved since he’s been in his foster home over a few weeks.  Mac is neutered (twice ), vaccinated, FELV/FIV negative, dewormed, and up to date on flea and tick topical treatment.  Mac Dubh has stunning looks and a stunning personality! Phoenix is a big loving boy!  He is as sweet as he is Handsome. He is on stool softeners 2x daily. They are inexpensive and he takes them like a champ! Louie was found as a stray. He is so loving and sweet. He just wants to be around people and get pets. He loves to chase after toys. He seems to be ok with other cats and dogs if you introduce very slowly. Also he likes to play by chasing the cats so would need a cat that likes to play chase as well. He would be fine in a home with no pets as he loves people. Updated 4/14/24 - Athena is a spayed female long haired gray and white cat. She came to us when her owner passed away. She loves to be in your lap. She is a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly. Stop in to meet her any day until 3:30 PM or call 908-859-3060 for more information.

Thor is approximately 2-3 years old. He was found in Philly on a pile of leaves. He is friendly, but needs time to adjust to his new people. Redsey is 1 year old and is just gorgeous. He loves to play and watch the birdies outside while he relaxes in the window. Taco was found outside as a stray and no one claimed him. Hard to believe this handsome face did not have someone missing him! He is still a little bit timid but does like to be pet and is making cat friends in his foster home!

Mr. Chill is our gorgeous solid grey and white long haired handsome, young boy that is a miracle cat.  A vet that Critter Cavalry Rescue works with, called about Mr. Chill who was brought in to their clinic with a badly broken leg that required surgery and a pin in his leg.  The senior couple could not afford the surgery and they were going to euthanize this handsome boy.  Critter Cavalry Rescue paid the $1,000 bill to fix his leg and save his life.  He was worth it !!!!  His regular name was Cloudy but we nicknamed him Mr. Chill.  He has been healing so nicely and getting friendlier and snuggly the past 3 weeks since we picked him up from the vet’s office after surgery.  He greets his foster mom at the door in the morning, ready for her to pick him up and hold him over her shoulder.  He wants lots of head scratches, please!  He has started walking on all four legs now, but he still travels with a slight limp in his giddy-up.  Thankfully all the nerves in his paw seem to be intact and we marvel at what a trouper he has been!  As you can see from his good looks , he is also a gentleman and has been so tolerant of the other younger and more energetic kitten in the cat room of the house.  He has never hurt her; he hasn’t even growled to ask her to please quiet down and behave.  He just embraces the fun.  Mr. Chill is all that and more….such gentle boy.  He is  destined to become a lap cat, not because he has to, but because he wants to.  Purring is guaranteed with his adoption and at no extra charge!   Please write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   May 6, 2024, 7:28 pm

Mary is our most precious girl that is 8 months old and only 6 pounds.  She is a heavenly vision in our book.  The solid grey mixed with the ethereal white long fur is just so inviting to pet and stroke and snuggle with her.  She is all of that angelic approach and more.  Mary loves to lounge around the house looking like a 1940’s Glam Girl and who actually personifies it with her very calm nature.  This is a truly unique cat that you will count as one of the top companion pets in  your lifetime.  She is super sweet and loves belly rubs as a sign of affection and connection as well. She is incredibly affectionate and loves playing with wand toys that dance in front of her face and lures her into a game of chase and pounce. She sleeps next to her foster mom’s pillow every night and it such a comfort and loving connection.  She was adopted recently to a home that had a very aggressive and alpha cat that truly  was mean and hateful to Mary. We took her back for her own safety and it has taken 3 months to get her back to a good frame of mind.
