Meet Socks 🐾Socks was found as a flea infested, limping kitten beside the road. We fed him, treated him for fleas, and let his leg heal....needless to say, he and has lived with us ever since.He is friendly with adults and enjoys attention, often following people around the yard and sitting on laps. He is neutered; fully vaccinated as of May 2026. He is kept up to date on flea prevention. And has no known health issues.The summer heat and winter cold are difficult for him.Due to family allergies, he cannot remain indoors at our home. He has often been allowed in our sunroom during cold winter nights. He uses litter box just fine. He was raised around children, but had become less predictable with them as he has aged and might scratch. He has lived with other cats and may adjust, but would likely do best as the only pet so he can get all the attention. He would do well as an indoor cat or as an outdoor cat that gets to come in when he wants.

Vader was rescued from a hoarder situation in 2018. He is now 8 years old and has been my best friend ever since. He is funny, playful, and loving with those he’s comfortable with. The only reason baby boy is posted here 8 years later is (due to his origin story) Vader was not socialized. As a result, he shows aggressive/territorial behavior toward other cats and still runs and hides from new people. I have another cat who is a senior who has developed uti/crystals as a result of his behavior. After years of reintroductions, Feliway, and more ignored toys than I can count, I am hoping to find him a new home so I can continue to foster other cats safely. He needs an experienced pet owner who can handle behavioral issues OR a single cat household. If rehome is successful $50 Fee will be refunded after 90 days. He will come with a metal litter box, small cat tower, cardboard scratchers, a couple toys and a small cat bed. Videos/pics are expected periodically during 90 day trial.
